I attempted making a card for the LNS challenge to use only our flag colours

my countries flag is red and white for the Canadian Flag!

Want to see what happened??? LOL

 

I first started with Gretchen Weekend Sketch - I haven't done one of her challenges for a long time!

that part went really well!

then I chose my colours

he he not too hard

could not blend it well 

so I tried again

I got Black Craft ink on my  Shimmery white card stock

so I covered it up with some Bride card stock

ouh la la Bride Card Stock to the rescue!

and voila my card

I would like to attempt the watercolouring again

maybe next time I will go with watercolouring paper instead of shimmery white??

It's hard to keep to two colours for me

I embossed my greeting in Black

and well my friends

Diaper Fold with Sweetheart stamp

good morning my blogging friends

I am sorry this will be real quick and certainly not that good

but I promise to make up to you!

I am in a rush this morning I have to be on a job at 7:00am to install decals today!

so I am trying to hurry to post this it's now 4:19am! I created my card in two hours well it's pouch and card - silly me I thought I had a sketch to follow for LNS and I did that and messed up duh! I guess that is what I get for trying to hurry!

my two challenges are

well including the LNS that I messed up on LOL so I guess three then right

???

then I used the Project Tuesday challenge

which was real easy and simple!

Diaper Fold Card

okay so let's get started 

okay got my card stock

use a square piece of card stock of DSP

I used groom and mine was 12'' x 12''

I folded to create a triangle

this is the second fold

take your right corner and fold

now do the same with your left one

there we go

look how easy this is uh??

voila

now let's quickly finish up this little pouch

some so saffron and real red

now to make a cute little card to go into my pouch

so this is where I was confused 

I thought I had to use Mary Jo's sketch 

well as it turned out I was to use some of the colours that are retiring

duh

oh well better luck next time LOL

okay it's coming together  now

just a few more last min. details 

I have 5 min before I have to start getting ready for work

Messages for Mom using three challenges

Good day!

I did a card this morning that is not my usual clean line kinda a card

a bit out of my eliments so I really hope you don't mind....................

Cause honestly I am not sure if I like this card or not!!! HUM>?>

okay so I started with three challenges today

the first is the butterfly challenge over at Late Night Stampers

the second is Kewl colour challenge

and last but not least is the a sketch from Card Patterns

 

now let's get started!

okay so be kind, cause like I said............ WAY out of my comfort zone but I have to try something new sometimes right??

so here we go

 
and then I created a flower that I have never done before

kinda cool sort of another tutorial for you!

this is the flower I am going to show you how to make

pretty uh?

so we will start with our scallop circle punch

I used Bridesmaid card stock as well as Chocolate chip patterned paper

so you will be punching a total of ten of these

I did 4 in bridesmaid and 6 in the patterned paper

now we are going to crimple them

CRAZY lol

now we are going to uncrimple  (is that a word HE HE ) them   

now time to stack all of them

okay so I am going to poke a hole in the center to be able to put a brad in

I did my best to keep that hole in the center

insert brad

 
Almost done with my flower

I am just going to refold the flower from the center out

like this

 
so you do that each layer till you get to the bottom

and your flower will look like this!

 

okay now let's move on

oh I want to say that the look of my card is designed around this flower

I did some butterflies on my

BIG SHOT lol

now to get some card stock cut 

 

I thought I was going to use the bridesmaid card stock but I changed my mind

I also did a few test of the butterflies

I added Old Olive and Chocolate Chip satin ribbon

pretty

I took out my Tearing ruler

whow I haven't used that for a while

and maybe this is the reason that I am not super happy with my card???

I think I am way too used to the clean straight lines you know??

I watercoloured the flowers with my stamp pads and some shimmer paint

all right then I ruffed up some edges to go with my teared look then put the card together

With all my heart new little pizza box

Good Saturday morning!

I am running behind this morning!

I slept till 3:45am ghuhr that makes me mad! LOL - I wasted over an hour this morning - get this

~SLEEPING~

okay I will get over it he he :)
then my boys had to leave for work so had to help them!

