Goooooodddddd morning friends
I know I am super sorry for my lack of posting lately
I am happy to report that I have visited my craft room often though in the last couple weeks
Which is fabulous right
We had a really nice class Sunday with both of my groups
I loved having the girls back
Ouh the food yhum yhum
My mom made delicious stuffed bread sandwiches and rice crispy squares and Kathy brought a dessert to die for
Call " heart attack in a bowl"
Sooooo gooooddd
Oh and yes I'll be sharing the recipe that she gave me
Ill be putting into an MDS
I also had woodys brother along with his fiancé and their precious little boy Rolande for supper. My mom also stayed to have Sunday dinner with us - thank you mom for your clean up help after class so much appreciated it!
I made Swiss steak dumplings, mashed potatoes and glazed pistachio carrots
Soooo nice to enjoy Sunday dinner in our kitchen that has a nice tiled floor and a beautiful table
So very blessed and really enjoying the renos
This week has been a good crazy busy week
I am very very grateful to have a ton of work
We have installs of all sorts
It's fabulous
Boys have good steady work as well can't ask for more i can only be very very thankful! Deep happy breath ( thanks yoga for teaching me this)

The first three photos I am sharing is how my girls at work started their Monday
I put a cute little tag on their gift cards
Just to say happy Monday and I appreciate you
The other two photos are Charlie and Max
The Charlie photo was taken on our back deck last week when we had some beautiful hot weather
Yesterday we sure did appreciate that hot weather - cause yes it was -27c
And with windchill it was -40c
Buhr baby it was cooolllldddd
I made homemade soup for the girls at work to keep us all warm and cozy lol

Recipe still no creation in my Digital Studio - day 2 of swap cards

phew IT'S FRIDAY

I cannot tell you how happy I am to get to Friday of this week

It's been certainly an extra long week!

With my own little mental pep ralley I made it yhippy

and although I have been up since 1:55am I am sadly not going to be in my craft room long

going to post this for you my friends and then getting ready to go to work

I have to make sure I am on a ladder by 1:00pm today to do two trailers on site

I love installs and they always make me feel productive and proud when I leave

so this will be a nice start to my weekend

so I want to share two more swap cards

these two are from Robbie and Cynthia

I really love that little wheel that Robbie used - and the ribbon on Cynthia cards just sets the card

I had all good intentions of getting it done for you honest

but my day started yesterday at 5:00am in my office and I left at 5:15pm

I was done had to make super for a clan of 8

clean up and a some downtime

that my brain and body really needed!

to be back at it today- chin up shoulders back smile - Happy thoughts

Saturday prepping for classes and making swap cards - plus my surprise blog candy

 
hello everyone

okay so I am running behind this morning

I did not get up until 3;45 am  ghuhr - I think the two or three nights this past week that I only slept a couple of hours is catching up to this old bird lol

I tried to do this post on my blog since 5ish but I am having some internet issues

anyways I am trying this agin

sooooooo I want to share what I am working on for my swap cards

with my new little swap team

okay friends

soooooooooooo it's been a really really busy week both with work and personal stuff

I am working really hard at getting the house ready to list

so lot's of changes are happening

the only thing is that I am so picky and pay way too much attentiont to details he he

oh well such is life right I want it to be perfect before we list this place

okay some changes

well a few weekends ago my dryer caught on fire

oh I know fun stuff

ofcourse these things always happen when Rex, Evan and Tyler are out of town

anyways so we replaced the washer and dryer

ouh yes RED I love'm

after all RED is my favorite colour of all times!

they work beautifully (he he they just look good lol)

my other washer had been leaking for a year

and yes  my family (I have been helping my little chikie alot with school - whow she is doing awesome - I promise to share some of the projects with you she is doing real soon)

Whacky Wednesday Post with homemade beads

Good day! Oh my I can't beleive that we are at mid week all ready! Holly cow uh?

Aren't you happy Carey??? It's Wed. my friend!

I am calling this post Whacky cause it's different lol

the first thing I am going to share is the tutorial for the beads that I made for my Asian Inspired book! Then I am going to share all wonderful swaps that I received from our little swap team! Last but not least we will chat a bit more about our design team call!

let's card started with these beautiful beads

it's funny you know, cause I thinking about using paper to make beads I thought whow there is a original idea - yha not so much he he - It seems that I am not so brilliant LOL
it's been around for a long he he  - so I did research it a bit more and decided that I liked what I seen, and that I would expand on it and create my beads with

ALL STAMPIN UP! Products

so here's what I did!

I started with some cardstock

this piece is a piece of scrap from my background that I created for my book and matching card!

then wen I researched the beads on Google I found some cool paper cuts to create the different shape of beads - take a look at this

how impressive is that!??
ouhwhy then I was off like a heard of turtles 

oops sorry got to keep it down LOL I will wake up the family lol 

fun fun fun

supplies you will need

a knife

a Glue stick

a Paint brush

a shish a kabob stick and srap paper

so I cut my paper into the shapes that I pasted above - it was fun cause the pieces of red had a stamp on it & they are turned out so good

I also took a black piece of card stock and added gold scribble and that turned out perfect as well

cool uh? 

here my card stock is cut to shape

keep a little part at the widest part with NO GLUE
so it won't stick on your stick when you roll it okay? 

then you will roll onto your stick

to make it easier to roll I actually broke the fibers of my paper a bit by rolling it before I glue it!

then I put a BIG GOB of Crystal Effects he he

I rolled my bead thrue the crystal effects and if I missed any spots I used an old paint brush

I put my Crystal effects on a piece of plastic

 On my second attempt I found it easier to use the wooden stick

the wire was just too bendy

this is the piece of black texture paper that I scribbled on!

I wanta make more beads now LOL

once they were completely covered I transfered them to the little wire and I let them dry

pretty uh?

they are awesome beads don' t you think?

and how easy???

I trimmed a few just to make them look a little better

like this

and it finished the ends really nicely!

and Voila!
