Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne

Holiday Line up along with some Waffle Paper

 
Sooooooo this week I decided to play with something I have not played with much "WAFFLE PAPER"!

what do you all think??

hope you enjoy it as much as I think you may!???

 
I started with the stamp called

Holiday Line up

I first I was going for the gold waffle paper

well you all know me by now I change my mind a lot along the way he he

 
I stamped on watercolour cardstock with Black Staz On

now I will colour watercolour pencils

and a blender pen

 
after I was done colouring I used Smooch to put white in the teeth and the little pompom

 
then I added glitter

I used the fine galaxy glitter

this had become my fav!

 
I created a frame for my cute little raindeers he he

I used pacific blue

 
now this is where I changed my mind

I went with the silver waffle paper instead of the gold!

 
My base I used pacific blue - black and a silver

I also stamped the silver

I used serene snowflake with pacific blue ink

 
and here is my card

I am not sure if this is totally MY STYLE

but that is okay I like trying different things he he

I also did a snowflake out of very vanilla cardstock with a glitter brad

love them!

they are so pretty!

so I used the holiday line up stamp

cause I thought it would be good with these colours

 
I used our colouring pencils that Stampin Up has

I love using these with the blender pen

 
all blended that took a while uh?

lol

Hey I can still pull this off

no more fooling around lol

 
I used the snowflake embossing folder on the Very Vanilla

card stock that I cut

 
then I did all the cutting and I was fast

it was easy cause I did this style of card yesterday

well similar anyways he he

I know my colouring is not at it's best

but yha know for a 15 min card

holiday line up meets inspirational sketch for stampaholics 10 min challenge

 
I created a circle card with the Holiday line up stamp set!

the creation of this card came fromt he card that Sandi, Lee and I tought in Salt Lake City at Convention!

ouh you will love this inspirational challenge this week by Debbie

so here's what I did with this

 
I chose the snowmen for after this thought!

 
I always use staz on when I colour

 
I created circle with my Big Shot remember it's big shot week

I used the smooch to make my snowmen white

looking good but look at the time!

I used the circle scallop #2 on this card

when we did it for convention we use the bigger one

but snowmen just weren't big enough to go into the other one

 
I am getting there but I am almost out of time

 
okay for some greetings I used two

I used two from the Occasional quotes

I barely have 1 min left and don't have ribbon and not adhered ghuhr

 
I used this wondrful ribbon and out of time

 
I used dimensionals on the back for my coloured circle

Holiday Lineup with LNS colour challenge

Good day to you!

Can you beleive that it's only a few days until Christmas - holly cow!

so we were supposed to have a colour challenge on LNS - the colours were

Ruby Red - Green Galore - Chocolate chip and Cameo Coral!

The team has decided to take the week off............. Which is fabulous!

but I had all ready been working on my challenge card.....

soooooooooooooo........... here's what I did with this colour challenge!

now for the stamp set

 
I am going  to create the window

I used square punches to make my three different sized rectangles

 

I just stamped this on scrap to visualize the end look

Can you see where I am going with this one?

then I decided to texture my top card stock

I like this idea

coming along - now got to put some colour to the image

so I used my stamp pads, some shimmer paint and my aqua painter

ouh - have I ever mentioned how much love to colour LOL :)

of course got to put some Crystal Effects lol

now for some window sheets - on put this on the back of my cameo coral card stock on the same layer as my brads and my ribbon

and well are you ready???

there we have it!

a few up close photos - created a few little pearls - no really! HE HE

the shimmer shows nicely on this photo uh??

Punch art - 10 min card - yha right~

Good Friday morning! oh my where has the week gone???

Okay.............. so let me tell you a little something............. Punch art is NOT my thing!! LOL! But wanta see someone who has it down pat???? okay well I will keep that to the end...... Cause otherwise you will laugh your butt off at my attempt to make my 10 min punch art card.

sooooooooooo It is our 10 min Card Challenge! So I am so  sure that my friend Sandi  did a hole lot better then I did with this one!! Goodness! Okay so make sure you go over to her blog at the end of my sad post here, okay?? I am sure she did something really fabulous with her new toys.

 

  Oh yes that is another thing. UPS man (well for us it's Purolator) came yesterday........... Killed me to not play with my new toys....... But I had to finish what I started yesterday morning.....

sooooooo the challenges - here they are. We have a beautiful colour challenge today.

sooooooooo what I was thinking all along was to make a snowman - oh okay well to TRY!!!!

