Last day for blog candy. Amazing race 20th surprise and new Stampin up colours

Ggggggooooooodddddddd holiday Monday here in Canada!
It's been such a great weekend!
So much accomplished and truly enjoyed being home all weekend. Whow what a treat!
Lots accomplished and ready now to do Stampin for my swap cards
Ouh but wait as promised a little about what my three wonderful girls did to celebrate by 20th anniversary in business
Let me first say that I really had nooooo clue at all that they even remembered let alone that they had this incredible surprise for me. Truly was the most shocked surprise I have ever had in my life - although Paul's surprise birthday party years ago that he did for me is a close second.
So first I found it weird that RENÉE was actually rushing me out the door - usually she is the one who delays me leaving the office lol
Anyways I headed out to go look at a crane for a customer then went to my usual appointment with Penny. Mind you she had fibbed me by changing the time
So I show up and she says my appointment is cancelled and she hands me an envelope
It says amazing race and it looks so cool
She says happy anniversary and this is a race now go
I am of course in shocked didn't even open the envelope I go sit in my truck and try to reach the girls in the office and they won't answer !!!!! Lol
So I finally open the envelope and figure out that the girls put this fabulous little amazing race together
Sooooo coooolll how they had some cool locations and some customers and such involved - really such a memorable day
So in the envelope ( see how cool they look - in photo 1) is a clue
I figure it out so fast it's my favourite coffee location with my favourite Tim's girls
They even put a twoonie ( that's our two dollar coin here in Canada) for my coffee
Too cute
Once there I get a second envelope my Tim's girls are so cute they were just as excited as I was
This one sends me to one of my customers
There I get a beautiful editable arrangement I even look at a truck that I need to decal ( apparently not part of the schedule and Renée was tracking and could not figure out why I wasn't leaving )
Too cute uh
Oh and i got another envelope
That one I had to think where I had to go it wasn't coming to me
I guess I just needed another drink of my coffee lol
Oh and then it came to me I had to go to Kayla's sisters house
As I pulled up to their house I was thinking
Hum??? No one here - if the girls don't answer the phone and no one here how in the world will I get my clue he he
Walked up the steps and rang door bell
And when the door opened it was my three amazing ladies awaiting me yelling
SURPRISE!
Still in shock over everything they rushed me out the door and we started running
I can't see Renée's vehicle so I can't figure out where we r running to!
Too cute
Then more exciting and fun
They drove me to undisclosed area and we spend a beautiful afternoon and then dinner time together
That would be the 2nd and 3rd photo
Sure was such a special day
Sooooo yes May 6 1993 marked the beginning of being self employment.
20 years later I still so love my job and feel such deep gratitude for so many reasons
I get to have my daughter step into my footsteps (that I never seen coming) I love it
I get to do a job that I love everyday
I have gained amazing friends that are my customers - I really have the best customers in the world
My suppliers are so dedicated to helping me succeed which I am so appreciative for
Then I have the most incredible staff both current and past
Further to all that in 2005 Rex had a vision to start Enviromulch - 8 years later that company has blossomed and I sure value that I get to work with Rex and Evan. I get to share in their passion and their growth it's so rewarding! Again I get to be with my husband and son!
I am utterly grateful for running our own companies and it felt so good to be appreciated by three amazing ladies.
How blessed I am to have my Renée, Kayla and Tracey to work with and create such a memorable day!

Now for a little Stampin up update!
Over Saturday and Sunday mornings I got to clean and reorganize my craft room to reflect the new colour changes that Stampin Up have just introduced
I did not realize how messy my areas were
I spent several hours in there to make it all pretty and very organized
All cardstock sorted to reflect the new catalogue

Then moved onto all the stamp pads - the re-inkers - the markers
Holly that was a huge job

It felt so good to have everything sorted and purged
I still need a few mornings to do all the stamp sets !!!
But this was a big part and so I feel good now he he
I hope to stamp a little this mornin as I have to make some swap cards!
Yesterday I had little Roland for the day ( that's woody's brother little boy) kinda like a little grand baby adopted by me lol
Just adorable
We had some BBQ hamburgers and fixings
Rex, Renée, And Woody then built a nice fire outside and they had some friends over
We enjoyed roasted marshmallows they had hotdogs too he he
What a nice evening!
Today after a little Stampin and yoga class it will be the house work afternoon and a little baking and something for supper
That's my agenda!

