Scrapbook page for Stamp-a-holics challenge I used a photo of Shelli and I

so as you all know I am not much of a scrapbooker he he - but I had something special to do this time it's was a photo taken at Stampin Up Leadership!

it's easy challenge this time

it's called LOVE

so you create a page with the them love

I decided to do the Stampin Up Leadership

as you know it was my first time and I totally loved it!

so take a look what I did!

 
I created this in My digital studio

it took me 5 min no kidding

so I still had lot's of time to make this page even better

 
I started with layers

I used confetti white and basic gray

 
now for some ribbon and seam binding

I am also using some beautiful flowers

they are from the new Mini Occasions Stampin Up Catalogue

I used the rose red ones and they are on page 15o fun

 
now to create a flower

cool thing

my next tutorial will be on

FLOWERS

all sorts

including fabric

that will be available on the 31st of January!

Baroque Motifs -Stamp-a-holics 30 min scrapbook page challenge

Presto DSP was my incentive to create this wonderful page that Becky created for us!

you will be so proud of me cause I did it!- in the right time about! I am so happy!

so I started with the only photos that I had - that would be small enough LOL

 
as you can tell I decided to go with an antique look

these photos are my parents!

 
so the first thing I did with this challenge is that I got my square punches

 
I punched out all three photos

 
then I took some Presto DSP

and I sponged three colours

More Mustard

Soft Suede

and Basic Grey

 
now for a little trick of the trade LOL
I used the 1 3/8'' sqaure punch but I left a little edge on the left side and the bottom

so that it would make the square a little bigger

then I punched another square the correct way and look at this

 
you see how cool that is

now I got three layers out of two punches!

 
how awesome am I doing LOL
 
I love using these mini glue dots for little pieces like this

it's fast and it works soooo well!

I was thinking of brads but I changed my mind

 
I coloured a ribbon

tried both soft suede and more mustard

I prefered the more mustard

 
I used pearls

and I am  thrilled that I did this in less then 30 min!

oh  yes we have changed our times of our challenge

it will be 15 min for cards

30 for a scrapbook page

and 45 min for a 3D items

 
up closen at the pearls

I also used baroque motifs to stamp

 
the little tag greeting

I used soft suede to stamp here

and well there we have it

what do you think

You all know by know that scrapbookin is not my strong suite LOL

But I love using that DSP Presto that Stampin Up now has

it's an easy way to make a beautiful page in now time

I am sad to have to tell you that Sandi will no longer be part of our Stampaholics design team

I knoooooooowwwwwwww

but you know what she has big goals which I so admire her determination and I know for a fact that she will succeed - cause you all know that I think the world of my sis

and I miss her and so will our team - but I do look forward to seeing her play along when time permits

next week things will be a bit different

we will have a BIG announcement to make and show you something fun and NEW!

I can't wait to show you all what we have been doing the behind the scenes!

so I don't forget that you can play along with us

good day y'all!

I hope you all have  a SUPER wonderful Week!

I am so happy it's Friday and I am so blessed to have had a GREAT week at work!

Today we have a really neat sketch for the 10 min challenge well this is actually a 20 min challenge LOL
 
so I decided since I have been at work since 1:40am - I know CRAZY but I had to do some work

for my husband before he had to leave for work - oh yes he told me at 8:45pm last night

and to tell you the truth I just was not going back to my office at that time

soooooooooo Yhap got my butt out of bed so I could come to work

and I decided that I would then do my scrapbook page on my MDS!

I chose three photos from the

Stampin Up convention!

 

I am really sorry that his going to be a boring post

But you know that Scrapbooking is hard for me right lol

so all things considering this is good for me lol!

 
so to make up for the lame lame post

Scrapbook page for the Stampaholic!

 

hello everyone

I am so sorry that I am just posting today!

I am have been really slacking this week - well for my blog anyways

certainly not for the rest of my life that is for sure he he :-)

so I did this little project on Wed. I did it for my little chikie's birthday!

and it worked for the Stampaholics sketch I know I am so lame uh?

okay so here is the fabulous sketch that we had to work with!

okay so here's what I did!

now I do have to say that I turned into a huge Easel Card after my time

and I do not have the exact time onto how long it took me!

sorry 

I need to get a new Madame Vilaine as she is going on a trip this weekend!

