Country Morning and Holy Triptych with 2 Challenges

Good Morning - It's Sunday and we get an extra hour of play time today! I am so happy! :) We changed our clocks back today and therefore gained an hour! FABULOUS!

Soooooooooooooooo What did I do this morning! I started with the Stampin 411 challenge and then I decided to do the Color Throwdown challenge - ouh and LeAnne I have to say - yha that was a challenge - thank you so much girl, for making me use 3 colours that I would have NEVER combined together! That is truly what I love about these challenges, makes me step out of my little box! :) I am so grateful to have discoved these, mind you I have to admit, it's new addiction LOL :)

I realize that I used this stamp in my 10 min card - sorry for using it again - but I had mentioned that I really wanted to over stamp on my image - so that is what I did on this fine Sunday morning - ouh I love Sundays - I actually think I am going to stay in my PJ's all day - ouh la la - that would be so fun he he :)  ooops sorry back to my card.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

 

oh - I fergot to show you the challenges.....................

 This is the Stamping 411 card

Sketch for this week - since I have been over using my scallop

punch I decided to use my Lattice die

in my Big Shot................

 

and the very very difficult colour challenge

So lattice(Stampin Up Die # 115958) was not long enough for my image so I scored and folded my paper and then ran it thru my Big Shot

ouh how much better is this?? love it! he he :)

oh I wanted to mention something to all of you! Firstly I want to formerly appologize for my spelling; my mother has pointed out to me a few times now that my spelling is just horrendouce (I know that is spelled wrong too), but what I wanted to share with you is this:

I could easily hit Spell Check - BUT I choose  not too! Wondering why? Firstly I want to say that I am who I am - I am a bad speller - always have been and always will be ( I don't just spell bad - but I say weird funny words that are not pronounced right as well  he he) - I don't really care to give you this false image of who I am - secondly - I am 100% FRENCH and super duper proud of it ( I know I have a Ukrainian last name he he :) My Husband Rex is the Ukrainian LOL - not me) so yha I make spelling errors in adding "e's" or whatever where they should'nt be, I am sorry if this offends anyone, But I hope that maybe with this explanation,  it will make more sense as to WHY I have chosen to NOT hit Spell check! Thank you so much for your continued support and your understanding of me and my BAD spelling LOL :)

Okay back to my card............................... he he sorry about that lol

Whow LeAnne - you are making this hard................... But hey I really really LOVE the challenge!

I won't go into a big explanation of what I did here, cause I did this for my 10 min card and don't

want to bore you with it again

 

 But this is what I did different - after I coloured my angel - I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig with Black Staz On and over stamped her take a look!

isnt that just so cool - all the black lines are alot more prominent - I use My Stampin Up Black Staz On  Alot! it's fabulous!

I am not a huge glue using person - but I have to say that for things like this the Tombo glue is wonderful - I think it has to do with my clutzyness lol 

and there you have it! My card for Stampin 411 and the Color Throwdown!

It is most out of my comfort zone - I have to admit - but it was a blast to make -

I have a close up photo of the beautiful shimmer!

okay I have to go work on my Design for The LNS Group challenge (I am enjoying being part of the design team so very very much - what an amazing oppertunity) so check back tomorrow won't you please to see what the challenge will be? Suspense he he :)

Holy Triptych - 10 min Challenge with Sandi (11.5min he he )

Good Thursday Morning to you!

We have a great treat today.

Sandi and I have a sketch to help you get going on this 10 min challenge.

oh yes I made this on my MDS - my very first try and I see I messed up a little green piece - ouh so sorry! But you get the jiff of it right?? LOL :) I hope you can join us and try this fun sketch!
 

Remember we now have Mister Linky, so you  get to show us what you can do in 10 or 12 min lol  ! Fun uh?? I know I can't wait to see what you create!

okay so I had a hard time getting some colouring done on my "Angel" in 10 min!

oh yha I will show you what I tried, now don't try this ladies, cause, guess what it didn't work.  Don't worry I will show you what I managed to get done in my 10 min........... SHUSH........... 11.5 min he hehe

I originally started with Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Gold

yhap you know it, I changed my mind!

okay my first attempt was with a blender pen and my stamp pads, I used Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede

But I just could not do it fast enough

I don't like it on the sahara sand paper - the colouring took way too long!

Have I ever mentioned to you that I am so not good at this challenge.  That is the reason that Sandi and I do it!  Good thing I am patient he he :)

so then I tried it on Stampin Up Shimmery white, which was okay, still couldn't do it fast enough,

and then I messed it by doing the ugly edging. Trying to hurry and that was not good!

okay I got to do this right.  Now I have a super GREAT idea!

I used my Stampin Up, aqua painter.  I dipped into the All purpose Frost White ink and then mixed it with the ink the lid and oh yha..................... THAT IS PERFECT AND FAST  did I mention fast!!!!

okay let's start over and we can do this now!

this is awesome - I am so happy with the colouring this way!

oh my look at my mess??? okay so the ribbon took me an extra 1 min 30 seconds.

I fiddled around with it for too long. My BAD lol:)

well here it is up close

But to see the beautiful shimmer, you have to see it even more up close.............

oh yes and If I had more time I would of over stamped it so the black lines would be brighter.  I may do this idea again - but not in 10 min LOL :)
