Paper flowers in 10 min card challenge

yhahoooooooooouuuu It's Friday!

It is also "The 10 min Card Challenge"

This is when my wonderful partner Sandi and I get together across the miles to make a card in 10 min

okay let me rephrase that -

WE TRY to make a card in 10 min!

soooooooo today we have a fabulous colour challenge for you!

I love colour challenges!

 

Sooooooo here's how it goes!

I will attempt to make a card in 10 min and then you will go have a visit with my friend

Sandi............ You will just love her work, cause she is totally amazing and that is my I call her

MY IDOL!

and then you will go to your craft area and you will make your card.........

oh but wait that is not it, then you  need to come back right here and enter your name in

Mister Linkey so you get a chance to win a PRETTY badge to wear on your blog

FUN uh??

All right, a lot of people say to me

"it takes me an hour to decide what to make"

okay well you know what

ME TOO

soooooooo I thought I would show you what happens before I even I begin my card

I do a lot of tial and errors, cause I would fail everytime otherwise

 

With this card I started with our colour challenge

Ruby Red

So Saffon

Very Vanilla

Soft Suede

 

I wanted to recreate my flowers that I did tutorial on the other day!

I got explain why

sooooooooo This blog always has so much to offer to me, and I always get so much from my

 blogging friends

so Megan directed me to her tutorial that she had on her blog

and so I got some new ideas - cause her flowers were totally amazing!

 

having said that I went back to the drawing board

I tried a few different dies of flower shapes

yha well that is not so good

let me try another one

that was a flop as well

ouh yes this may just work

then I tried to cut in between the lines just like Megan did

something new for me I created

a shimmer spray!

I used shimmer paint in a  little spray bottle and some water

and we got shimmer spray

aint this pretty 

I was at the end of my little bottle of shimmer paint, so I made sure that the little ball bearing fell into my spray bottle - which helps keep the shimmer well mixed when I shake it

way to coooooolllllll! :)

love it

and so after I crimpled and uncrimpled

I love it

I am ready now to really start on my 10 min card

let's see how things go for me today okay?

the beginning

 so I start with my colour challenge

two dies

the butterflies die that is new in the

Stampin Up Occacions Mini

 

the Simple Flower Embosslits Die

Which is on Page 195

of the Idea Book

 

and an embossing folder

Called "Stampin Up Elegant Bouquet textrued impression embossing folder"

which is on

Page  195 also of the Idea Book

 

I also used the

Designer Label Punch on Page 187

 

and the New Stamp set called

With all my heart

 

Ready to rock and roll

I first embossed the my Soft suede piece of card stock 

on My BIG SHOT

oh yha I know I think I am addicted to this tool!!

 

Then I created alot of flowers

FAST FAST FAST he he :)

now it's shimmer time

and talking about time and I am doing soooooooooo good

oh and for the sake of time I will not be cutting these flowers

so I will spray and leave them go assemble the rest of my card and come back

I discovered that this mix dries SUPER fast

which is good uh??

spritzed

so the thing is with this technique is that the cardstock becomes really soft

so it's much easier to crimple up

so while my flowers are drying I went and stamped my word

and I punched

you know I could just call it good at this point right

and that would mean this card only took me about 7 min

but as I am sure you know me by now he he :)

it won't be

lol

I grabbed my dried flowers 

quickly may I add I even tripped over our Big dog Goldie

I am such a clutz goodness - Ididn't hurt Goldie he he :-)

and I did even fall LOL

so after I crimpled I uncrimpled and stacked the 

So Saffron flowers one onto onto another and did the same 

with the Ruby Red Flowers

now this is beautiful uh???

and in my rush of beating the timmer I left out the photo of me putting in the brad

in the center of these beauties

sorry!

I get all worried trying to make it in my 10 min

Tell me why we do this every week Sandi LOL

We are CRAZY

Cause I am  ALMOST out of time now

 
and you know I could just assemble all of this right now and maybe be only like 1 or 2 min over

but noooooooooooo

I got to do it all the way

ghuhr!

anyways I gave it another good sprintz and  then let it dry

I just love doing the flowers this way

what do you think?

okay so I am at least 4 mins over

I think I need timer, like Sandi's you know

maybe next week I will have a new timer that will be even more accurate

an I should name it just like Sandi's Mr. Nasty lol

any suggestions for a name for my new timer???

the ribbon that I would have preferred to use would of been a satin ribbon coloured

With All my Heart begins new Challenge

Good morning it's Monday!

Sadly the weekend is over! What a wonderful weekend I had yhippy! Got sooooooooooo much done!

This week over at Late Night Stampers is all about the Vintage look!

soooooooo are you ready to see some vintage stuff from "ME" he he ?>

Should be fun right???

okay and then silly I always sign up for all these things cause I just love it - and then I have finish these projects..................

soooooooo...............

let's see what kind of projects I had to do this weekend! Are you ready???

okay so I have swap that I had to do cards for...........

I decided to use the vintage theme and with it I found Makeesha's colour challenge which I thought was just perfect!

I also used the Sketch from Card Patterns

It started more like this but I really mixed it up - if you look at it side ways it

that is what I did pretty much LOL!

Then I told myself........... Keep it simple Carole'Anne

well let's see how simple I kept my Vintage swap card LOL

I started with the colour above on Sunday morning at 1:00am I know I am soooo CRAZY I could not sleep, so down to my wonderfully warm and cozy craft room.......

after taking my card stock out...................

I started with alot of dies and alot of BIG SHOT action

I know someone is going to enjoy more Big Shot ideas.................

I then continued with some leaves and a few trial and errors and BAD

me I forgot to document those I was so intensilly working on these that I left out the photos sorry

After doing alot of flowers on my big shot I used our new Flower punch from the mini

it's on page 13!

then I punched a bunch of little circles

ouh I bet you are wondering what the heck I am doing LOL

okay so now that the damage is done I went ahead and stamped with the Baroque Motifs stamp

at first I did a blend of the so saffron and chocolate chip

 
I then krimped the flowers................

added a little edge

then I crimped

 

okay at his point I don't like what I have

so don't like it

hum???

I like this edge better 

but I am still not like over the top with it sooooooooooooooo

I am taking a break now

so it's 2:10 am and I am giving the cards a break I am going to build the last cabinet for my craft room

now for a hammer in my hands instead of stamp LOL

coming along very nicely want to see what it looks like?

 
I also added another row of shelves for my stamps.

My Renee and Woody put that one together for me on Saturday night and they put it up on top of the other one............... Good kid........ Uh? she could be doing worse things on a Saturday night eyh? he he :) I Love her!

now I have all my stamps re-organized included the new clear stamps - I sorted all the retired ones and they all aphabetized

and there we go all organized

I still have lot's to do but it can wait

off to finish my card

so I took out some Shimmer Paint..............

Nooooooooo REALLY I did! LOL

and a dabber

and I edged all my flowers

getting there uh?

after I edged I Crimped and assembled with the beautiful new brads that are in the

Stampin Up Occasions Mini Catalogue on Page 13!

Asembly time and I am almost done phew!

it is now 7:15pm and I have to admit I am a little tired lol :-)