It's Wednesday!
Gooooddddd morning to y'All!
Hope you had a really great weekend
Ours was super busy
Oh yyyeeessss sure did love it
Had my boys home for the weekend and always savour them moments
We also worked part of the weekend and loved every moment of it!
I was thinking on Saturday morning as I was premasking decals - how very grateful and blessed I felt to go to a job that I so love and really happy to be at
Weither it's on a Saturday morning or not!
I love my job so thankful
I just love my life!
Sorry it's true!!!!(dork moment lol)
On Sunday I got to spend time in my craft room for several hours and finished up my Easter swap cards
I also finished designing my class cards for the weekend
We have Annette's class on Sunday !
On Monday mornin which was a day off I made homemade eggs Benedict for my beautiful family
I just totally savour them moments so very thankful
Also did a lot of cooking and baking during the weekend
It was great!
The week is shaping up nicely we had our yoga class last night which is amazing thank you Kate you Roooccckkkk!
Sooo ill quickly explain photos and then I gotta get goin!

No Internet at work non Italy post

Good mornin friends
So I have a little obstacle on this Coolish Thursday mornin
I've been up and goin hard since 1:45 am
And so you'd think my blog would be posted with part two of my highlights from Italy
Well okay not so much
Seems when I got to the office at 3:30 am I had no Internet
As you know on my iPad can only share 5 photos at a time
Soooooooooo couldn't post my last highlight photos from Italy for you sorry friends
However I thought I'd share a project that I mentioned we were working on just before we left for Italy
And so today is another funny post from my craziness
I so totally love my life
I enjoy being soooooo busy with life and work (and most grateful for the continued stream if business yhe)
Looking forward to yoga tonight woop woop
And on Saturday taking a special workshop from 3 to 9pm
It will be good for me
My house is a little nuts with renos
And painter starting on Monday
Oh but still no tile ghuherryyy
I have to go back again tomorrow
A different supplier is now in the picture so this will get fixed and once it's all done I will certainly celebrate(it will be so beautiful ill never wanta leave our home he he)
Let me say that in the intern it is a tad difficult
A wee big challenging remember i am also running a camp here lol
Oh yes suppers have been done every morning before I go to work ( for the 5 guys reside here)
So that yoga workshop will feel like heaven

Okay enough rambling sorry
onto the special project
One of the companies that I have done work for since the early 90's painted their truck pink
It's a "pick up for pink" breast cancer awareness program
Sooooo we did all the decals for them
And we donated them
Let me share the photos
The first two is from the Thursday night before we left for Italy remember I worked till like 11:45 pm that night
I had some help till about ten RENÉE and Woody( I so lucky)
Anyways we prepared the decals and Ken put them on a few days later
photo 3 and 4 show the results of our efforts woop woop
It's a great cause and really appreciated being part of it!!
The last photo is the trucks we decalled the week we left. They are usually green as you see
Thought it would be cool to share with you
Soooooo that's my silly post today without Internet in the office
Thankfully I have an iPad woop woop and you can at least hear from me lol

Saturday Blog Update for Stampin Stressaway

Good morning friends

sorry I was not able to post yesterday 

being on the road makes it a tad hard to mainting my blog sigh

and even harder to make a card

so I am sorry to say I have no card to share with you today!

But I have a blog update for you at least hehe

the one thing I want to mention to you all is that I have

soooooooo friends on Tuesday when I am back in Calgary for my Safety Auditing Course I'll be posting the winner of that blog candy

I am sure hopin that Sunday Morning I can play in my craft room long enough to get started on some convention swaps

and then I can share some stuff with you during the week 

this is my hope anyways that I can do stamp a little in my hotel room in Calgary while taking this 4 day course

siiiiiiigggghhhhhhh

The month of June is quite the month I tell you 

tomorrow we will have a BBQ at our house for Fathers Day

which will be nice

then I will do a full day at work on Monday

Monday night head to Calgary for 4 days

that weekend of the 24th will be Rex and I's 23rd wedding anniversary

then the weekend after will be Kayla's grad 

and then we have our wonderful cousin/friend come to visit us on the 1st of July

Margot and her kiddlets

soooooooooo yes I am going to be over the top busy

not to mention in all that we have lot's going on at work he he

love it I do and so grateful to have such a beautiful busy life

so very very blessed 

having said that if their are days from now till July that I don't post

Renee had to resign their logo - this is the style they wanted and she had fun trying to make pretty

she redid the horse and add the grass in

she also made the logo more user friendly too bad I don't have a before and after photo uh?

I want to take a couple minutes to share of the work Renee and I have been up to

Renee designed a logo for one of my friends hair salon

it's called Fusion

and we made a really nice decal for her window with her hours

we also made her a decal for the plexi sign

that is is just temporary as we will be doing some very nice fancy letters up there

Monday - after Father's day post!

Good day y'all

It's Monday - phew where did the weekend go??

 
The view from our hotel was beautiful the mountains just breathtaken

------------

We sure had a wonderful busy weekend we had!

We made it to Calgary safe and sound on Friday

it was so wonderful to browse the booths

and we learned so much

we got lot's of new ideas and samples!

