Delightful Decorations in pinks!!

Good Tuesday morning!

Well I am still freezing here in Stony Plain, Alberta  BHURH!!!!

but at least I have a very warm and cozy craft room!

I have another non tradional Christmas card for you this mornig for our LNS challenge #50

 

I also used the Card Patterns Sketch,

 

I wanted to go with Pinks today!

so I used Pretty in pink, Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla and pretty new DP!

I went with Delightful Decorations stamp set

I was going to put some Bermuda Bay - but...............

I didn't like it so much! so no Bermuda bay

I stamped a few of the ornaments - and poundered!

hum thinking!??????

the more I looked at the designer paper the more I was thinking - flower punch - I know flowers and Christmas - hey why not he he :)

look at this - how cool uh? So the little flower designs on the Designer paper - fits perfect in this punch! how cool??? I love it when I discover these things - he he :) Oh goodness I get so excited over the little things LOL :)

I punched out the ornaments with my ornament punch 0h and I wanted to matt them with my ornament die - but silly me I got carried away with my silver cord -

 duh moment - so no matt he he :)

snowflakes and flowers - CRAZY he he :)

I inked the edges with my melon mambo ink and a dabber

then I just had to mess up - this stamp was NOT cleaned last time it was used he he :) -

so I ended up with some funky colour stamped on the inside of my card -

 good one Carole'Anne!

inside re-done. I rounded all corners on this card

and well here we go

up close of the little flowers - this time I used the silver shimmer paint to make my little pearls instead of champagne - it suited the card way better

the snow flake and bling brad up close

Hodgepodge hardware upclose (from the Stampin Up Idea Book Page 178) I used the Clear Rhinestone Brads in this instead of the silver one - they are on Page 179 - Bling Bling he he :)

and voila my friends.............. here is another non traditional Christmas card.

Delightful Decorations & Baroque Motifs

Good day to y`all! Ouh yes, can you beleive it`s Friday - oh my, I am not sure where the third week

of November has gone!

So today I have a Christmas card for you- since the last few days, I have focused on The LNS challenge I thought I would do a few different challenges.

I found a new blog that has some cool sketches. So I thought I would try to do their sketch, but I wanted to try and include the Diva Colour challenge

so here we go!

and now for the new challenge

so I started with these colours - I know YHIKES UH?

 

oh but first I need to share a little card that was left on my desk when I walked in here at 2:45am! -

This is from Renée ,my 16 year old daughter - AHW how blessed I am to have her - she is so special - just had to share with you!

okay sorry about that - I just had to show you that cute little card from my Renée!

 

I was going to use my new snowmen from hostess set level 3

But you know how those things go! HE HE

 I

I went with the Flock paper from the Christmas cocoa Designer paper - LOVE this paper

 

I used my big shot to make the ornament - this one is slightly bigger then the punch -

so I thought this would be a perfect that way I to layer the ornament - cause I love layers -

no really do! HE HE TEE TEE(this is a new one it`s for you Liane LOL)

 

so I punched my ornament next - This punch was featured in the mini

Before I stamped on my circle I drew the circle on scrap paper and tried a few different things - I hate to waste card stock you know!

 

I Used my markers to colour in the different words

 

oh my goodness - what a mess!

okay got do some cleaning up - before I go any further! YHIKES

 

Adding some pretty pearls from the Pretties Kit!

 

and a Ribbon

okay now I think things are good right?

Well that is until I mess up - I know SAD but true :(

 

my plan was to put Stampin Up Crysta Effects on the little dots in my ornament and then add my shimmer paint

yha well that was not a soooooo good!

look what I did - I did a big boo boo 

I ended up getting shimmery paint on the circle as well

and tried to fix it

 

sooooooooooo yha I REDID THE CIRLCE AND THE ORNAMENT

Can you beleive it?

 

okay I will redo

Oh It's Friday! Triple Challenge day for Carole'Anne with the "Delightful Decorations"

oh I cannot beleive it's Friday all ready, where has the week gone?

I'll tell you, keeping up to these challenges, is a "Challenge" HE HE!

I beleive I maybe a little addicted! LOL :)

So the three challenges that I incorporated in this card are as follows:

SPCC - colour Challenge #17 - These colours were super duper different for ME :)

But I did it............... somehow's I did!

then to add to the mix I thought whow I could so do the take it to the top challenge with these colours, because I can CASE the card in the Holiday Mini, on Page 24, and oh yes take it to the top!

Sorry, that the photo is yhuky............... I took it from the Mini!

Now for the third challenge........... I know I have way too much fun with this don't I? SORRY! I just think it's just such a blast, who knew that doing challenge would be so amusing!

My third challenge was Gretchen's challenge sketch, which just so happen to work so well for this!

Now for my card making............... Now that you have all the Challenge details HE HE :)

No brainer - colour - no brainer - stamp set............... LOL
but I did add that beautiful flock paper that is the Christmas cocoa deisgner paper!

so my thought was that I need to have a top note, right? For Gretchen's Challenge. However I really wanted to make the card a non standard size, please don't ask me why HE HE LOL :) I don't know I am just silly! I like to mix things up, I guess! :)

So having said that the top note would not be long enough! Well then, check out what I did HE HE :)
ouh! Yha! I folded the card stock - but notice that i didnt place it right at the half mark!  You can kinda decide how long you want to extend your piece.  Make sense?? ? don't worry I have another photo for you! LOL

how cool is that!

okay so now I want to add another piece inside.......... This is going to be the Red flock - I love that paper....

But I failed at my first attempt - see how it didn't line up. I redid it, and oh yes, much better

my tip to you, make sure you measure your score (fold) mark correctly, cause yha, that's what I did Wrong! HE HE :)

I Love it! to this point anyways! I think I started not be so in love with it, once I had to add so saffron! HE HE :) But, it's the Challenge, and yes I am going to do it! :)

 
 I used the die's for the ornament - in real red. I love using this die, (that is after I got my sandwich right)

After I stamped my ornaments with the "Delightful Decorations" stamp set. I punched them out with the Ornament Punch and then Punched the center of the one with a circle punch.

with the die - in red it makes a really nice matt, then punched with the ornament punch!

I am still liking it!

 Then I used these beautiful Silver rubons!

oh, and can you tell that this is NOT a 10 min Card?

What next?

 oh yes, the point that I am not so in love with it anymore! LOL :)

ouh Yhikes................. What ribbon??? I do like the little Silver Elastic Cord around the top of each ornament! Adorable - can't take the credit though, cause remember, that's on the card on Page 24?

 white ribbon it is.

Well here is the final card..............................

well it sure is different uh?

a Little Bling was added!

Yha, I know! It's not the most amazing card! But Hey, I tell you, I did have fun!

always have fun making cards.

I am late posting it, because my Lap Top is very sick and will need medical attention! Sad, but true!

New lap top should arrive today! Finger's crossed and then tomorrow morning I can be back on schedule.