Saturdays mean nothing to house full of self employed people LOL :)

soooooooooo Rex and Evan are off to work and as soon as I am done my post I too will be off to work.......

I actually really like working Saturdays - I know I am CRAZY he he

but it's quieter and I get more done! I am so super happy because work has picked up again and makes me feel so much better know that my desk is filled with orders!

okay sorry too much yhakking! Onto what I was doing this morning

I found this really cool colour challenge and I was excited cause it used our retired colours and I love love love love the Pink Piroutte.......

oh yha soooooooooo here's the challenge that I put to use

and then I just to used Tuesday Project for my thingy that I was going to make

I love their projects and they always have a tutorial with it as well - how wonderuf uh??

okay so I started with the colours above and did a lot of scoring to create my little pizza box

ouh just wait till you see it......... oh my goodness - it is super duper cute

and Carey guess what??? I used the BIG SHOT - just for you ofcourse LOL

so I cut my Soft Suede and did alot of scoring

aint it just the cutest little box ever???

okay now some cutting of my favorite colour

doing the sides of the box

ouh layers - I know I tend to never do enough layers LOL

CRAZY THAT's ME LOL

 

and I did the same treatment on the inside

okay so now I wanted to do this beautiful punch corner and edge - but I had a bit of problems here's how it went down

I cut my first square to 3 3 1/6'' then used my NEW Corner punch

then I lined up the other punch to create the side scallop

and this is where I messed up cause it didn't line up so I do again with this new size

so I went with 3 5/16'' square and had a lot more success

okay now for some BIG SHOT action

so this new little die cut embossing heart template is in the 

Occasion Mini

adorable don't you think??
oh but wait I am not done with my Big Shot yet

now for the Heart die

this is bigger then the textured heart so it will border it perfect

oh then I used the new heart punch which is a little smaller

okay now let's do this thing lol

now I am going to use two of my favorite things

can you guess what they are going to be??

did you get it right

I used Crystal Effects and then shimmer paint

I did the first 3 layers with crystal effects and then added shimmer and then added crystal effects on top of that

doing some stampin now with 

I (Heart) Hearts stamp - I have the clear mounts in these

LOVEM!

okay now that I have punched those hearts out I will be doing the inside

are you ready to see this little pizza box??

and well there we have it my little Pizza Box

so on Tuesday I am going to do a tutorial on this but make the box big enough to fit in some cards

Sweetheart new stamp set - Valentine card

Good morning to you my blogging friends

I have a pretty different card to share with you today!

The colour combination was from a new challenge I found - take a look at this!

Cool uh??

then I took Gretchen's sketch

okay ready to start!

got my card stock ready

and my new "Sweatheart" Stamp set with the new Heart Treat Cups!

 

I am going to be using these in my

 

 next stamp call on

 Jan 31, 2010 @ 1:00pm, want to join us?

 

 

I used my heart punch to punch out the center after I stamped with pumpkin pie

 

how cute uh??

now for some candy

the little red hearts just wasnt cutting it he he :)

 

then I started creating the sketch - I used this fabulous punch

The Stampin Up Occasion Mini Catalogue is amazing this time around!

 

so now I am trying to decide what cardstock is going to go where???

I am in love with the new SWEET PEA Designer paper -

 I have never had so many choice!

and the best part - get this, they are 12'' x 12'' sheets

whow!

so now for some ribbon................

I started with Black satin ribbon and the pumpkin pie ribbon but.......

 

 
I didn't like - so decided to colour some white ribbon instead

with my stamp and write marker

 

okay well don't like that either

sooooooooo moving onto another ribbon

 

sooooooooooo decided to go with pumpkin pie marker

I coloured the white  satin ribbon

ouh and if you do this at home folks

 don't forget to wipe it down with a baby wipe after you are done colouring

 - this is the secret to having it blend well!

 

oh yha this is better

in between here I did emboss my white card stock!

 

now for buttons and or brads - I also stamped and punched my greeting!

 

now I am going to start assembling -

I really like all the edges that I punched

on the cup there is a sticky tape that you will pull off, so you can adhere it.

ouh but don't forget to put your candies in first lol :)
