Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne

I (heart) Hearts my husbands card

Good morning y'all!

hope you have had a GREAT weekend! Holly I can't beleive it's over all ready, it went by sooooooooooo fast!

So today I am combining two challenges into one.  I was my turn to create the sketch for the Stampin Connect card. Sooooooo here is what I designed in my Digital Studion Program  I really like using this Digital Program that Stampin Up has recently released! It's really easy to use and it's fun!

so one more challenge I put this with.............

The Late night stampers challenge this week, is all about punching out your fustration!

If you knew what kind of Friday I had, you would think, that this was in perfect time for Carole'Anne

sooooooo let me tell you my fellow stampers, I punched out a lot of fustration on my husbands card

We can used regular hand punches or we can use our big shot "of course" he he

sooooooooo here's what I came up with!

oh yes sorry one more thing, I wanted to mention, was that I had to make this card as manly as I could!

 
I started with The I (heart) Hearts stamp set.

I also used All Holidays Stamp set as well

my colours

Real Red, Black , Natural White and Going Grey

I used a bunch of different heart punches and dies 

these are from the Stampin Up Idea Book on Page

197 - its called the Hearts Set

then I used the Circles and the scallopped Cirlces to make some circles for the focal point

Carey I think you will be in heaven this week uh??

so I beleive I am feeling better after punching all my fustration out he he :)

I have a lot of hearts and several cirlces to choose from

 

I had chosen a little enveloppe but it was just not the right size so I pulled out the

Stampin Up Enveloppe template - you know I am not sure if this is available anymore cause I have had it for a while

anyways I picked the one I wanted and used my stylus to trace it instead of a pencil.

Using the stylus, you see; you don't need to erase pencil marks and then you all ready have the score lines done as well he he :)

can you see how cool and easy that is

now I will cut out my little envelopped

then I will fold and adhere

I am finally getting to my sketch now and I am going to stuff this enveloppe full of hearts

then I used my Texturz Plates that Stampin Up have

this one is on page 195

It is called Texture Plates Kit #4

cool beans uh ( that comes from Liane, she always says that he he )

 

then I used the new Stampin Up Folder called

Perfect Polka Dots from page 35 in the Occasions mini

to deeply emboss some of the hearts

Pretty cool uh

then I used Ruby Red ink and shimmer paint

and a dabber and added some colour - which brought the words and the hearts out as well

it`s coming along 

holly is that enough hearts????

he he

so now for the 

"Happy Valentines" Greeting which I used Ruby Red to stamp

I punched yes I did he he

with the Oval punch and edged my oval

and s`more hearts inside he he

okay I am done here is the front of the card

 
I put three little brads in the bottom left

sooooo what do you think?

maybe I should of added a few more hearts LOL

okay I have a few quick up close photos and that will be it for today

hey did you notice that I did not have a Rosa moment today?

yhe for me :-)

I like the brads and I like the way the background turned out

but I have such a hard time with man cards

This is the way I layered the greeting

up close of the hearts and layers and texture

I also edge some of the hearts too

anyways!

I (Heart) Hearts Vintage Card

Good morning to y'all

I love saying that............... I hope some day soon I will meet all my southern friends and get to hear their fabulous Southern Accents..............

so today is not going to be a mile long!

aren't you all happy????

Not too much rambling on LOL
I watched a movie late last night (11:15pm)....... that is late for me!

Then I didn't get up at 2:41am  ghurhrrrrr............. I slept till 3:25am  I hate that!!!!

sooooooo I am behind the eight ball this morning

I used the Stamping 411 Sketch............ I won't say this morning

cause I actually started this card on Sunday LOL

 

So I actually didn't start with

this sketch I added

in along the way -

this week!

yha yha I know we are talking me after all  he he :)

 
the colours I started with

and the stamp set

then I decided to go with black instead of Chocolate chip

okay so these are the colours I decided on

Black

Creamy Caramel

Ruby Red

& Very Vanilla

now for my lay out!

I stamped some hearts - sorry I left out taking a photo

blonde moment LOL 

now I am just playing around with some pretty little hearts

so I decided to cut around the heart (the center on)

and then punched another one

to matt in

so you will LOVE THIS 

I discover that if you start with a  2'' SQUARE

all  you have to do is use the corner punch to make this PERFECT square!

how cool is that????

now I didn't like it on the square loook

 so I decided to go with the

a diamond look instead

not bad uh??

now for a pretty ribbon

this is perfect cause it's black and vanilla

then I was thinking????