Renee is even going to a day course Tuesday

wish I could join her but I can't :-(

anyways it was a wonderful get away with lot's brain storming fun!

and a new business plan - always good right??

having said that I did not spend anytime in my craft room

but I was  prepared for Fathers day!!!

all right that's my short post for today

oh wait got tell you what we (Renee and I )made for dinner for Rex

then Tyler and Evan were in charge of clean up

as we drove home  we stopped and got groceries at the Red Deer Save On Foods

that was good love that store and can't wait for it to get to us (it's being built right now)

then we got home and tried to unpack - clean  up- put away groceries

 and make supper

we did mashed potatoes - cauliflower and homemade cheese sauce

we did stuffed mushrooms(honmemade ofcourse)

 - we did baby shrimps in a garlic butter sauce

we BBQ T-Bone steaks and also some large prawns

oh yhum it was so good

we also gave Rex a Smoker and all the excessories for smoking meat

(I'll have to share a funny story one day about Rex trying to make beef jerky with my dad in a homemade smoker LOL)

so soon I am sure I'll be posting some yhummy recipes for beef jerky and smoked sausages he he

anyways my friends I have to get to work it's all ready 4:20am and I am behind the eight ball this morning

so until tomorrow

Taco Recipe created on My Digital Studio Stampin Up!

Good day it's Wed. Morning and I am sort of behind

was on installs yesterday and I have just kinda ran out of time this morning in the office

but I am pulling it together slow but sure

to top things off we had to take our Goldie back to the vets - Rex took her about a month ago

she has really bad hips and the last couple months have just gotten worse

and this past weekend was really really bad (really sad sigh)

anyways She went back yesterday and I went to meet with the doctor when I picked her up and the news is grim

Her hips are bad but to top it off she tore her knee and that is why she is having such a hard time walking

she seems still so happy and still wants to chase the birds and play with Max

but it is so sad to see her not able to walk very good

anyways I have pain medicine for her - but we will have to make a family decision

I don't want to see her struggle - if any of you know me or my family - you know that my dad had a long lasting illness and it was very very difficult on our family and on my very special dad - so I would not wish that on anyone and I don't want to have our Goldie suffer either

Tassle created from a ribbon post sorry no recipe today

it's Wed and I know it's suppose to be a recipe be - but hey fun to mix it up a bit would'nt you say? lol

instead I thought it would be fun to show you how I make my tassle on the graduation

card from yesterday

so the first thing I did was take a piece of satin ribbon

I used black and approx. 15''

I folded it in half and made a knot in the top with a loop

 

then I cut the edge of the satin ribbon

like photo below
 

it's the tiny edge of each side of the ribbon that keeps it all together

we are taking it apart

so we are cutting that off

 
now that both side are cut start pulling off the  cross strands

 
up close this is what your ribbon will look like

you will take all those cross strands off

 
now I all did at this piont was comb it out a bit

and tried to clean up my mess lol

 
ready to put on my cap

what do you think of this idea for  tassle

 I think it's wonderful that we can create so many things out of our Stampin Up

supplies!

 
then I inserted a large white brad thru the center of my cap

and thru the loop that I created when I first made my tassle

 
there we have it my friends a ribbon tassle

oh I wanted to show you a few project that Renee and I have been working and

the BIG Crane that we will be doing decals for and installing on Friday

 
this is the second largest crane I will have ever decalled

so it will be fun to do

Renee and I measured it all up on Monday

Work weekend and trying to make a pop up card

 
Good day friends

it's Monday morning and I am not sure where the weekend went

great work weekend and lot's accomplished but when does Friday arrive LOL

oh well I am happy and certainly NO complaints from ME

okay so I am working on a Pop Up card

that I have not perfected - I promise to share the details a bit later

but for today you only get a few work photos a few really cute photos of Max

I am sure that he should be in some of advertising photo thingy for dogs

cause he loves the camera

oh wait I have more news too

I almost fergot

okay so as of Friday I have two college registered kids

yahooooooo

Evan will start his 4th year at NAIT on August 29 (which by the way is his 21 birthday )

and My Renee will start college for her first year on July 4th

Truly so proud of them both

and fix some flames (may I add that I am so proud of Renee for redesigning the flames)

Gooooooooooooddddddddddddddd morning!

sorry friends that I did not post yesterday

long day at work started at 4:15am and was driving home from install at 6:15pm!

I did manage to pull supper together with Renee's help and was back out the door by 7:15pm

did I mention that this grad thing is a lot of work lol

fun and exciting

so the other day I was not sure what to have with our steaks

so I looked up recipes and decided to make roasted veggies

ofcourse the recipe I looked up I did not really use

I did my own thing lol

everyone loved them

and we did it again on Monday night for supper less the potatoes cause we were having mashed potatoes

so anyways hope you like this one!
