Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne

Sweet Floral kissing En Francais now that is some Stampin technique

Good morning 

whow It's Thursday all ready

I cannot beleive that a weekend is around the corner

I guess time flies when you are having fun he he

I finished one of the cards with the Kissing with a twist technique

I am not overly thrilled with it

I won't lie its not the best work I have done 

sigh

oh well perhaps the other 4 cards that need doing by Sunday will be much better

here's to hoping anyway hehe

but it's interesting anyways that is for sure

so let me share what I did

after I did some stamp kissing 

which I used 3 stamps my base was sweet floral stamped in so saffron

then I kissed with woodgrain in pumpkin pie

and after that I over stamped with En Francais in Always artichoke

I stamped and sponged the background

did a fair amount of cutting and fiddling around he he

some details 

and then I really still did not like it

soooooo this is what I ended up with

again not 100% thrilled 

so I added layers of flowers and such

just to add more interest to the card

I know it's different

I am not saying it's fabulous

none the less I enjoy my time in my craft room

I was here to finish up this card at 2:45am this morning

I have another busy day at work which will follow by Yoga for Strenght at 5:30 with my two favorite girls woop woop

tomorrow I'll be in safety training so I will not be able to post

I hope you all understand

I will however be back on Saturday with another card that I need to have done

I have so many birthdays from now till end of October

so I gotta get a better groove on 

don' t you all think

Artistic Etching thank you card

 
I created Liane's Thank you Card with THE Artistic Etching Stamp set!

hello everyone

hope your week has been a GREAT one!

I can't believe it's Thursday - I have had a tone of running around this week and I am so happy that I get to stay in the office ALL day today

soooooooooooo onto Liane's card that I made her

I used the same set and theme that she did for my gift and card

kinda a cool uh?

 
I started with my stamp sets all from Stampin Up

then I created a mask

 
I stamped the tower onto a sticky note pad

 
then I cut the sticky note pade tower

and I placed it over my stamped image

I used Black Staz on

on Very Vanilla

 
I used En Fraicais here to stamp the background

 
looking pretty uh?

I used some DSP and not quite navy

I stamped with Early Espresso (En Francais) - also sponged the edges a bit

 

then I used the same En Francais background stamp

and I stamped my not quite navy cardstock

now into the big shot with embossing folder

 
now for a greeting

 
I used the scallop oval punch for my greeting

 
I created a beautiful rose bud

which I learned how to do from Sandi's wonderful tutorial

I sprayed it with an acohol shimmer spray

and put a beautiful brad in the center

 
okay a few more details and Liane's card will done

 
voila here is another thank you card

I used the lace on the bottom that is the

Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalogue

 
up close to the texture and sponging also at the shimmer

 
up close to the wonderful rossette

 
the greeting

I decided to make the Mojo Monday card with this technique!

bottom of this card

okay so my colours for this card

Cherry cobbler Early Expresso

look at all the pearls

I love these

thank you Stampin Up for these wonderful pearls

I used three different ribbons

I used Very Vanilla Satin ribbon, the new Cherry Cobbler Seam Binder and the little

Early Expresso ribbon!

now I want to show you all the different cards I made with this new technique


each card is a little different

some are clean cup and some are very very distressed

but each card was made with the Petroleum Jelly technique

Elements of Style & Very vintage Wheel

Hello my blogging friends!

this morning I have a card that continues with my

Collage Theme

I used several stamps on this one!

the first was the elements of style

then I used the Very Vintage Wheel

as well as En Francais background Stamp

my colours are

More Mustard

Marine Mist

Eraly Expresso and Black!

so let see what happened when I started to play!

so I played around with a technique that I watched on video

but ofcourse I used all

Stampin Up Products

I used a Teflon Sheet to begin

 

then I take out my stamp pads

 

put your stamp pad right onto the Teflon sheet and swipe it across

 

can you see the ink?