I wanted to layer this.........

but I didn't like the look

sooooooooooo I decided to masked around the edge and used my dabbers

I dabbed some ruby red and look how cool that looks

don't you love my sticky notes???

now that is so soft and pretty uh?

I am done my card and I think it's kinda Vintage??

With all my heart new little pizza box

Good Saturday morning!

I am running behind this morning!

I slept till 3:45am ghuhr that makes me mad! LOL - I wasted over an hour this morning - get this

~SLEEPING~

okay I will get over it he he :)
then my boys had to leave for work so had to help them!

Saturdays mean nothing to house full of self employed people LOL :)

soooooooooo Rex and Evan are off to work and as soon as I am done my post I too will be off to work.......

I actually really like working Saturdays - I know I am CRAZY he he

but it's quieter and I get more done! I am so super happy because work has picked up again and makes me feel so much better know that my desk is filled with orders!

okay sorry too much yhakking! Onto what I was doing this morning

I found this really cool colour challenge and I was excited cause it used our retired colours and I love love love love the Pink Piroutte.......

oh yha soooooooooo here's the challenge that I put to use

Seriously isn't this going to be awesome colours to work with!

and then I just to used Tuesday Project for my thingy that I was going to make

I love their projects and they always have a tutorial with it as well - how wonderuf uh??

okay so I started with the colours above and did a lot of scoring to create my little pizza box

ouh just wait till you see it......... oh my goodness - it is super duper cute

and Carey guess what??? I used the BIG SHOT - just for you ofcourse LOL

so I cut my Soft Suede and did alot of scoring

aint it just the cutest little box ever???

okay now some cutting of my favorite colour

doing the sides of the box

ouh layers - I know I tend to never do enough layers LOL

CRAZY THAT's ME LOL

 

and I did the same treatment on the inside

okay so now I wanted to do this beautiful punch corner and edge - but I had a bit of problems here's how it went down

I cut my first square to 3 3 1/6'' then used my NEW Corner punch

then I lined up the other punch to create the side scallop

and this is where I messed up cause it didn't line up so I do again with this new size

so I went with 3 5/16'' square and had a lot more success

okay now for some BIG SHOT action

so this new little die cut embossing heart template is in the 

Occasion Mini

adorable don't you think??
oh but wait I am not done with my Big Shot yet

now for the Heart die

this is bigger then the textured heart so it will border it perfect

oh then I used the new heart punch which is a little smaller

okay now let's do this thing lol

now I am going to use two of my favorite things

can you guess what they are going to be??

did you get it right

I used Crystal Effects and then shimmer paint

I did the first 3 layers with crystal effects and then added shimmer and then added crystal effects on top of that

doing some stampin now with 

I (Heart) Hearts stamp - I have the clear mounts in these

LOVEM!

okay now that I have punched those hearts out I will be doing the inside

are you ready to see this little pizza box??

and well there we have it my little Pizza Box

so on Tuesday I am going to do a tutorial on this but make the box big enough to fit in some cards

I (Heart) Hearts & Whimsical Words Challenge #53

Hello everyone!

It's Thursday and you are expecting the Big Shot project right???

Well, Samantha has decided to drop that blog!

sooooooooooooooooooo

We are doing a Valentines card instead!

Okay so my inspiration came from my friend from Florida

her name is Lee, and whow You need to go visit her blog..............

her work is fabulous................

here is her blog: Lee's Blog!

so here is her beautiful card that I got the idea for this card

now I said inspiration............. I am not a good CASER - so It's not exactly like Lee's card

I did not use any of the stamps sets that she used, and I used different colours

so I chose the I (Heart) Hearts from our new Occasion Mini

along with the the Whimsical Words (which is free from Sale-bration) and Vintage Vogue

my colours are

Black, Rose Red, Very Vanilla and I used The Bridesmaid DSP

 
I cut to a standard card size which is

4 1/4'' X 5 1/2''

 
used my fabulous new heart punch

 

this is coming along nicely

I still love the bridesmaid paper - I just love the classy look

did some ribbon colouring

now for some stampin

so I masked about 1/2'' of very vanilla piece, because I only wanted the flowers/branches on the bottom half

I like the bottom but do not like the greeting so lets try that again

 
oh sorry but first I want to stamp my heart

I used the Rose Red ink pad and my beautiful shimmer paint

I am so happy that Stampin Up are keeping this around cause I sure love to use this product

aint this just so beautiful?

so I cut around it with my scissor and then I punched a heart out in rose red textured card stock

so I have two big issues here

I do not like my greeting and the ribbon is too big

soooooooooooooooo

I got to fix this

first to problem fixed - used a smaller ribbon and coloured it

now I need to fix that greeting - the ribbons are much better now

yha that worked well uh?

