Turned into a Shimmery Fall Card

good day

sorry I did not blog this weekend - Had a bit a panic attack when I read the email saying my Royal Blog Tour project had to be uploaded by Friday!

yha I had not even started sooooooooooooo I am still hard at it

almost there but not quite!

I wanted to make a fall card today since tomorrow is Christmas!

 
I started with stamps

and ended only using two

 
oh then I took out all these stamp pads

 
I sponged

 
I over stamped with river rock with the background stamp

 
I used more mustard cardstock

and I die cut these beautiful leaves with Mr. Big Shot

 
I sponged my leaves

 
then I stamped some leaves - sponged and cut out

 
ready for a greeting now

 
here is my greeting and lots of layers

 
now for some ribbons

I sponged two ribbons I wanted it look more like my background

I used two colours

on Very Vanilla ribbon

More mustard and river rock

 
voila here is my shimmery fall card

at the very end I sprayed the entire card with shimmer spray that I made with

Alcohol and Champage Mist shimmer

 
I added a brad and a little piece of left over ribbon

 
beautiful Ribbon

French Foliage & Sandi's tutorial

 
good day y'all - I have something really cool to share with you I did Sandi's Tutorial - but I used FRENCH FOLIAGE!

how cool is that????

sooooooo our Sandi used the Bell's & Bough's stamp set and she created an entire Christmas set

take a look at this

After I got her tutorial

this is what I did with mine!

first let me show you this

 
these all the projects

I took each instructions sheet

and I used a different stamp

I turned something that looked like a Christmas theme

into a fall theme

I used the French Foliage Stamp set from the
Stampin Up Holiday Mini

catalogue

now I tried to photograph it as good as my sis he he

 
kinda cool uh?

would you beleive that the DSP is

Bells & Boughs

but I never used it as Christmas DSP

I think it's different but yet I still followed her exact instructions!

lovely as a tree along with French Foliage Darrell's birthdya card

Birthday card - manly for Darrell with Lovely as a tree, French Foliage and Leaf Lines from Stampin Up!

oh my goodness - happened again

I was done my post and typepad crashed - for some reason it don't auto save anymore and so I have to start over!

anyways onto what I did this morning

I made a card for our special friend Darrell - I really hope he likes it!

 
got my stamp sets out and ready to make a card

 
I used the Stampin Up Woodgrain background stamp

I stamed with Always artichoke on very vanilla

other inks that I used

Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Crumb Cake

 
I stamped all the leaves!

 
now alot of ditressing happenned on this card

you see Darrell loves distressed cards

so ofcourse I had to go over the top with this one

 
I stamped the trees with Black Staz On on Very Vanilla

and then I used my Stampin Up Chalks

love'm!

 
I used a greeting but I moved it from the botoom

this is what the card ended up looking like

I sure do hope he likes it!

 
and voila

I finished the inside as well

but with the misfortune that has gone down with my business we could not do a trip

but we will still do something special that day since she has the day off

soooooooooo the office will be closed and I will enjoy my day with my daughter!

sooooooo only three more days of work and a long weekend here in Canada!

French Foliage new technique with All Stampin Up Products

French foliage with blended colouring technique

oh my goodness good morning

would you beleive I started this post at 4:00am - and it deleted the entire thing at 5:55am!

so now I am starting over!

Gooooooooooooodddddddddddddddd MOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNIGGGGGG  lol

 
so I started with my pencils

and I then stamped with crumb cake on watercolouring cardstock

 
I added several layers of colouring I started with orange

 
then I used the yellows and some greens a little red

to get this after I blended with my blender pen and aquapainter

 
I also outlined with my stampin write marker

and then I chose a greeting

 
then I embossed this greeting

oh yes

the name of this set is:

"full of Life"

it is on page 152

a little always artichoke seam binding and beautiful lace!

I love these

thank you Stampin Up for these wonderful pearls

I used three different ribbons

I used Very Vanilla Satin ribbon, the new Cherry Cobbler Seam Binder and the little

Early Expresso ribbon!

now I want to show you all the different cards I made with this new technique


each card is a little different

some are clean cup and some are very very distressed

but each card was made with the Petroleum Jelly technique

I will be using this technique in my class on

French Foliage with Waffle paper

Stampin Up Waffle paper along with the French Foliage Stamp

and with tha I created my first fall card!

so a few days ago I created this background paper

it's kinda cool looking - but I did not do a step by step!

I may yet but I haven't I know my bad sorry!

 
I also stample some waffle paper

cool uh?

oh yes and I sponged a bit of ink on that waffle paper as well!

 
I then stamped extra leaves

I want to cut them out to put them on my card

okay I got so carried away here that I totally fergot to take photos of what I was doing

sorry guys!

Cherry Cobbler

Confetti White

and the Waffle paper was gold

 
you can see the waffle paper here and the leaves that I cut out as well

 
I got to use the little pin from the vintage brads cute uh?

I have something that I want to share with y'all

so today would of been my parents wedding anniversary

although my dad passed away in Dec. of 2001, I can't pass the day

without thinking about them

so I wanted to show you their wedding photo

sorry I took a photo of the photo that is in a picture frame!

 
here is my mom and dad on their wedding day!

I beleive that it would of been 48 years

I think that is right?? or is it 47 mom help me out here!

anyways I just had to share this beautiful photo of this very special day with you
