Tiny Tags thank you cards with some Neutral DSP Stampin Up!

good morning

It's a cool Tuesday Morning here!

so yesterday I share a pretty card with you from Wanda (and Renee and Kayla - but Wanda made it he he)

so I created 3 pretty thank you cards from that

I started with a few different sheets of DSP

I used the Neutral pack

and added layers

and then used my daisy die and cut out pretty white and real red flowers

to match the flowers remember?

and now for some ribbon treatment

voila my three thank you cards

each is a little different

this card has the white and grey taffetta ribbon and red button in the center

this one I sponged some of the flowers

used the real red and a white taffetta ribbon

and a white button in the center

and last but not least I used the basic grey button in the center

basic grey and real red taffeta ribbon

oh and I added some bling to all three cards

hope you like these

I had fun making them

I enjoy using a card and spinning off of it

hope you liked them as I much as I did

Stampin Up Countryside card

IT'S A COUNTRYSIDE BIRTHDAY CARD!

Good Morning y'all!

Sorry I am so far behind this morning

certainly cause I wasn't up early he he 2:45am!

but I was trying to get ready for my FIRST ever downline meeting (wish me luck he he)

anyways got a few card ready for my girls and worked my swap cards for the month!

then I started on my nephews birthday card!

I hope you like it!

so I took out the Crountryside Stamp set cause I had not had a chance to ink it up yet

FUN!

I always used Black Staz on when I am going to watercolour

I also used Watercolour paper

started colouring 

I love love love to colour

I used a tad of shimmer just in the highlight areas!

now for some layers

thought the new Stampin Up "NEWSPRINT" DSP would work well??

now for more layers

the base is Pacific Blue 

then a layer of Basic Black

Then my DSP

and some wripping

then I wanted to add Very Vanilla on top of the DSP

but it look BLAH

so I used one of my new stamps that I had not used!

now for a little tag

hum??

Good day

it's Monday! I cannot beleive that in a week it's convention!

holly cow were we busy this weekend

having said that I think all my thinking powers are gone

soooooooooooooo I hope you still like my card to day

it was hard going this morning as I was at work at 4:30am

okay here's my theme for the week

it's The Top Note

I will be posting only Wed. and Friday again this week

I promise to post all sorts of wonderful photos of Convention!

okay so I started with the top note die

and some textured card stock

then I used an embossing folder

then I did a little cutting

like this

I used black staz on to stamp the Because I care

flower

I stamped on shimmery white card stock

I coloured (with my pencils) it and blended

I used en francais for the background stamp here

almost done 

I put crystal effects in the center of the flowers

once that was try I added white shimmer

I made a few cute little tags as well!

aren't they just too cute!

voila here is my card

what do you think??

it's not the greatest card I have ever made in my life he he

oh well I still really like this stamp and enjoyed my time in my craft room

even if it was short lived :-)

Studio Stetches with my last wax paper resist

 
good day ya'll

it's Saturday!

I know it's suppose to be a day off rigth?? cause you all know that I was really looking forward to this weekend

okay well not quite!

oh but let me tell you that I am most thankful for the work and I feel so fortunate that I have received all these orders.......................... NO complaints here at all!

HAving said that however I will be working this weekend! We got another 40 banner order! I am honestly soooo thrilled that I just don't care that I have not had a day off since May 30th he he :-)

only thing is that I kinda  need a little fairy to come and work on convention stuff HEHE :-)

okay sorry for the blah blah....................

but it does bring me to the next thing on the agenda

I will be taking next  Wed. & Thursday off from my blog!

in addition to this crazyness I also have company coming this weekend and feel that it's important to spend time with them

I truly hope you all understand!

all right onto what I played with on this rainy Saturday morning!

I actually used a sketch challenge

I know it's been forever uh?

so take a look

 

 

It's from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge !

I decided to play with my Studio Sketches stamp set again

my colours

Cherry Cobbler

Daffodil Delight

Very vanilla and black

I used the new DSP called Newsprint

I also used the Wax Resist technique with a Glossy Cardstock

 

so I used a texture plate in my Mr. Big Shot with wax paper

 

this is the wax paper

and then I laid it on the glossy card stock and ironed it

 

then apply ink with brayer

I used Cherry Cobbler here

 

and I stamped my image (sorry I missed a few photos he he - brain was going to fast lol)

okay so I stamped and I water coloured then I did a lot of wripping

 

and a bunch of layers with the wonderful DSP

That Stampin Up has just introduced

I love it he he

not the card the DSP he he

 

and some ribbon

 

some brads which I coloured

 

a little tag for a tiny greeting

 

and I am done

not sure it's my favorite or anything but hey it's done

I do like the layers mind you

 

and I think the little tag is cute he he :-)

 

and the brads that I inked up with Cherry cobbler

one last photo and I am off to work!

ouh and yes I am going to still hold my class tomorrow

I would never want to let you all down

Elements of Style thank you Card and a bow tutorial

good morning

hope you are all having a super GREAT Saturday!

as you know I have been playing with new goodies from the Summer Mini Catalogue from Stampin Up!

well yesterday I got to play with The New

Elements of Style stamp set

ouh did I ever have fun

I used the challenge From Julie Called

Easy Breazy Kewl colour challenge

 