She gets to hook up with Mr. Nasty! :-)

 
so I started with some Presto DSP

I love this DSP!

I used Old Olive and Marine Mist!

I also made little film strips 

cute uh?

k let's see how this is coming together!

pretty cute uh?

then I put some pretty butterflies

embossed on velum

and then some Big Shot action!

it's going to be so special for my special daughters birthday!

The greeting is so cute!

so at this point I was like at 25 min

then I decided to put this wonderful page onto a very very

LARGE easel card HE HE :-)

I did some recycling

this is the backpiece to the Presto DSP

it's really nice and rigid

I covered it completly and created it into the large easel!

kinda a cool idea don't you think??

I did three litle ribbons and I coloured one of them to match the Certainly Celery Card stock!

I also used some Filbree brads I think that is correct wording right??

It's the 20 min scrapbook page challenge

 
good day!

ouh yes my friends we made it to Friday!

happy I am I tell you he he :-)

today for our StampAholic challenge we have a 20  min Scrapbook page!

The design was created by Marisol! Whow did she do a GREAT job!

Wish me luck in doing the sketch justice

as you all know by now I suck at scrapbooking he he

sooooooooooo here is the sketch

 

so when I was playing around with my MDS on Wed. I decided to use it to get started on this sketch

that took me a little over 6 min

 

so my photos are in place and now I have to work this out

 

so I wanted to use the only little piece of Daffodil Delight I had

I just really hope that my order comes today fingers & toes crossed okay?

a little ROsA moment lol

okay so a little while ago I discovered something neat

if you you start with craft very vanilly on a sponge and do circular motions on your card stock

and then add your other inks it blends so well

take a look

 

so sponge in some very vanilla and apply to your cardstock

 

then add some coloured ink and shimmer

I used soft suede

make sure you blend well on your working surface before you go on your cardstock

 

looking gooooooooooddddddddddddd he he

 

i's coming along 

I also sponged the corners 

I did some ribbon

 

now to embellish and rest assured that it won't be these lol

 

okay so I changing my mind he he

I also cut out a few of the flowers from my second print that I had

I like the look don't you

not saying that I like MY scrapbook page

but hey I try he he

 

and well here we go

I know not the best scrapbook ever

but can I get an A for Effort lol

notice how I don't have a photo of Madame Vilaine at the end

okay I think Madame Vilaine has fallen ill

I need to take her to the doctor today

it seems that she stopped working - I just hope she survives he he

I will keep you posted!

so really do not know how long this page took me

I assure you it was longer then 20 min he he

Vintage Ornament Stencil turns into a Scrapbook page

Gooooooooooooooddddddddddddd Friday Morning to you!

oh yes it's Friday!

That means two things

1 it's end of the week!

yhe Carey we made it he he :-)

and 2

Sandi and I have our 10 min challenge today!

ouh but wait we have a scrapbook page!

sooooooooo that means we have 20 min!

yhe for us!

soooooooooooo today I played a bit more with some stencils

all inspired by my sis!

Cause Sandi has played alot with these and I am just happy to get to do the same!

can you tell I look up to my hero a little!

so, we have a colour challenge!

and the this colour challenge is inspired by all the changes that Stampin Up is about to  make with their colours!

I will be posting some info for y'all on Sunday!

for today let's focus on the challenge!

I will also chat a little about the design team announcement that will happen tomorrow!

all these colours are coming back!

I created this on my MDS that Stampin Up introduced last fall 

it's a digital program and I sure like playing with it!

so I chose Vintage Ornament Stencil with some photos from Jamaica!

I used all three colours in my stencil

I also used the sponges instead of the dabbers

I found that I was going thru way too many dabbers

I know I am cheap uh?? lol

after this I matted everything

looks good uh?

look like the time is 8 min - weird it!

then I was inspired by my friends card!