 

so here's my colours............ and some punches - after all it's punch art (oh yhuk wait till you see it - well at least - my non 10 min card is so much better lol)

Everything is FANTASTIK at this point................. times good....

ouh then I remember another challenge that this would work for

so further inspiration

okay we are still good

now things are getting stressfull he he :)

it takes not time to punch stuff - but to put them into the right spot is the issue for me! I used my wripping ruler (Stampin Up Idea Book Page 188) to make the snow idea at the bottom

 

Panick is starting to set in now!

yhap panicking - two issues I have here............ I can't work in this mess and I am running out of time ghuhr................ Oh Sandi I still love you............ he he :) But man oh man girl you got me on this one!

out of time............... oh my goodness........... when will I ever get this 10 min card thing down????

so I am trying to make snow he he:) as if I don't have snow in our yard.. 

We got more snow last night!!!!

okay soooooooo now I just remembered of another challenge

  

so I hated the orange stick parts of my snowmans arms............. he he :)

Got somet toothpicks from the kitchen............ and coloured them and my fingers too he he :)

I cleaned up and I am ready to assembled - I am now 4 1/2 mins passed the 10 min.

and the bad part of this is that after all this my card is so BAD :( I am so sad!

 
yhuk yhuk yhuk  so here it is I am so sorry!

did I mention YHUK!

okay so now I am going to show you what I was trying to make when I realized this card was taking way too long and couldn't pull off a 10 min card with this!!!

now as I promised............. later today I will post my tutorial on how to make the pearls....

I just don't have time to do another post this morning... Sorry........... I will do it after work today! I can't be late today..... I got to install decals this morning on two End Dump Trailers!

you will get a good giggle out of that post - I assure you.

Good Morning!

 Carole'Anne is away, and Liane is here to play!

It is monday 7am, I know I know, I just can't get up at 3am to make cards, I like my sanity! ha ha ha.  I was very happy to find Mojo Skech was already already posted. So I had to pick a stamp set. My goal is to finish my Christmas cards, so every sketch I am going to do is going to be a Christmas set.

So I went with Holiday Line Up. They are always fun to colour. So between this picture and the next alot of amazing things happened, far to exciting for the camera to catch! (ok I was too INTO colouring the card to stop and take pictures, by Wednesday I will do better!) Anyways I coloured the elves, staying in shades of Taken with Teal, I used the Markers for a darker colour, and a blender pen with the ink for the lighter shades.

Now to pick the tag line, what to use what to use? and how to  punch them out. Again a lot of exciting things happened that the camera couldn't capture. But I will recap, I punched them each out with different punches, matted them with other punches that were a bit bigger and picked what I liked best. 

Now I have a problem, I Don't have Taken with Teal ribbon (Does stampin up sell it? I better look that up, because I should get some because taken with teal is my new favorite christmas colour!)  So I thought I better start thinking like Carole'Anne.  Would not haveing the right ribbon stop her? I don't think so!  So I will use my re inker and colour the ribbon.

 ok this worked but did not work well, it coloured the ribbon, but more of a bashful blue. (and I accidently put sugar in the water because I was making a coffee at the same time, What does Carole'Anne call that? A Roza moment?)  At this part of my day I know why Carole'Anne gets up so darn early to make cards, it is to do it alone.  I have four kids ages 13,12,10,8 and my 10 year old is a talker and he was on at full force this morning, talking about what kind of werewolf he would be if he was a werewolf, and he is glad that he isn't going to be ......oh I can't remember but there was a lot of detail in his story! Yikes!

 

Ok Sandi you better tell my why my font keeps changing as I write this blog, it is making me crazy!  Ok focus Liane!  Ok so my colouring of the ribbon didn't work out, but I must think like Carole'Anne.......Ok bring out the finger dauber and my ink pad.  Ah much better, I should have tried this out first.

 

Look how nice THAT worked!  Good girl Liane! (that is what Carole'Anne would say to me!)  Notice the darker part on the left side of the ribbon, that was me trying to apply reinker right on the ribbon, WAY too dark!

 
 
 So there we have it. My mojo 108!  The red of their shirts looks a lot darker in the photo then in real life. It is coloured in ruby red.  Well there we go, my first blog!  I did it!  Now I need more coffee!  Have a great day!
 
