Announcing our Colour Refresh! We love colour and we know that you do too. Colour is fundamental to who we are and what we offer. It's important for us to stay up-to-date with colour trends so we are thrilled to share our updated line of colours, and hope you will be as excited as we are by the new possibilities!

Why now? In 2010 we did a big colour renovation and shared our plans for smaller colour refreshes every three to five years to keep our colours on trend. Well it has been three years and we are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013-2014 annual catalogue will include 10 new colours (most of which are returning In Colors from previous years)! We are welcoming back some of your favourites, moving some colours around, and introducing one brand-new colour, so take a look!

Onto my crazy world news
It's been a lot of crazyness but as my mom says I like it that way and yes mom you are sooooo right !
Work is rocking and I sure am appreciative
It's beautiful to see the growth and successes for both Enviromulch and Mirror Image Decals & Signs. Honestly could not be happier and so much gratefulness for that
In the second photo shared here is a new cool job Kayla and I did yesterday

The third photo is a decals I had the opportunity to install for my beautiful niece Heather for her new Barber Shop "Tommy Guns " in Okotoks Alberta what a wonderful afternoon we had the 4 of us!

Loved visiting Big Fork Montana. The two photos were taken at the Swan River inn that Rex and I stayed at. What a fabulous location and room
Max also really enjoy the trip.
So friends I get goin i want get my yoga in this mornin
And tomorrow mornin before work I hope to prep for my up and coming combined class that I am holding on Sunday April 21st. Holly I am all ready running out of weekends for April. How'd that happen lol

Vaseline and baby wipes really??? Yes!

It's true I used Vaseline and baby wipes

but golly I had a hard time!

I was working on my classes and my tutorials!

but first I do have to share something with you my loyal blogging friends

as most of you who follow my blog know that I lost my baby brother on Feb. 3, 2000

well today would of been my baby brothers 39th birthday

I can't beleive that he would of been 39 today!

it's hard to imagine as they don't age in our minds - I still see him as he was when he passed away

at the age of 28!

having said that I want to share a few photos with you

hope you don't mind!

so I played with Petroleum jelly and baby wipes

take a look at all the things that I tried

I did succeed in the end although it took a while

like from 2:30am to 3:30pm

 

I really did succeed in the end

and I sure did have lot's and lot's of fun!

A Mixed bag of a post today!

Good morning!

I have a bit of a mixed bag this morning

I have two cards to share with you - and no no don't worry no great big long tutorial on this one LOL!

The first card is a card that I created for The Stampin Connect Sketch that I created!

And remember how I had lot's of background cardstock from my reinking float technique???

Well I put them to good use on this sketch

sooooooooooooo

took those little pieces and created some circle with my cool circle cutter tool!

then I stamped with black craft ink and embossed the flowers from Messages from Mom

I used Gable Green as my background card stock and night of navy to matt my circles

I then coloured three different ribbons

I used the Gable Green , the Taken with Teal and Night of Navy Stampin Write markers

to make all the ribbons, the final layer here is Taken with teal.  I also stamped and embossed my greeting from the stame stamp Message for Mom

I stamped the inside with Versa mark using the same flower stamp as the front

I also used some pearls from the pretties kit and the cute little gems from Stampin Up Occasions mini! I am really in hopes that Stampin Up will come out with these all on there own in the new Catalogue that will be released this summer! Wouldn't that be just FABULOUS?

You know this card was super duper fast, (I guess after the first part from the other of making the backgrounds he he) It would make sense to make a bunch backgrounds you know and them use them as you need them! Fun Stuff - I sure love to play can you tell LOL????

okay so the second part of my post!!

I have a cute little story to share with you!

So on Sunday my Renee asked me if I would help her make a thank you card.

I said ofcourse (yha I know I was a little selfish, cause that meant I got to spend more time in my craft room, ouh what a shame LOL )

She explained to me that she was very appreciative for her English Teacher (whow I thought to myself - what a wonderful thoughtful thing to do)

She continued to explain that her teacher is a wonderful person who has really helped her acheive success in this class ( really proud moment I have to admit he he )

so we went into the Craft Room!! YHAHOOOOOOOOOOO

and this is what she wanted to do (ouh and I am going to hold back a little info sorry - but I am going to be doing this my class on Sunday.......... so that is special just for Sunday's class)

so she created the background first with the brayer and some glossy card stock

it's cool to see the action, cause when I am doing this for y'all I can't show you that he he!

her background is done

she wanted to make a flower and we seen a rose and we tried to make that out of the ornament punch...............

Neither of us like that!!!!

see the yellow funny looking thing here LOL!

So yes you guessed it 

we redesigned this wonderful idea!!!

Sorry this is the part that I am keep for my class!!!

What a mess - Renee is so good at cleaning up after though - so the mess is short lived he he :-)

had to get my fingers in there LOL

I embossed the greeting and Renee put the beautiful Black satin ribbon - then she put three little rhinestones

then we made the leaves

and now she is using the large glue dots to adhere the beautiful flowers

Renee is just positioning them  now

whow didn't she do a good job

we each made a flower here 

I just love the way it turned out!

and voila

Realy special time spent with my Renee, I really really enjoyed it!!!!

I love love love surprises, and few people have been able to pull a surprise on me!!!!

Truly very few!!!

I do remember one that will always stick in my mind.............

okay sorry just have to share this one with you!!!

soooooooo I think it was 31st birthday???(I won't tell you the year that was he he)

my baby brother along with my mom and my really special Grandma created this amazing Surprise birthday party!!! It truly was a perfect surprise!

As my son Evan had a Hockey year end party (ofcourse being the team manager, my birthday was the last thing on my mind, my thoughts were only for the kids on Evan's team, the awards, the games, the party and the food...........)

So the four of us, Rex, Evan, Renee and I were off to the preplanned Hockey year end party for the Evan's team.

When we arrived home around supper time, I was greeted by my mom, which I was expecting as she was bringing my grandma over to our place to stay the night. 

But she looked upset and sad, and she told me that I should head down to my Grandma's bedroom, as she was really sick.  I was immediatly upset (the funny thing was that Evan knew all along and had even delayed things for me, by wanting to stop at the grocery store, as everyone was not ready at home, isn't that cute ahw my little man he he )

anyways I take a deep breath and head down stairs, I am on the verge of tears, as my grandma really was so special to me and I she had never been sick!!! the way my mom said it, really sounded like she was super sick!

I headed down the stairs lights out and as I took the second last steps 

"Surprise Carole'Anne"!!!!

Honestly it's a momery that I will treasure forever 

(as I recall this day I can picture my baby brother and my dear grandma -just like it was yesterday - have I ever mentioned how much I miss them both??)
