I used 4 colours on this card

Cajun Craze

& Red Riding Hood

I started with a white base though

 
this was my first thought

and that did not work out so good

so another idea!

 
I decided that I wanted the Presto DSP to be bigger

 
I like this

it's so pretty

 
I cut my large scallop square on white Cardstock and sponged it

 
now for deep thinking LOL

 
then I used the Daisy die and my BIG SHOT!

and created a flower

instead of the scallop punch

would you beleive that I did not stamp anything on this card

I just did not want to cover up the pretty DSP

Evan's Triangular photo Box is complete

okay I am done!

yhahoooooooooo

only took me 4 days he he

well it's not so much the actual box but the template and the fact that I invented it the shape

sooooooooooo that is what took me so long

I also had to make sure that the triangular lid fit on perfect

after creating the template (and changing it a million times hehe)

I cut out all the photos that I wanted to use

I used photos from Kindergarten to now for Evan

 
I used the Presto DSP as I mentioned yesterday

I also used my Big shot for the letters and used my Cog punch for the gears

then I went ahead and stamped some words

 
I am almost ready to adhere the layers together

 
it's almost done now

all my photos are done

 
and voila!

after this I personalized it with some journaling on each panel

Good day

I am sorry this is coming to you so late and that I did not post this weekend!

What a crazy busy weekend and I did alot of CLEANING out of storage spaces - yhap needed more room for my Stampin Up! he he!

It was also my son's 20th Birthday this weekend - so we did a little celebrating!

first I want to thank you all who voted for me

what did I do this weekend that was Stampin Up!

Well I invented a new box!

it's a triangular box!

It's for Evan's Birthday

I have not mastered the template yet!

but it's coming along very beautifully!

I had some fun with my cog punch he he

 

I did all the outside panels with my Presto DSP

sponged the DSP

 
I also sprintzed the DSP and it just added a bit more details

I used my Big Shot for the letters

I used our new Sticky sheets when I put the cardstock thru my big shot

so I did not have to adhere the letters

Way way tooooo cool

so that is what I am inventing

hello everyone

I am so sorry that I am just posting today!

I am have been really slacking this week - well for my blog anyways

certainly not for the rest of my life that is for sure he he :-)

so I did this little project on Wed. I did it for my little chikie's birthday!

and it worked for the Stampaholics sketch I know I am so lame uh?

okay so here's what I did!

now I do have to say that I turned into a huge Easel Card after my time

and I do not have the exact time onto how long it took me!

I need to get a new Madame Vilaine as she is going on a trip this weekend!

She gets to hook up with Mr. Nasty! :-)

 
so I started with some Presto DSP

I love this DSP!

I used Old Olive and Marine Mist!

I also made little film strips 

cute uh?

k let's see how this is coming together!

then I put some pretty butterflies

embossed on velum

and then some Big Shot action!

it's going to be so special for my special daughters birthday!

The greeting is so cute!

so at this point I was like at 25 min

then I decided to put this wonderful page onto a very very

LARGE easel card HE HE :-)

I did some recycling

this is the backpiece to the Presto DSP

it's really nice and rigid

I covered it completly and created it into the large easel!

kinda a cool idea don't you think??

I did three litle ribbons and I coloured one of them to match the Certainly Celery Card stock!

I also used some Filbree brads I think that is correct wording right??

Presto DSP with Because I care greeting

good morning to y'all

hope you have a wonderful restful weekend!

soooooooooooo this week will be a lot different!

first I have some very special company visiting from Terrace BC! so we will try to get as much visiting in as we can although of course I have to work (boy my job gets in the way uh? wish my boss would give me time off LOL oh wait thats me he he )

having said that I will not blogging on Wed or Thursday!

I hope you all understand!

okay so down to business here!

this weeks theme is going to be

Simple Cards (I know this is a stretch me lol)

but I thought since I don't have alot of time this week it would be a good week to have this theme

I also really have to work on swaps!

so this will get me thinking

SIMPLE

wish me luck I may need it

so it was my turn to create a sketch for Stampin connect

so this is what I did

 

for my background DSP I used Presto

 

and I took out my tag punch

 

did some sponging with Marine Mist and Tempting Turquoise then I darkened the edges with Not Quite Navy

 

then I punched my tag

I used another piece of the same DSP and 

I also scalloped my edge

I used not quite navy

 

I coloured the ribbon and then I debossed a ribbon as well

 

greeting and would you beleive I am almost done

 

after I assembled my tag I put some pretty little beeds on!

 

and there we go 

my first simple card for the week

what do you think?

Boring uh?

I know it's hard for me to do simple

but as you know by tnow I like a good challenge

and trust me that will be the entire week

first with my blog challenge

and for work

our office staff have Thursday And Friday off

so that leaves Renee and I!

We will have a busy week

althougth I will be taking Thursday off to spend with our visitors!

yhahooooooooooo I have not taken a day off since May 30th (do you think I can stay away from my office for entire day??)

