Out West last masculine card from Stampin Stressaway

holly I cannot beleive that the end of March is just about upon us

April is going to be a super crazy month for us

and I hope I can manage to do it all

having said that I will not be holding our regular stamp class' for April

Mirror Image Decals & Signs will be in a trade show on April 20th

and we have Easter in there

and the end of the month I will be traveling out of the country (stay tune for them details)

so I only have one weekend left in the month of April

having said that why not hold a STAMP A STACK

haven't done that in a while

in the Stampin Stressaway craft room

we will start at 1:00pm

I don't have a theme yet (but I am working on it)

so as soon as it's designed I promise to give you all a sneak peak

I  used the embossed  boot for this card

did you know you can colour on cork

I know I never knew either

worked beautifully

a little sponging

colours here are

early espresso - so saffron

interesting combo uh

but hey it worked beautifully

I used the greeting from the same set called sweet treats

made like a banner idea

adding a few more details

cut out a little bit

ahw I like that brad there better

it's getting there

the satin ribbon is nice - my opinion lol

I used tombo again for the cork as well as the little rope detail

there we have it a second card created with the Out West stamp set

Out West Masculine card created with cork

good morning on a non recipe day lol

today is supposed to be a recipe day but I am changing it up a bit

sorry friends!

instead I bring you another card

still taking the design from the Idea book and putting a

Carole'Anne spin on it

I just got this stamp set and I also got some cork - which I had never used before

it was really fun to work with

so let's start

here's the idea

I chose 4 pieces of DSP from the well worn pack

I actually love this DSP

then I took out my stamps and layed them on the cork

the first ink I tried was Black staz on

then I thought hum?

wonder if I could emboss on this???

guess what it work!

cool uh?

I used the stampin up die to cut the circle

with Mr. Big Shot ofcourse

work beautifully

I also did two more circle

colours I used were

not quite nave and early espresso

now let's add details

since I had never adhered cork before I tried a few things and found that the tombo was the best adhesive to use here

it's coming together nicely don't you think?

a greeting from Sweet shop (I know uh?? but it was the perfect font)

I also coloured some seam binding

I like the look of the seam binding

I did not colour it solid - wanted to look a little ruff you know?

I ended up distressing the edges a little

a second look at the card