I am going to be showing several beautiful cards on Sunday that I have received

they are not all Stampin Up - but I want to share with with you

a have a card from my mom (she made me a thank you card so adorable)

a card from my sis - wait till you see this card - OH MY it's amazing - I have a card from my friend Penny - and this is where the bead idea came from

I chose the Soft Suede ribbon - solid side

I put some of my tombo multi purpose glue on a scrap peice of cardstock and used my

stylus to apply to the areas I wanted to add my beads

okay 

guess what I did!

oh but wait just had to show you my big mess

I dumped it real quick off my page and so I would be done in time

ouh yes I did have a lot of mircro beads everywhere after LOL
oh well the fun of playing in the morning!

okay now I show you how it turned out okay?

I am actually pleased with myself on this one

you got to remember that scrapbooking is not my expertise lol

Stencilling a scrapbook page for the 20 min challenge

good Day y'all

YHAHOOOOOOOOOOOO it's Friday! :-)

guess what that means???

ouh yes Sandi and I have a GREAT Challenge for you today!

sooooooo remember a little while back we spoke about doing a scrapbook page  once a month

well today is the once of a month - Sandi and I have agreed that 10 min is just not long enough for a scrapbook page

We decided that we would give each other 20 min - I know how cool is that 20 min for YOU to create a page in!!!

So today I have created a colour challenge and I used the MDS from Stampin Up, I love that new Digital program, it's so awesome

now you know the drill I am sure by now but just in case you don't I will give you a quick run down......

so you check out what Madame Vilaine and I are up to, then I link Sandi's Blog at the end of my post(by the way don't knowif you know but Sandi is my hero, and I will actually get to meet my hero at Convention - I am super duper pumped about it)

I know that you will just be in ahw over what Sandi & Mr. Nasty, will be creating cause honestly she is the most talented creative stamper around! well you will see when you go over and visit my sis! (he he were not real sisters, we just kinda of adopted each other, and I have another adopted sister, her name is Krista, I am so lucky to have adopted siblings, cause since the loss of my baby brother 10 years ago I have no sibblings......................)

sooooooooooo wait till you see how beautifully dressed up Madame Vilaine is today, whowzers he he :-)

so here is our colour challenge!

Great colours don't you think

so for my choice of colour I chose Certainly Celery

so I used something that I have played around very much with 

they are called the Decor Stencils

they are not in the regular Stampin Up Idea Book 

they are in The Decor Elements mini

today I used the two step stencil called 

Adornment Shelly Signature collection

ouh but wait........................... I just have to share how pretty

Madame Vilaine is!

Madame Vilaine is very excited to be able to say hello to Mr. Nasty she really missed him last week.

oh goodness she is sooooooooooo funny!

okay enough fooling around here we go, let's get this started Madame Vilaine!

so I am ready - got my stencil, my inks, my dabbers, dotto, colour challenge and ofcourse Madame Vilaine, he he

 

I cut my recipe & card stock

all cardstock is ready now I get to play

I used doto to make sure my stencil would not move

 
now I am goind to add colours with my dabbers

I did mix  a little shimmer in the lids of my stamps pads

I just find that the ink spreads easier with the shimmer paint mixed in!

 

I started with the Elegatn eggplant and so far I am really proud of Madame Vilaine

Then I used Night of Navy

aint it just so pretty I just love that it's adding dimension

and looke at the time yhahoooooooooo this is so GREAT

I am just so happy he he :)

oops sorry take a deep breath Carole'Anne Getting ahead of myself 

  ouh la la

now for some Certainly celery

I wonder how Eggplants and Celery would go together LOL

I am almost done

this is where we add step two of the stencil

it's just another stencil that you overlay like this

I did night of navy in this part

and look at the time and I am doing good

now I remove both stencils and I used the eraser

this little eraser is on page 192 

it's called adhesive remover and honestly I can't imagine not having this little tool

and you know what It's so CHEAP

anyways I uses it to remove the doto

the Certainly Satin Ribbon really is perfect!

I am so excited he he :-) I usually have such a hard time with these challenges, 

but I am so happy that Madame Vilaine and I worked as a team today

Must be the influence of Mr. Nasty HE HE

I love these Brads they are just perfect for this colour combonation

and for the LNS Challenge ofcourse lol

 

and voila the only thing left is to put a glue dot on my bow

Madame Vilaine you did so well and I will let you chit chat with Mr. Nasty again next week, and we shall see if he has made travel plans he he :)

Good morning to all my wonderful Blogging Friends!

