I wondering when the weekend starts he he :-) Don't feel like I had one this past weekend! he he :-)
oh well there's always the next one right that maybe I can take off and not work - yha think???
sooooooooooooooooo I did get up really really early Sunday morning - how early you ask?? try 2:15am!
I know crazy - but I really needed to ink up those new stamp sets and I had to go to work so...........
yhap I got to play a little
want to see what I did?????
I had alot of fun and decided that this week I would have theme and I may just do these on a regular bases??? What do you think of that - have an entire week dedicated to a technique or a style or theme?
anyways......... Just a thougth - would love to hear what you think?
I decided to try some Collage Stampin - my first card is not as collage as I wanted but you will see the other cards that I will share this week I did get better he he :-)
all right so I started with Because I care it's a new stamp set!
do I researched the look of this beautiful flower
cause I kinda suck at flowers he he
the background I created I used Francais
and Wheeled the other half with The Very Vintage Wheel
I also did alot ink
the very very background I also used another wheel, it's called
So Swirly which I think is retired now
I used Black Staz On to stamp the image from the Stamp Called
Because I care
so here is the background I created
I used my Very Vanilla trick that I showed you the other day
I Water coloured - I don't have my stamp pad for this beautiful New colour Called
Concord Crush yet - I do have the marker thouhg so that Is what I used
the center I used the new Daffohil Delight
and the leaves I did in the new Pear Pizzaz
can you tell I had fun playing with the colours he he
had a little visit with Mr. Big Shot
I used both The oval Scallop die
and the Ovals die
after the ovals were cut I distressed them
then I cut out all the layers
I used Glue dots to layer
I even distressed the ribbon he h
so here is my card with Alex's sketch
up close at the background
up close of the layers and the crystal effects that I put in the centers of the flowers
my ribbon upclose
I love the distressing

third I made a big error and did not notice it till I was naming my photos - so again I am sorry
I promise tomorrow will be better okay??
so I started with Melon Mambo, So Saffron and Soft Suede
and I really wanted to use my crimper since it had been a really long time
I also used Very Vanilla as my neutral
used my wheel "Very Vintage"
in the Occasions Mini Catalogue on Page 27 item 3 117693
inked up with Melon Mambo
crimped the strip
cutting and not liking this look at all
okay my blogging friends this just plainy sucks I am starting over sorry about this
My Second Attempt!
I am ready to make this happen the right way now folks
so I still used my Very Vintage wheel
this time I punched the edge first - this punch is one the fabulous items that you can get FREE
in the SALE-A-BRATION brochure
I know this is the very first time that Stampin Up has offered a punch in the Sale-A-Bration promotion - check it out it's on page 9!
then I crimped
okay this is good - the time is still good
I did a faux stitching on my ribbon - which I will do a tutorial on tomorrow for you, as this post is all ready getting real long
so then I used two stamps sets with my awesome clear blocks - I sure love these -
again all available in the new Occasions Mini Catalogue -
the blocks on are page 6 and 7!
I used Vintage Vogue stamp set on Page 26 as well as Well Scripted set on Page 19
I stamped in Melon mambo - I love the font don't you?
so super wonderful he he :) I know I get so excited I am a goof he he :)
I cut out the flower and then used my square punch for the greeting
then I punched with same square punch in soft suede and the melon mambo
phew I think I am actually going to make it this time
I am almost out of time at this point yhikes
out of time ghur! :(
I still had to add my brad with the crop a dile
I added a little bit of bling
and here we go 2 1/2 mins over - surprise surprise LOL :)
up close photo of my faux ribbon stitch -
it falls into the Late Night Stampers Ribbon challenge as well
