this is an up right view of my card - I did all the little dots with Crystal Effects and then did about two or three coats of Shimmery paint on each dot.

Liane's Last Blog :(

Well this is it! My last blog post! Isn't that sad?  Well not so sad I want to start my own blog...but still sad!

Carole'Anne will be home later tonight!

So my last blog will be Mojo 109!

 First challenge, picking the paper.  That choiced is slimmed down for me by the need to keep to current Stampin Up papers.  So todays choice Thoroughly Modern DSP with Bermuda Bay and Rose Red.  Next step, stamp choice.  Again, I have limited choices (I do own hundreds of stamps, not all are current), so today I will use the stamp I stole from Carole'Annes craft room.  I might as well use it before I need to return it tomorrow.

Who else, besides me, LOVES having In Colours in Stampin' Write?

 Love it! Love it! Love it!

Now if I can just get them to make brads in "In Colours" I would be a happy woman!

Life is just better with bling!

 

Ok, here I am trying to deside what order I want to put my layers under my "Happy Holiday" NOW would have been a good time to notice that I stamped it on Vanilla, but no, I waiting until it was mounted. In fact, I actually photographed my card and everything before I noticed I goofed!

Liane's 10 min Card

Good Morning fellow bloggers!

It's me, Liane again here to do Carole'Anne and Sandi's 10 min Challenge card! Here is a great picturee of my timer, not such a great picture of the time, but I assure you it says 10 min!

Ok, I had to pick a stamp set for this card.  I knew what stamp set I wanted to use, but I didn't own it. Then I remembered my wonderful bestest friend owned this sent and she is conveniently in Greece!  So I put on my spy gear and broke into her craft room, DON'T TELL her!

Ok I am not as evil as you think, I did mention to her that something like this might happen.  I like to confess to my crimes before they happen!

My plan was to use my Stampin writers to colour the stamp, do a little huffin' and stamp.  I started, then I said "what are you thinking woman, 10 Min card you nut!" so instead I inked the stamp in razzleberry and used my blender pen to remove the ink from the stops I wanted a different colour. It still took time, but way less time then gently colouring it.  I would have prefered to colour it with a mark, as the colours are more crisp.

So here is my 10 min card. Ok I confess it was a little over 10 min.  I should have waited to make the cards AFTER I put my 4 kids on the bus.  I had to answer a lot of questions like.....why do you have a timer......why are you colouring that stamp......why are you in your house coat.....why is your hair standing up like that....did you see a ghost mom.... you know things like that.  I am sure if I had did this card alone I would have made it in ten min!

I think the card is missing something in that bottom right corner, but I couldn't find "words" that were small enough and went with the stamp to fit in that corner.  So I went with some BLING, I still feel it is missing something but I do love the added rhinestones to the tree, I am not sure if the picture shows them.

Paper used was Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, and Cottage Wall DSP

Now I am off to get dressed (I gave myself the day off, that will teach Carole'Anne to leave ME in charge of the office! ha ha ha<--that is an evil laugh)  I am off to the MALL to finish off my Christmas shopping!  I know I know it is early, but I have an allergy to malls, and I am scared to be in them around Christmas so I go early. Since we have the biggest Mall in the world (West Edmonton Mall) it gets extra insane at Cristmas time! So wish me luck and lets hope I don't get brought home in a straight jacket....again!

let me show you what i am working on!

I am trying to figure out what the heck I am going to make in 10 min for our Thursday 10 min card Challenge!

Funny really to take 2 to 3 hours to design a 10 min card!

So the theme is Cutsy!

I am only giving you a sneak peak lol

then I am going to show you my swap cards that are do today that I am finishing!

now for some photos of my swaps - this card I did for the Mojo Monday last week, but I did change it up a bit for this swap

changes I did

1. Used Bridesmaid paper instead of bride

2. could only use 1 felt snow flake - I didnt have enought of the little ones!

3. I took one layer off of the tag!

4. The major change would be how I highlighted the center of the flowers

here's the details.

so after I stamped, I used Crystal Effects

Let this dry.........

then I went back and used stylus again, but this time I used th All-purpose ink Frost White right over top of my Crystal Effects Dabs..............

this created a pearl like look!

this is a great to create all Stampin Up little pearl.............

Thursday 10 min Challenge with Sandi MacIver

Good morning!

soooooooooo I started this post at 5:05am! it is now 7:ooam, and I have just lost my entire post, which was done I was just going to hit "publish"!

So let me start over!

First I want to introduce Sandi MacIver

Sandi is the my blogging friend that started me on this Blog Addiction!

So Sandi and I decided that we would challenge each other to make a card in 10 min.

Sounds easy right?

Wel maybe if you are aren't Carole'Anne or Sandi, who take 4 hours per card!

Sooooooo............ here we go!

back to my card

I started in my carft room with this 1o min card with Real Red, and Christmas cocoa paper

Then I got thinking that I wanted to do two cards

one will be 10 mins and the other is going to be a "Stepping it up" version of this 10 min card

Then I stamped my 10 min card with a SINGLE colour!

I know can you beleive it??

now to put this together

Good Tuesday morning! I just finished my Mojo Monday Card

 

This sketch was fabulous, I really enjoyed doing this!

Okay, so here we go!

OKay so my first thought of this sketch was that I was going to keep it to Red and White.

Cause I got new toys yesterday - Red textured paper and all!

 

OH My I tried

well let's see if I was able to keep it simple! LOL :)

 I didnt really want to stamp this stamp all one colour. there goes that thought of red and white! Oh my I am silly! LOL :)

 I really wanted the flowers to be red and the leaves green.  So I painfully coloured them in.  Took a few shot at it.  I know the perfectionist in me!

I don't know how I got it there or how to get it out, everytime I try, it crashes.

so this is the tree I chose

look at these beautiful felt snow flakes!!!

trying to decided on the tag now!

I really wanted to stamp on this beautiful Bride paper, but it is not as strong of an image

so I decided to emboss it, I stamped with craft ink and then used clear embossing powder

that worked really nice!

oops here I thought I was done

I forgot the ribbon...............

had to add a little jewel in the center of the two snowflakes