Presto DSP & Full of Life for the StampAholics 10 min challenge

good day y'all

ouh la la it's Friday

can you beleive it??

you know what this means right??

Well ofcourse it's the StampAholics 10min challenge that is what it means, oh yes yes it also means the end of a work week

although it should of been a short work week for me it wasn't................. so yhap I have to admit I am

happy it's Friday

and we also are graced with Sis - she is Back! he he :-)

so on this fine Friday, it was Cynthia's turn to create a sketch

and whow she did such an amazing job!

so I thought I have been doing way too many flowers lately and wanted to now bore you all to death he he

sooooooooooooo went with the Clog Punch

yha know the new one in Stampin Up's Summer Mini

 

and some beautiful Presto DSP

my favorite right now he he 

 

my colours I chose are

Temtpting turquoise

old olive

and Basic Grey

 

I sponged

 

and dabbed and that took longer then I thought LOL
 

I used some shimmer spray

this one is the alcohol one

 

now for some clogging

 

now my clogs are punched

moving onto a greeting

I chose  stamp from the

Full of life stamp set  

I kinda think that Madame Vilaine will get bragging rights again today!

just a feeling I have

I can just see it now how she will be bragging about

this, she sure missed Mr. Nasty last week

I heard he went a trip and he was very very popular! he he

 

and my greeting in Basic Grey

 

now for some corner punching

 

now I have some layers done for my greeting and look at the time

I have to adhere everything

yhap Madame Vilaine won today

he he :-)

 

I am just about done

 

voila I am done

who would of thought that  simple card like this would of taken me 11:41 ghuhr

but it's the little details that may get over looked like

Pocket card double Carole'Anne's Template with Presto DSP

Good day!

I am sorry that I won't have a completed card for you today!

but hey it happens right

I had to be at work for 5:30am and I ran out of time - cause I got stuck! yhap I am stuck

sadly I won't be able to finish this card tomorrow cause you know what tomorrow is HE HE  - it's our 10 min challenge!

sooooooooooooooooooooo It will be Saturday my friends

but you know what you will get a good tutorial he he :-) that is good right - that is today my friendS!

so I created a new template for a pocket card and did two pockets

this is where I am stuck - just want to show you what it looks like first so as I am giving you directions it will make more sense for you!

 

so I started with two stamp sets for this

Charming and Tres Chic

 

this was my first thought!

 

I went here and hated it

so back to the drawing board

then went here and still did not like it!

yhap it's taken me since 2:30 am 

CRAZY he he :-)

so now let me show you what I did and I am still stuck lol

but here is the measurements that I used and it worked well!

 
the card base mearement is 3 7/8'' x 11 3/4''

Score at  6 1/8'' - 9 5/8'' and 10 3/4''

this will make our second pocket

the size is 3 7/8'' x 7 1/4''

score at 5 1/8'' and 6 1/4''

this is what we are getting

you will cut two accent pieces and texture them if you wish 

they measure 3 3/4'' x 1''

I also rounded all corners

 
 I changed the texture style after

I used the new Texture plate that is the new Stampin Up Summer Mini!

To adhere these I used Sticky Strip

ONLY ON THE OUTSIDE like this!

 
the reason I used sticky strip is that is stick much better

and these little pockets are functioning not just for looks so I want it to stick REAL GOOD!

 now for the two tags

I cut them to the sizes above

them I matted them with the new Stampin Up Presto DSP

I love that paper!

I am now going to add some ink to this

I just sponged some Going Grey along with Real Red

then Sprayed with shimmer spray

the spray I used today was the Alcohol one!

ouh la la this is pretty much the only part I can whow about he he

oh well tomorrow I will whow you with my project

any spare moment that I had in Toronto I was sketching new designs he he

so tomorrow will be better he he :-)

I will finish this card you will see

it's just not today he eh :-)

I added a couple of eyelets with some beautiful ribbon

so at this point I am thinking this is all good

well until I got to decorate the front ghurh!

   so this is where I am stuck

I don't really like the Eiffel Tower

I will think about it more and I will fix this up real pretty for y'all I promise

Presto DSP Vintage look

 
Hello y'all!

So today I am in Toronto! I still wanted to share a quick share with you!

I created this card for my Vintage Swap card!

I wanted to post it for you!

so my first step was to make circles with my fabulous Circle Cutter!

 

so here's what I did - I used a little piece of cardstock - wrippe- and then I  sponged

I used two colours 

More Mustard and Soft Suede!

On The Presto DSP that is now available in the NEW

Stampin Up Summer Mini!

