Good Monday Morning!

We are back from a wonderful 36 hour get away to Calgary

we had such a good time and we have everything for Grad now - even a dress for ME lol!

phew!

Renee and I also decided that we would make her flowers - instead of bying them

so we will be working on that in the next week

then will come the pedicure and we need our nails done lol

in between all the excitment we will have a very very busy work week

fun stuff uh?

ouh and when I got home I was blessed with a completly CLEANED house

OH MY goodness if you only knew how much that means to me

thank you Rex, Evan and Kayla!

totally the best I tell you

and Evan's floor is fabulous (he did the painting in his room then they did the most amazing hardwood floors) oh after that Rex also did hardwood floors in my bathroom

what a difference that made!

all right sorry enough blah blah

it was just a wonderful weekend - and it felt fabulous to take a REAL break

thank you Chikie for the get away and the wonderful breakfast treat!

onto my card!

 
oh and to for warn you

I did alot of mind changing on this one my friends

lol

 
I started with pretty in pink card stock and stamped the image twice

then I used bleach to colour the flowers

 
okay then I was not sure if I liked it

so I moved onto a new idea!

 
then I used my gel pen

onto the pink and cut the velum flowers

not too bad!

 
now I have to different looks

he he thinking

 
hum now trying something yet again

did I mention I changed my mind alot during these cards lol

 
I created two circles and scallop punched circles

I used one with black DSP

and one with Early Espresso DSP

 
I used my lattice die and I also embossed my white piece of cardstock

I used my Big Shot alot on this one uh?

 
I tried black satin ribbon and still not 100% happy with the flowers

hey can you see I changed the circle too lol

 
okay the black just was not cutting it

so went with pink ribbon instead

still not super happy with flowers lol

 
okay this is coming along now

layers and ribbon looking not bad he he

 
I also did some cute little tags

I used the tiny tags stamp set and I used the new Bakers Twine

the white one

on Page 10

of the NEW Stampin Up Mini Summer Catalogue

you can see that I ended up cutting each flower out

I used the pink one and overlayed them with velum

 
voila my first of two cards for this set

oh yes I used 5 stamp sets for this card lol

I was given the MOST beautiful gift and I took inspiration from this and made

Wanda a card!

would like to see what I did??

okay so I started with this beauty!

 
gorgeous uh?

and Wanda had filled it to the rim with beautiful gifts

she is so sweet

and the girls took me out for lunch on Wed. to the Loft at Sandy View Farms

in Spruce Grove

OMGoodness so super yhummy!

okay back to the card

 
took the first set

started thinking about what I was going to create

 
I always like to place my stampe as to the location I am thinking of stampin

I cut up some DSP

newsprint stampin up ofcourse

 
then I took out another stamp set

I used the baroque motifs and Easter Blossom as well

I know I just had to make this the SAME as the beautiful container lol

 
see I stamped the branches for the bird to sit on with the easter blossom set

 
then I finally stamped the bird he he

and cut him out

created a few flowers

there were roses on the container

 
did some sponging then took another stamp set out lol

this one is for the roses to sit on

it's called Message for Mom

 

okay now I think I am ready to layer this card

I used more DSP

 

all right layers are in place

let's finish the last details

added a pretty little charm

 
then I did several dimentions to add alot depth to the card

 
and voila my card

Easter blossom continues with a little science project

good day it's the day before we leave for LA

yhap I am going crazy - but that is normal in my life lol

but I am managing to pull together a post for you!

although last night was a late night with an extra long practice at Cheer for Renee!

fun Stuff the pressure mounts lol

 

this one is very different from the card on Tuesday

I am still not sure if I love it

I do like it

but LOVE I dont know LOL
 
I used watercolour cardstock and stamped with Black Staz on

I coloured my blossoms with a blender pen and the stampin up classic ink pads

I layered

 
okay then I tried something a bit different

I took the sticky sheets

and I put right over my image

and then I put a sheet of bounce (drysheets) right over top

 
ouh and then I poured on some Crystal Effects

I know I am CRAZY lol

 
okay it's all spread around now

hum?

 
then once it was dry I sponged and re did more layers

 
then went back and forth as to add flowers or not he he

 
and voila

flowers are in and a little bow and some cute little pearls

do you like?

Easter Blossoms - celebrating sping a little early

 
Hello everyone today I am starting a spring themed week

I am late posting today

I headed into work early and although I was up and going at 2:40am it seems like I am all ready behind!

it always happens when I try to get ready to leave he he

so I am playing with the Easter Blossoms stamp this week

 
took out the stamp

and let me tell you I am not sure if it was the way I was feeling yesterday

but boy oh boy I struggled with making these cards

so I really do hope you like the 3 different cards that I ended up with!

 
I began with the framed scallop die

oh don't worry I did not keep it lol

did I mention I did not like this lol

 
so onto a new thought

I stamped the cute little girl and I sponged

 
then I thought maybe the tulip embossing folder would look good

so into the Mr. Big shot it went then

did a little sponging

 

all right I think I am feeling a bit better about this one

Easter Blossoms for a farewell card

 
 
Good morning my friends

sorry I have been missing in action!

it's been a crazy time of year - not used to doing Christmas the traditional way

we are usually celebrating on a beach -

we had a wonderful weekend filled with lot's of visiting cooking cleaning and just plain fun!

the last couple days I have been under the weather

I have managed to work thru it but been dragging myself around

he he

today is better and I have a little post to share with you!

I created this card with the new set that is coming available in the

Stampin Up Mini~

it's called Easter Blossoms

I made this card for Liane (who used to work for me and left on Wed)

 
I also used the butterfly die

 
 I  stamped on watercolour cardstock

with black versamark

 

 

and I cut the flowers in the front

I created the inside panels

 
then I did several butteflies

 
 
take a look - I used alot of new goodies

like the little flowers

cute uh
I added several little pearls and used the NEW seam binding as well