 

then I sprayed with water at first

and then the smooch

 

can you see it beading up

now grab a piece of carstock

I used very vanilla

and start playing around

I tried a bunch of stuff

the other thing I used was shimmer spray instead of water

 

then you can either smooth it around or just pull it off

you can go back down in areas that you feel needs more ink

 

aint it pretty

   so I stamped the one piece with En Francais and inked up the edges

 

now for stampin

 

I coloured the flowers

notice that I did not do spend a bunch of time on them cause I am going to ink up a sponge 

right away you'll see he he

 

I used a greeting from the stamp set called

Occasionals Quotes

I wheel the edge with my Very Vintage Wheel

 

it's coming together nicely

 

I embossed the words

" Front the heart over the little rectangle (with the En Francais background)

I added a bit of bling and did the humming bird

 

I coloured some beautiful ribbon

so are you ready to see what my card looks like?

very different from yesterday

but still the same theme

kinda cool uh?

I think I like this idea and seems that you do too??

En Francais background stamp turns into a thank you card

Good y'all

It's almost the weekend!

we will have another busy one this weekend - Renee has a cheer competition in The City this weekend and we are signed up to volunteer............... Should be a good busy weekend! Fun Stuff uh?

But for today my friend I am working on a card! I have several thank you cards that I am excited to make!!!! So this card I made for Darrell............. Let me explain.............

When Evan and Darrell made the big breakfast on Sunday Darrell just fell in love with my old looking card that I had made last weekend!

sooooooo I thought I would make his card that way!

ouh yes I made it old looking all right!

I am not totally SOLD on it and I redid a few things on this card along the way!

but it's done and I hope you like what I did!

here we go!

my orginal though was to use the Mojo Monday sketch with a tag and a butterfly

but that was not manly enough and besides I did a tag last time

soooooo you guessed it I changed my mind

ouh I know I am so crazy that way 

I changed my mind so many times

 
then my thought was to try and make it look like a little stack of letters being sent 

so I was gong to try and stack some card stock to make it look like it was a few letters

the old style - they would wrap it with a string!

okay well my first attempt was a BIG FAT fail

he he

but hey do I ever give up??

nope not so much LOL

sooooooooo I decided to take an actual envelope and make it look like it came from the 30's

so I did that and did a wax impression in the corner

I also tried my hand at calligraphy

may of worked better if I actually had a calligraphy pen he he

this looks old uh?

I did a lot of edging!

did I mention I did alot of edging LOL

so my one envelope looks okay okay

but I am still not really happy with it

so I stamped it with the Sanded background stamp and made it look even older

I also added another little envelope underneath it!

ouh la la then I pulled out a Christmas stamp

I know I am CRAZY LOL

 A Christmas stamp in April he he

but remember I am making this look like a letter right??? that was mailed he he

sooooooooo you bet I pulled out 

Winter Post - Stampin Up Stamp I love this stamp!

okay so now I have two enveloppes and I have alot of torn edges and burned ones too he he

without incident

whow that is super good uh??? LOL
the ribbon I really liked again was just not manly enough

 
ouh yes now for some pages out of a book

I tore up and inked up

this is a good stress releaver uh?

just have fun and tare away!

created  a little tag with the words 

"thanks"

what do you think?
I am actually not sold on it

but I do think that Darrell will like it

cause it has alot of the elements that he liked from my other card!

oh well I chalk it up for experience right?

I had to take several photos up close

cause it's hard to take in all the little details that I put into this card

I aged a kraft cordoroy button

and since in July they will retire this colour I better use up my kraft stock uh?

here you can see the second envelope that I added

these are the layers and the ribbon

the little tag that I created 

I embossed the Thanks and I put an eyelet with a ribbon

Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencils turns vintage?

gooooooood Morning Vietnam oops wrong!!!! LOL

Made me think of Robin Williams oh goodness I am aging myself I should quit while I am a ahead of it! lol

sooooooooooo this morning I went Vintage I know me Vintage

I beleive I have said that I am worried that I am only doing one style of work and I don't want y'all to be bored rigth???
