Ever After with Colour Throwdown and Mojo Monday

Hi to y'all (that's for my southern friend)

hope you are fabulous on this fine Saturday morning!

soooooooo today I am going to show you another way to use that wonderful shimmer paint

the card I created falls into three challenges - whowzers uh???
the first is the Colour Throwdown

the second is Mojo Monday

and last but not least is the Late Night Stampers Valentine challenge

soooooooooooo let's get started

 
As my neutral I used shimmery white card stock

I cut my card stock to 6'' x 6''

then I added a few layers

I punched the razzleberry edge

ready to stamp and shimmer

 

so I used my stamp pad, a dabber and the beautiful shimmer paint

I inked up my stamp

 

with Razzleberry

then I took one of my dabbers

I kinda insert the dabber right at the end of the opening of the shimmer little bottle

then I shake

thren I dab off a little ink before I start dabbing on my stamp

 
 now you can dab on your inked stamp

Note: I always huff on it before I stamp 

 

now stamp your image

and voila look at this shimmer

aint it just beautiful??

loving it

okay now for some ribbon

 

I coloured the white satin ribbon with my mellow moss marker

 
I love the ribbon okay so this is a better card then yesterday!

now for some brads - I also stamped the greeting and used three different circle punches

It took me forever to post this today he he too many distractions!

Ever After and Charmed - 10 min challenge with Sandi

This is my second post of the morning - goodness I have been going hard!

so this is the 10 minute card challenge with my blogging Buddy and partner in this challenge `SANDI` - so at the end of this most - please make sure to click on her link and check out what she has in store for us today! - Ya know it will be GREAT - cause she if FABULOUS! Too bad I am in Alberta and she is Oregan - sad - it seems that my private jet is never available LOL - yhar right only in my dreams! LOL :)

so I started with the sketch that I created -

okay now for my sketch sorry about that!

 

I set up my timer and my stamp sets

 

ready to go!

I have all my paper cut for the front and I STAMPED in old olive with my Charmed stamp set

 

I also edge just a little with Chocolate chip - didnt have time to to do much - cause look at that timer!

 

oh my goodness - I have to assemble now

he he - I was so stressing that I fergot to take a photo of me punching out the `Love`and the chocolate chip - but I did use my 1 1/4 " punch for that!

I didn`t have time to dye my ribbon so I had to use white -

 on my card just before this post I used Very Vanilla card stock -

but because I knew that I had to do this card in 10 min. I used Shimmery white - so the White Satin Ribbon would work! ( had tried the Old Olive but I didnt care for it so much)

 

time is up and don`t have my pearls on GHURH! 

 

VOILA here is my 10 min card okay okay sorry - I have to admit 11.5 min.  - had to add my little pearls

Ever after & Charming - Valentines day card!

good Thursday morning

today is Sandi and I's 10 min card challenge

But I actually started with this card, and tonned it down to make it 10 minutes - I know backwards. 

 he he!

I started with two things -

our sketch- which I created on my MDS (this is a new Digital program that Stampin Up has recently introduced)

then I used Colour Throwdown challenge

These colours I was really comfortable with - so it was FUN!

I started with my stamp set - "Ever After" I think this set is so beautiful

it's in the Stampin Up Idea Book on page 50

I also grabbed some Velum - I know haven't used velum in so long!

That you can find on Page 159 it comes in different weights - today I used the paper weight

then I stamped - okay I should say I TRIED very very hard to stamp

Ever noticed that I am bit of Perfectionist HE HE :) ouh I bet that is not an observation that you have made uh??  LOL

okay my plan was to have the very edge of the heart be in shimmery paint - then chocolate chip and then the real red in the center

it took me a few tries

I used my dabbers to apply the shimmery paint and my ink

just when I got it stamped correctly - I cut out the heart - and I didnt like it he he

so I stamped it again - I decided that I would just do the heart on a rectangular piece instead

okay I am on my way to get this card done

goodness now you can tell why this took me more then 10 min LOL :)

I stamped the Love stamp and I punched it out with my 1 1/4'' square punch

not too bad uh? I got to play around with my Pretties kit - the broach that I made here is all supplies from the Pretties Kit - in the Stampin UP Idea Book on Page 178

I stamped the red with the cute little words from The Charming Stamp set

this set was featured in the Mini!

I also used my dabber with chocolate chip to darken all the edges - I wanted to create the illusion that the card stock was DARK RED as per the Challenge

now to thow in a little tutorial

My NC Friend Janet was MIA for a while and she was real sad cause she missed the Ribbon tutorial - so

Janet this is for you my friend - and MAX says a big WOOF to Savanah this morning! He also sends a HUGE wet puppy kiss he he

okay so I labelled everything here

With you marker sorta flat up against the ribbon - take long stroke back and forth along the ribbon, try not to keep in the marker in one place - this will cause you to have darker spots.

Turn  your ribbon over and do the same thing on the other side

This is the important part - let the ribbon sit for like a min. or two. No longer

Then take a WET BABY WIPE - Hold the ribbon in between the wipe and run it thru!

and Voila - you do this as many times as you want - what I find is that it takes away any inperfections.

There you have it!

have fun making all sorts of colours of ribbon - I made real red and chocolate chip for this card

BACK TO MY CARD

 

on my punched "love" I added some cardstock to add layers - no really I did he he:)

then I added dimenionals to make it a little higher

For the pearls (came from the Pretties kit) I used my little glue dots - which fit PREFECTLY by the way

this is the way I adhere them!

 

and here is the Valentine`s day card - to pay tribute to my DAD!!!!

I wish he was here! he is missed very much!

Up close - so you see the shimmer on this  Valentines day card -

okay and for those of you thinking I am CRAZY to be doing Valentines day card in November, you may not have read my post from yesterday, he he ;)

so if you go back to yesterday`s post - this may make sense LOL `:)

kinda a cool little story to go along with it as well!