Today is Wed. and we usually have a recipe on this day

Well this week is sort of messed up for me, have lot's of ups and downs, and I have to say sorry, no recipe today!

However I do have a Scrapbooking page that I did for the Stampin Connect Scrapbook sketch!

Sooooooooo I am not letting you down completly he he:)

I would not say that this is my BEST work by all means - but none the less I did it!

The sketch was totally amazing and a GREAT challenge for me who has only done 6 -pages!

so that is it for my Birthday Greetings!

here's what happened in my craft room yesterday (Yhap working on my little swaps today for the Swap Team that I am on)

look at this amazing sketch

I was having a difficult time coming up with photos that I thought would work well

soooooooooo I pulled out a bunch of photos that I have taken of flowers

I know can you beleive that I took these photos!

It's all the camera - trust me he he :)

 
the first thing I did was create some circles with

Mr. Big Shot

see Carey AKA: Roscoe's mom, I didn't forget (make sure that Roscoe has a GREAT DAY) he he:)

 I worked on different sizes

then I went over my second favorite tool

my Cirlce cutter to make matts for these beautiful photos

I created  black and Garden Green Matts

I know Garden Green uh?

not a colour that I gravitate towards

but you know it looks pretty good on this page, take a look

I used Bride DSP here again - sorry two days in a row uh?

the one ready I used it,was that I jut could not find something that would compliment the flowers without taking over and it seemed that nothing stamped would work on this page.........

so I went with The Bride DSP - and it's perfect for the Late Night Stampers Challenge as well

So my colours are

Basic Black

Gardent Green

White (Bride Designer paper)

I used my big Shot for the leaves

I die cut them in the Garden Green as well as the Basic Black

the one label is also die cut

the rest of the tags are all punched with our amazing Stampin Up Punches

oh and I wanted to mention that all these photos were taken right here on our acreage in our yard

kinda cool uh?

I did  some journaling with my beautiful printing

yha right uh? LOL

too funny

okay are you ready????

I added a bit of bling as well I really wanted to pull in  a little purple

so the little brads that Stampin Up have

they are called

Rhinestone Brads

on Page 179! - were just perfect for this page  

I also used a couple of white handmade crocheted flowers

these are also Stampin Up

they are in the idea book on page 180

I stuck black buttons in the middle!

I have a few photos up close for y'all

pretty uh?

The die cut leaves worked out real nice on this page

the two layers of tags added interest as well!

Good Mornin

So on this Tuesday Mornin

Y'all have to forgive me for the post that I am about to post here today!

I am totally dissapointed with both of projects today

the first one is that very very hard Soft Subtle only challenge from Late Night Stampers

I combined with The Stampin Connect Card Sketch

I guess I am just way way to far out of my comfort zone on this one

So I am totally sorry!

the second is another scrapbooking page

here I thought things were coming together with my scrapbooking

okay well not so much today

so please be kind he he :)

ain't because I didn't try

cause I have been hard at it since 2:20am

but you know what I am going to try and blow your socks off with my next card

DEAL?? LOL
okay let me know show you a little of bit of my work

it won't be a long post I promise he he :)

I started with the sketch from Stampin Connect and chose a new stamp set that I got FREE

with The Sale-a-Bration promotion

its called Happy Together

I embossed the little chicks on Barely Banana

I then cut them out

I tried all my circle punches he he

went with my trusty Circle cutter

man I love this tool I can't imagine not having it,

kinda like The Big Shot 

yha know????

okay where am I now??? Blah Blah sorry

It's the no neutrals that is killing me here

cause I would love to water colour something in these wonderful colours!

okay so when I did the corner punch and the edge one it did not line up 

PERFECT

so I still really wanted to keep it

I am going fix it without redoing it heehee 

okay so I had to cover up some mistakes lol

so this is the Stampin Connect SC Scrapbook Sketch

I used photos of our beloved animals

 

oops - please tilt head side ways LOL

I started with some photos

then created a some cicles with my circle cutter

then I started doing the cardstock layers

These are more the colours that I gravitate to

ouh and I was able to put WHITE YHAHOOOOO

so my colours I love them

now for the stamp

ouh and I got this STAMP

as well can you beleive all the wonderful stamps that they have FREE in the back of that little SaleBration Catalogue

I am so happy that Stampin Up did that