 
 

Diva Coffee Break Design # 146 with my new chalk technique

Good morning y'all!

It's Thursday, and it's fall time here in Alberta, mind you yesterday, we had a record breaking temperature day.  It was beautifully hot!

This morning I worked with Diva Cofee Break Design here's what I decided to do, as you know yesterday I created a new technique using chalks.  I really wanted to master this new way to use my chalks!

Soooooooooooooooo this morning I feel I did that.  

soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo HERE WE GO!!!

The colours were chosen for me, so one step up right.

Silly me though I used white instead of very vanilla.................

 no worries - I fixed it up LOL :)
redid it on Very vanilla

ah - there we go - I stamped with black staz on and then used my new beautiful shimmery chalk creation!

Adding some more  little details with the Stampin' Write markers

I thought more shimmer would be nice HE HE :) I did all the pom poms!

This additional technique I viewed on your Tube last night, however I wanted to use ALL STAMPIN UP!

So to addapt, I used a one of the textured plates, I inked it up, I did direct ink pad to the plate, but I thought it was too dark, here's the way it looked................

But like I said - just toooooooo dark, see

For my design today it was just too dark ....................

I decided to try the dabber instead

See here is the results - much better for this card.....................

Alright - we are on track this morning! ouh I am thrilled :)

I rounded all the corners..................

Then the ribbon issue.................

I just could not come up with the perfect ribbon! so I decided to colour in the ribbon, in the center of this ribbon it's old olive but I needed it to be Bermuda Bay..............

Nice uh?

I wanted to add some nice Vanilla HodgePodge hardware, how perfect would that be with this card uh>?

Chalks - a new technique by Carole'Anne

Good day!

This morning I was really happy to be creating something new for you!

Something that I beleive is NEW!

I was watching some video's last night and seen an idea that sparked my interest.

they used a blending medium for chalk.

Sooooooooooooo my thought was, what could I use to make this with Stampin Up Products!

Let's get started!

choosing colours first!

thinking about stamps -  but this won't work -

I beleive I am on my way - I used the Lunch time sketch design for the lay out of this card

here is the skecth!

Chalks were my first step - since this is ofcourse my technique! ( thank you Mary Jo for the the little push to take this out again)  HE HE :)
I took a piece of the chalk of the desired colour, and I grated it that little piece into a round paint dish.

But get this, I put the new shimmery paint in the dish first.................. ouh are you going where I am going???

I did several colours

Now I have a beautiful paint medium to use (and it's all Stampin Up!)  - it's shimmery and it matches all sorts of card stock because the chalks  have 51 different colours, such a great selection.

I like that I have complete control with a paint brush or using an aqua painter!

so now I can go in and easily add shadows and such, all I did was darken this colour with black...................

adding the shadows.............. TIP: if the paint mixture is getting a little thick, all I did was add a little water to it - and voila!

so just to add  a little more - I put Crystal effects on the eyes and the noses.  What I find easier then squeezing it out of the bottle is, using my stylus.  I sqeezed  a little amount on a scrap piece of paper, which I am sure you have LOL - and I load up the end of my stylus with the crystal effects and then just dab in the desired area!

Keep in mind that this was my first ever attempt at making a card with this technique created by me with that Shimmery Paint.............. having said that I hope to make an even better card tomorrow! :)

So here's where  I thought things were going good right..................

That is until my marker slipped off the edge of my coloured card stock and made  a BIG  RED MARK, did I mention a BIG RED MARK??? Take a look at this................. I am such a dork! LOL :)

oh my - can you beleive it, and I am at the assembly stage - I do not have time to redo it now, cause I got to go to work :(

Let me see what can do???

well NOT perfect - but it will just have to do for today - SAD :(

Oh well my mom always told me told  "dont cry over spilled milk", or should I say "BIG RED MARK"! HE HE

did you know that you can punch a hole right thru the ribbon with the Cropadile!?

 I added dimentionals on the back of my circle to pop up the Red nose raindeer!

here we go - I know its really hard to see the shimmer in it, but in real life it's so shimmery, except for my BLOB - oops :) - I am sad that it is less then perfect, however, I am only human - and maybe just maybe tomorrow I will not have an big OOPS !! HE HE
