Good day friends

Hope you had a wonderful long weekend (for those States friends he he)

Yesterday was my Renee's first day at college phew what a weird feeling that is???

and then her 18th birthday is only a few days away

where has my the time gone???

okay sorry enough blah blah

so today I am going share a card I made over the weekend for my coworker Wanda

she has just moved into a new place I wanted to make her a card

after searching all my stamp sets I have NOTHING with a house??

WEIRD

I better get on that uh? lol

anyways so I thought I would go at it on a different approach

so I stamped the nest with black staz on

 
I coloured the nest

 
coloured and now shimmery

 
then I did some emboss resist

I really love that technique

 
layers and trying to put the greeting

I have terrible writting

 
okay I think I got it he he

 
and voila here is the card

I like the writting the LEAST

but oh well it's personalized rigth lol?

Natures nest with Stamping 411 sketch

 
good y'all hope you had a great weekend - I played with Stamping 411 sketch yesterday!

with the kind of week I had last week I was bound to mess up somewhere and I did

so I made this card for saying I am sorry he he

okay I started with Stamping 411's sketch

 

 

I thought  I would start with this one

cause my dear Friend Lee

is part of the design team

 

so here's what I did with this sketch

I started with the stamp set from Stampin Up called

Natures Nest

 
Stamped the image on watercolouring cardstock

with black staz on

 
I deposited colour with my pencils

blended

 
in some ink

 
and blended more with aquapainter

 
created some circles for the sketch

 
used groom DSP

but did nto like it

 
okay back to thinking he he

decided to take the bridesmaid DSP and sponge it

 
better don't you think?

 
okay now the greeting and I am almost done

Natures Nest in the end for the last man card

 
I did try to create a man card without an animal and well that did not work he he let me show you what I did at first but it just was not turning out the way I wanted it to lol

 
then I tried this about 4 times

 
and none were manly enough

so moved on to something different - don't worry I finished this card and I will share it on Monday!

 
okay so went with

Natures Nest stamp set

of course it's a Stampin Up Stamp LOL
I watercoloured this cute little frog!

then I put him on a background!

 
but I cute the turtle first

let me show you what I did with the background!

 
blue sky and sand

ahw how I wish I was there lol

 
pretty neat uh?

then I added a little sand for the turtle lol

 
cool uh?

okay let's finish this card up

would you beleive that I was almost done yesterday with this post for you and something happened that it dissapeared sad uh?

Inspiration Challenge for The Stamp-A-Holics

Whow It's Friday

kinda feels like a Monday to me LOL
I actually took yesterday off!

It was amazing to have day off after working 32 days straight!

I had such a good time with my company! We even made a fun card with the three precious children!

so today I am back at work..................

This week's challenge is a GREAT one!

take a look at Becky's wonderful Inspirational Photo!

 

so I did not take the colour

but I did take the sea shell

my colours are

Pretty in pink

Pink Pirouette

Regal Rose

Melan Mambo

& White

I know I went crazy with the pinks he he

oh I have to say as well that Madame Vilaine was not in the mood to work today

so we have a fill in today

I am sure that Mr. Nasty will miss Madame Vilaine even more after this week

 

so I went with Bleach technique for this one!

 

now to heat emboss

 

now for some bleach

 

then I added a little shimmer white

 

then I cut out the sea shells

 

and so I did my greeting and a lot of layers

 

and thanks to Lee's wonderful ribbon maker I have a beautiful bow!

 

and voila my card for the wonderful inspiration challenge

I just want to show you how pretty the sea shell are

oh and yes it took me 29 min I am so bad

I am having issues focusing lately with everything that has occured with my business!

 

and that is it for me for today!

Natures nest for Challenge #65 LNS & The Play Date Cafe

hello everyone

I realize this is way late today!

sorry I failed miserably at my first card sooooooooooooooo after spending 2 1/2 hours on it I totally restarted which was at 5:45 am!

soooooooo here I am on Easter Monday - late - but you know what they say better later then ever right LOL

goodness this will NOT make me think I will have a bad week, cause I am done with bad weeks - I am going to have the best week EVER! After all on Saturday we are going to announce our new design team...................... sooooooooooooooooo that will be soooooooooooooooooo EXCITING

okay sorry no more blah blah onto what I did for THE SECOND time LOL

so for the LNS challenge this week, we have a sketch

ouh and then I found this challenge!

 

ain't it sooooooo PRETTY!

 
This is from a Challenge called

Play Date Cafe

now I am ready 

I chose Natures Nest stamp set today

I chose bashful blue - night of navy and shimmery white

 
I used the flower punch - large that was introduced in the mini occasions min

Stampin Up has kept this punch as an item that we can still purchase

I also did three scallop circles punched in bashful blue

 
after spraying them with shimmer mist I crumpled them

then I sponged the edges of the flower with Ngith of navy ink

then I poked a hole in the middle of my flower so I could insert a brad

flower is done - now I am creating my tag and adding some ribbon

I coloured another ribbon to match the Night of Navy

After I stamped the dragonflies with versa mark I embossed them with clear embossing powder

then I took some bleach and bleached out the wings

sponged with bashful with night of navy

 
and I  Created a broch

voila here is my card!  

oh goodness every photo is taking about 15 to 20  min to load I am sorry this is soooooo late

I started this post at 8:05am it's almost 11 - can you beleive it ????

Natures Nest and putting what I learned to use

Good day y'all

so this morning I played around alot with some new techniques!

I seen a pretty card yesterday that Selene Kempton!

and so I used part of her cool technique and then I used the new stuff from Regionals

Selene's Blog

take a look at what she did!

so what I did is a little different and I am sorry there is not name for this so bare with me okay?