I started by stampin the image with Black staz on and then I coloured it on Water Colour Paper

after that I wripped all sides with my tearing ruler

my goal on this one was to make it look JUST a 

LITTLE vintage

so I did a little treatment that I have never done before

my layers are coming togehter now

I coloured my white ribbon to make pink pirouette

because I do not have a marker to use on this ribbon I used the shimmer spray

I spray the ribbon first

then I put reinker on the ribbon

after that I wiped it with a baby wipe

on the Melon Mambo I used my Stampin' Write marker like this

Don't Forget

To Wipe this ribbon at well with a baby wipe

if the baby wipe is a not too wet you will get bette reasults

okay now we have all our ribbons ready

I will start with the Pink Pirouette ribbon measure to

5 1/4'' total lenght

them you will run 

Adhesive at

2 3/4'' 

then take the left end bring to center and do the

same with the right end like this

 

so that is ribbon #1 the larger of the 3

on Black ribbon I did the same thing

however that Ribbon will be Cut to

4 1/2''

and you will put your adhesive at 2 1/4''

so it will look like this

now onto the last ribbon the melon mambo

so your last piece of ribbon you will measure at 

3 1/2''

your center will be at

1 3/4''

so our ribbon will look like this now

now you will take a brad and   

widen it as much as you can

cause you have put it around all three ribbons that we just created

 
Wrap your brad around ALL three bows

you will have to kind squeeze the bows a little

the tighter you make it the better your

end bow will look

----

now we need to punch a hole in the base ribbon

the one you are wrapping around the card

like this

then put your brad thru the hole

remembe that it will be around all three of your bows right??   

are you ready to see what it looks like?? he he

ofcourse you are!

and voila

do you like it??

I created some little tags I love these they are sooooooooooooo

there's been some hinting that he has been missed he he

you will get to have a little visit with him at the end of my post he he

aren't they addorable

I use the Tiny Tags stamp set and punch to create this

then I created some faux beads with Crystal Effects

then I coloured the little faux pear/button with my black stampin' write

and well there we go my blogging friends 

this is my card for today  
  just a few upclose photos for you

I also put some crystal effects in the center of some of the pretty flowers

I really like the little tag

 
and well there we have it!

now for a quick photo of Max

&then off to Cheer!

well after I be the hair dresser and make up artist that is he he

got to do Renee's hair and  makeup!

then I head out to go volunteer!

ahw 

he is so clean

I really thought he was Creamy Caramel before he went to see Ginger!

She does such a good job and she is just so kind to those pups

I just think the world of her!

yhum yhum 

he sure liked have some ice cream with his mama

I know my bad

but oh well he had a few yhums yhums and then he was done

Vintage Labels - Flap card Tutorial with Faux Metal

Good day y'all

I hope you having a good day so far! We are at Thursday Carey!!! he he :-)

so I had found three challenges that I wanted to do!

ouh yes so you guessed it I put them all together he he :-)

Oh and I added the Late night challenge

So that 4 challenges into one! yhahoooo that is so cool!

okay wait I better hold back the excitement, what if it don't work he he

sooooooooooooo here's the challenges

the first one I found was the Flap card (and I have tutorial for you)

then I had to find a colour challenge

Faux metal, and that I found a challenge for he he

Hand Stamped Sentiments

I will show you how I did this as well

I am going to show you the card cause otherwise it may not make much sense

I am keeping the faux metal part a surprise he he 

okay let's start with the colours (they are specific in this challenge )

decisions decisions

you would think this was going to be the easy part rigth LOL

okay I decided to use the Sweat pea designer paper   

so let me give you some measurements

 

I did the flap part with my circle cutter

ouh but you will see I kinda messed up!

 
I didn't make the circle big enough so I had to trim down my base card

 

sorry about that so now it's 4 3/4'' x 12'' 

same score lines

here is the base - folded

I then put a couple of little magnets

like this

 

so You all know how much I love to layer

because I have worked with magnets before I know that I can't over layer over that magnet

sooooooo I decided to do DSP  I used the Stampin Up Sweat Pea DSP

perfect colours uh?

I did layer the inside panel as the magnet would not be affected with this area

coming together nicely

I did a scalloped edge in old olive and so saffron

--------------

Faux Metal

you will need versa mark

Gold or Silver embossing powder

a stamp

and cardstock

I used Vintage Labels here

apply versa mark over the enitre area of your card stock

apply Embossing powder over the area

and heat

you can see the embossed area

now you need to do this

3 times

so versa mark again - embossing powder and heat

on the third heat this is what should happen

like this

you want it THICK!!!!

now while it's WET

you will

then you will remove it after a good minute

and there we have it Faux Metal

aint it just the coolest ever????

he he THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SUCCEEDDED

I had tried a long time ago and I was not pleased with it at all

I  am so happy

okay now to do a punch

too cool

okay let's finish this thing up okay?

no I need to cover up this magnet on the inside

so I used a piece of the DSP

and decorated the same way as the front of the card with a nice fancy border!

so now for some ribbon

doesnt that faux metal piece look awesome??

I did some eyelet in the cute little tags that I did

I used the same Faux Metal Technique and I used the Tiny Tags stamp set along with the cute little tag punch!

it's coming along but I just don't like how plain it looks

ouh yes some pretty satin ribbon should do the trick

 
I used sticky strip to adhere the little faux metal piece

that is the front piece - I really like it

I created some oval shapes for the border with my big shot and also 

for the inside 

this one is for you Roscoe's Mom he he  

and I created another little tag for the inside of the card

okay I think I am ready to show you the entire card now he he :)

that is the flap card closed with the Faux metal on the flap
