Quick hello and update

Good morning friends
Hope you all had a great weekend with an extra hour!
I sure loved it woop woop
So great!
Had a super productive weekend and even got to go to a wonderful yoga workshop - ouh I tell you my abs know it he he it was a 4 1/2 hour workshop with 3 1/2 of pure yoga work out
Ouh la la I looooovvvveeedddd it
I also worked on finishing my class prep
Oh yes it's gonna be a great class on November 25th. I will have both of my groups together FUN TIMES YHAHOOO

Onto this update I just wanted to quickly share where we are with renos
Did I mention its a tad slowwwww lol
It will make me so appreciate my home when it's over - so happy and grateful for this!!!
Sooooooo house is almost done being painted
Tile is supposed to be installed on Monday the 24th(I can't wait)
Then hopefully the bathrooms can get finished? Hard getting ready without mirrors! He he
The nee mirrors will arrive on Friday and so will Tyler and also Rex and I's new bed - then to hang curtains and clean up after the mess yes love thus part
Our new kitchen table should arrive Thursday - our 21 year old table has served it purpose I'd say (funny story on this one- ill share later lol) I promise to share more photos!!!
But for now let me show you what has been accomplished
Sooooo let me share 5 photos with you and then I am off to sunrise yoga before I go to work!
The first photo is the before photo of my kitchen near the sink
The second photo is the new colour I don't have blinds or curtains yet I am waiting for the tile - the knobs on cupboards are also getting changed and ceiling fan also to be changed ( Renée and I picked all the new fixtures on Friday - also the new beautiful granite counter tops for the bathrooms - after the lights selection we have nice new lights in two if the four bathrooms - ouh the fixtures are awesome yhé)
Photo 3 is of the kitchen/dinning area before paint
Photo 4 is the new clean unmanaged wall with new colour
The yellow chairs will go to black
They are on order but don't have them yet!
And the last photo is the new tile that will be goin in
I am super excited
I will be trying to post a bit this week for you all
But it maybe here and there - as Tracey and I work on year end and I still am the camp service cook around here
Ouh we made some good homemade Italian authentic spaghetti sauce with meatballs last night
Also made very very good oatmeal cookies I invented the recipe I best be putting that one on paper cause it went over really good! I guess 6 dozens don't go far with all these people at my house lol
I also have a super good recipe to share for an amazing salad that we made for Tracey's birthday lunch on Friday
We also had made butternut squash pasta and shrimp
It was a great Friday
Can you tell my life is a tad nuts lol
Ouh yes I do love it that way.
Okay friends sorry for being so out of touch but I will get back into the swing I promise
I have made a few crafting goodies just haven't been able to share them with you with my time restraint
So I truly thank you for your patience

Renovations fun times

Gooooddddd mornin
A bit late on the uptake this mornin
Getting there
A little slower today lol
I wanted to be up and going by 2 and I guess I needed another hour of sleep
So up at 3 cleaned kitchen and get another meal ready for tonight's crew
I love making beautiful dinners that the crew enjoys fills my heart with joy
Seems that my cooking is passing inspection lol
That's always good right??? Ha ha
Life around this home has been filled with painting - renovations and a lot of chaos
I thought I was supposed to go to sleep and wake up and it would be all done ( what happened to that idea he he)
Sigh
I have 3 photos to share (on renos)
The progress is a lot slower then I would of ever thought
Rex's bathroom is no where near done
He has cabinet bases that's it

Photo two shows further disruptions as the family room is getting painted
You see this room used to be my office when we first built this house in '99
I had cabinets on the walls and such
When I outgrew that office I put wallpaper over the walls to cover the wall damage
And that wallpaper is all gone now woop woop
So Rex doesn't have a tv room either
He has been a trooper though
The 3rd photo is the living room that Tyler and I had to get ready for the painter (this was last night)
Did I say disruption??
Just a tad uh
The fourth photo is a really neat one
Look at all the geese on our lake
So beautiful i enjoy our view so much and I take my deep yoga breaths as I admire the beauty out the door
Soooooonnnnn the beauty and serenity of my home will be back and I will appreciate that so much
Makes me realize how much my home is my calming zone
I love coming home and putting on PJs on and savour the time with my family
Happy happy
The last photo is one meal example that I have been doing during all this chaos
Did I ever tell you my friends that I also hold a double full time job
I know funny uh
Oh trust me I am further grateful that I have such a rewarding job that I get to work with my family
What more could a girl ask for right?
Thankful for every moment right here right now
And I am thrilled to fine the time to share on my blog with you all
On that note I wish you all super terrific Thursday

home improvement project is complete for Evan's Birthday

Gooooooooooooddddddddddd Morning

it's Monday August 29th, 2011, this means that 21 years ago we were blessed to start our family

with our son Evan Rex!

It feels so weird to me that our son is now 21 years old

but today in 1990 at 4:35 our first child was born

Evan was 5lbs 12 oz at 23 inches long

(I know huge for being so early - Doctor said he would of been a 9lb baby had I carried him to term - hum? - yha I don't think I would of had room for a 9lb baby lol)

it was an emotional day I recall as Evan was 6 1/2 weeks early, so

he was rushed to the NIC at the U of A Hospital

very sad us, and it difficult for me as I had to stay at the hospital he was born at

I felt so many emotions that evening as I layed there

no baby boy in my tummy and no baby boy in my room

although the first few months were difficult, Evan has proven time and time that he is a figther

I love that both of our wonderful kids are strong fighters, how blessed we are

anyways I just had to share this with y'all

oh  Evan I wish you the best birthday ever son-

soooooooooooo yes my friends I finished his frame and I made Evan a card

which I will share the card with you tomorrow

 
I beleive this is where we left off

I put a little bit of journaling on each photo

 
now I was ready to assemble the frame

I made sure that it measured evenly all the way around

My first Friday home improvement design idea - well not quite

Hello friends

it's Friday and goodness I wish I could say it will be a nice relaxing weekend - yha well NOT

lol

I will not even get a PJ day how sad uh? oh well that is life

I have so much planned

lets see Friday night girls night yhippy dinner and movie that's going to so nice

Saturday will be cleaning house and laundry and all that jazz

and finish my boy's project

Saturday night dinner with the family for Evan's 21st birthday

ahw did I say 21??? WHAT 21 - goodness

his real birthday is on Monday

 but he will be working so we are celebrating on Saturday

Sunday we have Annette's group for class

I look forward to seeing the girls & maybe even Darryll on Sunday

Group will start at 12:30!!!!

it's been a week full of events and as I mentioned early in the week I am trying hard

sooooooooooo here we go

I got a big picture frame

and I started playing

took out my new stamp set called gently falling

then my new embossing powder

you see the first photo is Evan about 4 1/2 months old

then we have him doing dishes at 4 yhippy for Evan LOL
the next photo he is 12 years old

that was the year he won track champion in his Junior Dragster

the last photo on here was the year that Rex and I renewed our vows

in Los Cabos Mexico

Evan was 16 years old

so now I will put  a photo of him at 21

now I am sorry I am not done this yet

good thing I am not giving it to him till tomorrow night

I will make sure to be up in the wee hours of the morning to finish up