NOT

he he

goodness I have to fix this mess now he he :)

having alot of ROZA moments this morning!

ouh yha I added more layers as well

okay my greeting is fixed and fergot to take a photo ooops sorry

but here is my card

and well what do you think of my version of Lee's wonderful card

I (Heart) Hearts with Card Pattern sketch Valentine card

It's Tuesday!

Whow I am one day late submitting my Valentine day card for Late Night Stampers Challenge #53

late on everything lately - sorry!

hopefully I will get caught up this week!

fingers and toes crossed he he :)

so I used this sketch

then some card stock and stamps

Colours:

Real Red

Very Vanilla &

Pretty in Pink

so using the new clear mount stamps with the I heart hearts

and then the regular wood blocks with the You & Moi

I sure love that Stampin Up! has introduced these wonderful stamps in the 

Occasions Mini!

The DSP is on page 13 It is Called

Sending Love Specialty paper

the card is square and it measures 6'' x 6''

I created the tag and I punched the bridesmaid paper with my new punch which is on Page

10 & 11

so pretty uh?

I sure love this punch - and I know you will too! 

having some fun with my Big Shot

I used a whole lot of punches as well on this card

adding some beautiful new ribbons

so I have had the Designer Hardware 

the Basic Jumbo Grommets for ever they are from page 179

of the Stampin Up Idea Book 

but I never knew how to use them!

I figured it out yhe me! :)

 

I used my 3/4'' circle punch

and insert the grommet and just turn the little teeth down

look at this!

 

then another discovery hehe:)

I stamped with Ruby Red (I know weird cause I am using Real Real card stock)

but it works and looks better - just my opinion lol

 

 

 

and guess what?

The number 28 punch on Page 186 of the Stampin Up Idea Book

the Heart to Heart punch is PERFECT for this

 

okay are you ready?

 

 
I used alot of hearts inside and I also stamped and embossed the word

LOVE using the Wondering Words Stamp Set

 

and there we have it

 my  first Valentine days card for 2010!

 

The little heart brads are in the mini as well aren't they just too adorable??

I have some upclose photos for you

I used some soft subtle pink brads in the top left corner

 

up close at all the hearts spilling out of the little tag

 

then the Grommet he he :)

 
I am so darn proud of myself to finally figure out how to use these lol

I know I am a goof

I used a couple of Glue Dots one on top of the other to adhere the ribbon

I heart Hearts - ghosting technique

hello my blogging friends

It's Tuesday morning and I tried my hand a new technique to me - called Ghosting!

So I used two different challenges this morning

I used the sketch from  "Our Creative Corner

then I went with the Diva Coffee Break colour challenge

so these colours were PRETTY HARD LOL :)

then I picked my stamp sets - yesterday I received the remainder of my preorder

so I used my new I Heart Heats Clear Mount Stamp set for these cards

ouh yes I made two cards. You asking why?

well you see I had the precious little elves helping me finish my Christmas baskets last night

my Renee and her friend Maryssa.

We were hard at till 1:00am this morning

I will share photos of our baskets in a few days - after I have given them out okay?

so with the Ghosting technique I tried a couple of different things

so Maryssa's card has embossing powder and Renee's hard only has the versa mark

My first step was to stamp "En Fancais" Background stamp on Glossy Card Stock

Then I stamped a solid image stamp with versa mark  - then I let dry

like I said Maryssa's card I embossed with clear embossing powder.

 

there after I took my brayer and brayered a few good heavy coat of ink!

Then I wiped off the ink from the solid stamp image - on my card these were the hearts

now to make it all pretty

I created some pretty little butterfies with my butterfly embossing/die - ran it thru my Big Shot

After I created the greating with a punch.

Added some ribbon

added some brads and pearls!

and there you have it

my 2 cards!

this is Maryssa's card!

and this is Renee's Card

ouh yha I have a few up close photos as well

I added some shimmer with my stamp pad and a dabber and you can really see it in the up close photos!

I know can you beleive Shimmer?? LOL