I used a lid from a rubber maid container and put water in it

then I started dropping stuff he he

the first thing I put in was white craft in

then I put in reinker colours for this challenge

then take a look at this effect

so neat uh?

ouh then dropped a card stock

the first piece I used was shimmery white, which is the same as Selene's

ouh yes I did emboss first

okay now I try something else

thenI tried on a glossy white card stock and dropped some reinker directly on my wet card stock

then I spritzed with my shimmer spray

then I tried to embss on this funky look

hum??

let me try something else

so I decided to try white emboss on one of the lighter pieces

take a look at my cute little charm that we got at Regionals he he 

I went with this sketch from Card Patterns

  

  now for ribbon

I also embossed two feathers on another piece of background that I created and I cut them out

I added gold and Bermuda Bay to the eye and then Crystal Effects

I created a greeting

I am going to give this card to someone who went out of there way yesterday for my company and I am going to include a Tim Hortons Gift Card as well

I edged the edges a bit with Bermuda Bay

tomorrow I am going to make something with the two other backgrounds

Romantic Silk-Shimmer Watercolour Background - my new invention!

Good Morning!

whow I had such a hard time deciding on this name holly y'all made it hard for me he he :)

here's what I went with

"Romantic Silk-Shimmer Watercolour Background"

for Short RSSWB! he he

okay soooooooooooooo The Romantic came from Lee

The Silk was Janets'

shimmer was Chris H.

& Kim was the Watercolour

Dawn had the Shimmery and background holly cow who gets the CARD???

here's what I decided to do!

I will draw two names tomorrow after I make one more card using this background technique & will announce the name tomorrow oh my yes on my NON POST day

all Cause I love y'all so much HE HE :)

all right are you ready???

so I did a The Curtain Call Challenge on this card

 

Then I used the Z Fold -

this was recently created by Robin take a look

okay, so my first attempt was a big failure - the colours were the problems

I won't waste your time with that today just because this post is all ready going to be long and don't want to bore you he he:)

okay so

ROMANTIC SILK-SHIMMER WATERCOLOUR BACKGROUND!

whow before I start this I need to grab a coffee he he - give me a minute :)

I will up load my first photo

my new colours 

so I scribbled with all four of my colours - oh for Kraft I used the Creamy Carament

Yha I am back he he coffee in hand a homemade potatoe soup cooking on the stove he he :)

spray shimmer mist

(shimmer mist is water mixed with shimmery paint - I use both Champage and the Frost White - you want  your water to look MILKY)

make sure it good and WET

blend in all directions so you have none of that scribble left

VERY IMPORTANT
let Dry at this stage for a good 1/2 hour

I left mine for about an hour

 
  now you need stamp pads - dabbers and Shimmer paint ofcourse LOL

wrip an edge of a sticky note and start dabbing

keep going

just keep dabbing ink until you like the look!

now for the stamp

  I found some photos to try to inspire me

I used the little bunch to make my reefs

I dabbed creamy caramel

now I added more blue on the top to make it look more like an ocean

coming together 

 
I stamped the turtle from the

Natures Nest stamp Set

on shimmery white

colouring with stamp pads and shimmer paint

my turtles are ready 

hum now what 

this is where I struggled to put this card together

I think I like the layers I chose

but then I need to add more details

word of advice

layer LAST lol - that is what I do usually but I after putting it kind like this I just knew it need something

so here's what I did

 
I used my Stampin Write marker - Old olive and drew some grass in

okay almost done!

so I was having a hard time adding some accessories

buttons didn't work

ribbon - nah

no on brads

soooooooooooooooooooooo..............................

good thing I have been to a few beaches in my life LOL
ouh yes Sea Shells

he he :)
I also did a couple of greetings and punched them out with label punch

and I added a little Cuba Sand he he :)

Natures Nest, Of The Earth & Asian Artistry my new invented technique

Good day to y'all

so today I have something so different for you!

What I was working on these past view days, is a new background technique that I created

I was so intense into it that I did not even take photos until after

do y'a think I will be able to repeat this???

Who knows LOL

okay so I also used Bleach - I am going to do Bleach on Saturday again, but in entirely different way then today.

soooooooooooo................... I used the colours from the Just Us Girls Challenge

I beleive this challenge was created just for me lol

This is more what I am comfortable with

so these are my colours

I will show you as we go the stamps I used cause I changed my mind alot he he

and I had  a HUGE HUGE HUGE ROSA moment

ready for a few giggles

okay here we go! LOL

okay so like I said after making my background with

ink, watercolourcrayons, markers, shimmer mist and shimmer paint this is what I got

but this is not the end product just you wait

okay then I used my stamp (dragonfly from the Natures Nest - I got this stamp cause Sandi made such beautiful cards with this set, and I had never even noticed in the catalogue - my bad - thank you Sandi)

What I did with this is I used a paper towel soaked in bleach - in a little container and put the stamp right in the bleach - and stamped direct to card stocke

cool uh?

okay now let's see what other kind of damage I can do lol

okay so I some layers with dabbing ink a sticky note

I show you in a bit

then I decided to use the flower from of the earth

WARNING
I did not like it lol

oh my goodness

do you know how lucky I am that I used Craft ink???

I was able to wipe it!

with a BABY WIPE

okay so now took off the flowers that I did not like

and I am adding more colour (that went away with my wipe) lol

I used a wripped post it note and all three of my colours

I applied on a dabbers and dabbed aways

so I decided to go with Asian stamp

BUT I did not use part I avoided getting ink on the bird!

 
What do you think?

I am using this beautiful ribbon and I am going to make knot in it

but then I decided the greeting was to big

so I trimmed it down

now for knots in the ribbon

now for some bling bling

it's coming together now!

The Greeeting is on and I just have to finish the layers and put the dragonflies on
