Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne

announcing the last stampaholic challenge it's a 3D book recovered with Stampin Up DSP

it's Friday

phew made it thru another week

it's been filled with lots and lots of interuptions

but hey I did it -

he he

now for the weekend coming up

I am actually going to get a bit of a break for two days

yhippy

Rex and I are actually going to head to Jasper

this is the only get away we have had since our two day camping trip with the kids on July long weekend

so this is going to be nice

it's only for over night - but better then nothing right??

all right I have some news for you all

after much thought we at the SAH team have decided to put the

stampaholics challenge blog to rest

it seems that it's been very hard to make a go of it and as much as we have all enjoyed the blog challenge it seems to not be living up to it's potential

having said that I want to thank our wonderful SAH designers

we were really blessed to have had a great amount of talent on our team and they will be missed

sooooooooo my friends this is going to be my last post for SAH

it's a 3D this week

and we did a book

I started with this book

 
I took it apart so I could recover it completly

 
then chose this DSP

Mocha oh yes sounds yhum

lol okay it's yhummy for the eyes anyways lol

 
I am covering it all up inside and out

 
covered now to decorate

 
and choosing stamps

I chose

Nature Walk and Notably Ornate

 
stamped on crump cake cardstock

 
then stamped a little more

 
I cut out the images and stamped a greeting

now for a bow out of seam binding so love seam binding

I put a peace of black satin down first

 
voila my covered book

Studio Sketches Stampin Up watercolouring

so remember that card that I was playing with on Thursday - okay ready to giggle?? this is really what I was going for! LOL

 
so this is what I was playing with

I had watercoloured this image from The Stampin Up Studio Sketch stamp set

I framed it with the Notabley Ornate

(I used Versa Mark and clear embossing powder)

and I cut it out inside and out

and then I was so not sure where to go with it he he

 
I used the Mr. Big Shot to make this beautiful impression!

 
and this is where I ran into issues lol

I had the newsprint DSP going on and it was not what I wanted-

so I decided that I had to do something different

and that is where my Thursday card came in lol

I know I am such a dork sometimes he he

 
so took those layers off and used them for the other card

and went this direction instead!

 
there we go I did a little seam binding (crumb cake) - (page 16 of the mini item # 122332)  treatment in the bottom

have I mentioned how much I love love love that beautiful seam binding to work with lol????

all in this wonderful catalogue

and at the top I used the little banner that is in the new petal cone die in the

same mini catalogue

(it's on page 15 item # 121810)

and I stamped a little greeting

Scrapbook page for Stamp-a-holics challenge I used a photo of Shelli and I

so as you all know I am not much of a scrapbooker he he - but I had something special to do this time it's was a photo taken at Stampin Up Leadership!

it's easy challenge this time

it's called LOVE

so you create a page with the them love

I decided to do the Stampin Up Leadership

as you know it was my first time and I totally loved it!

so take a look what I did!

 
I created this in My digital studio

it took me 5 min no kidding

so I still had lot's of time to make this page even better

 
I started with layers

I used confetti white and basic gray

 
now for some ribbon and seam binding

I am also using some beautiful flowers

they are from the new Mini Occasions Stampin Up Catalogue

I used the rose red ones and they are on page 15o fun

 
now to create a flower

cool thing

my next tutorial will be on

FLOWERS

all sorts

including fabric

that will be available on the 31st of January!

Mojo Monday Notably Ornate with Fabric flower

Stampin Up DPS Fabric and Notably Ornate Stamp set turns into Mojo MOnday!

good day my friends

it's Thursday and I finally feel a little more caught up

you will laugh at me today if you follow Sandi's blog

cause remember how we share a brain cell he he

funny thing - I started yesterday working on this card and guess what set I used???

okay soooooooo let's look at this sketch that I played with!

they always have wonderful

sketches and a great rate of

participation

maybe one day our stamp-a-holics blog will be that good he he

okay sooooooooo I took out my DSP from the

Mini Occasions Catalogue - it's called Botanical Gazette it's on page 26

I stamped with Early espresso and Marine Mist

 

 
and I cut it out


I used the new punch

build a blossom and my embossing folder in my Big Shot


then I created this neat flower with some new Fabric

the fabric is called

Springtime Vintage - it's on page 38


now for some die cut little butterflies

I also created a bow with some crumb cake seam binding


a cute little tag

I used the stamp set called

Clearly for You

again in the Mini Occasions Stampin Up Catalogue

I put a little eyelet and instead of ribbon I used a piece of fabric


and voila

so in the areas that I tore the DSP