 

now that is done I want to stamp this image

another new stamp from the Summer Mini

can you tell me what this stamp is???
I will be giving away a nice prize he he :-)

 

sooooooooooooo I used the Stampin Write Marker right on the stamp

(the mystery stamp he he :-) )

I used Elegant Egg plant at first to do the tips

then lavendar lace to blend

the stem I used soft suede

after this I redid it a few times to perfect it!

so then I was here and I was having a hard time to make the final decision

which colours now??

so did a lot of edge distressing

here I am......................

stuck again what do I do with this greeting

I am going to try all sorts of shapes and size of little tags and stuff for my greeting

ouh la la Thank you Mr. Big Shot

hum??? now what???

okay so I ended up with three different style

I am still not 100% which one it's going to be

 but I still wanted to share them with you 

cause on Monday I won't be posting a card cause I will be travelling home from Toronto!

so this is the one card I used a different die cut for the greeting

I used a Different background on this one - same Presto DSP

but it's pretty uh?

you will have to tell me which one appeals to you the most okay?

so one more photo for you y'all it's up close one and then I am done for the day

I will try to post photos on Sunday or Monday but it won't be of cards LOL

Presto DSP Photo Box for my Mom

Good day to you all!

today it's Tuesday - but for me it's Wed.  he he - you are say What is she talking about LOL??? Well I am leaving Friday for Toronto so I won't be at work so I have only have 3 days left of work! they will be busy days! Love that!

so yesterday I promised you that I would share the neatest box ever!

well first I want to say that this was NOT my design!

I owe it all to Monika Davis

on April 27th, 2010 Monika shared her cute little birdie box and I knew I just had to get permission to use this box! She has wonderful tutorial

so here's what I did with my box - I think I am going to show you what it looks like as a set first!

so now let me show you how this came about!

I have Monika's template and alot of photos!

then I moved to a great amount of presto DSP 

and I did cutting and scoring!

okay now for adding some colour to my beautiful Presto DSP! 

 I used Pink Pirouetter and Basic Gray

I put shimmer paint in as well!

this is what each DSP panel looked like in the end

I beleive there was about 13 or so of them! 

okay I have all my photos and pieces for the outside ready

I have a long ways to go yet

it's coming along 

I did a lof of layers

each photo was layers 3 time

the photo

Black and then Pink Pirouette

to adhere each layer in the center I used Sticky Strips

I adhere all three layers this way

each side has the DSP and a layer of Pink Pirouette

ouh and this photo is my fav, photo I just love my mom in this photo (she is the one on the left) and don'tyou just love the old 50's chevy truck!

he he I truly admire old vehicles can you tell!

my dad and I used to have car and truck context I learned lot's he he

now for the lid

then I used Mr. Big Shot

I created a rose with this die

it's new

in the Stampin Up Summer Mini!

all ready to assemble the rose 

I used several of this flower and I sponged each petal I also sprayed them with shimmer mist

I adhere each layer with my glue gun

my flower turned out so pretty

oh yha pretty stuff

beads and more beads he he

Almost done

voila the final product

I just want to try and share all the angles and up close photos with you

the lid with the flower and the bow

Well Scripted and Presto DSP

hell my stampin Friends!

it was really exciting for me to get 1000 pages views on Friday! I was blown away!

anyways today is the last day  - but I wanted to still post for YOU my loyal friends!

Sooooooooo on the weekend I spent alot of hours on my Mom's Mothers day Gift

cause I won't be here next weekend I really wanted to make sure she knew that I did not forget!

soooooooooooooo I got up at 2:30 am on Saturday to start on her special project

ouh but I am not show you that today LOL
because the Royal Blog Tour is one till tonight, I am going to hold off and show you the  special project tomorrow okay?

but today I am going to show you something NEW

this card uses two challenges the first is a sketch that I am involved in on Stampin Connect

anyways - the other challenge is from the LNS that I also design for!

so I used to major tools on my card

the first was Mr. Big Shot and my new Die from

The Stampin Up Summer Mini

Second was the Brand New Presto DSP

also fromt he same mini!

I used Pink Pirouette since it will soon be available in the new catalogue yhe!

and Basic Grey Both colours were mixed with

come on you know?!!!!

After I die cut my flowers (this one is from the Blossom Party Die 

That is on Page 202 of the Stampin Up Idea Book

I did three flowers all Mom's card

I used the new die on the other two side flowers

one more flower to make

voila my mom's card

ouh but wait till you see that matching box with all the wonderful photos

I can't wait to show you!

I used all sorts of beads and pearls from Stampin  UP!

I adhere them with  Tomboy Glue

I had such a wonderful Sunday!

We were real busy My mom and I made alot of pies - she did all the Pie crust and shells

and I made the stuff to go in he he :-)

the best pie was for the Sugar Pie - this is a French Canadian Pie and it's to DIE for you

yhum - not soooooo good for the HIPS but sometimes you just got to have a little sweet yhum yhum! LOL
it was real nice! I had stuck supper in the oven first thing in the morning so we could have supper ready when we were done pie making!

I think we made like 30 some pies??? Right Mom

anyways that was my Sunday - Saturday was spent with Renee - between Cheer and Shopping!

like that is going to happen soon NOT I am the LAST minute Packer  - my bad!
