Ten Minute Challenge with the Project Tuesday Lip Balm Holder

Good day to you my blogging friends

I hope This Friday finds you all well and that you have all had a wonderful week!

It's hard to beleive that in matter of week or so I will be enjoying the Stampin Up Convention!

We have been working really hard to create fun and exciting Swap items!

I look forward to meeting some of you and swapping with you! It's going to such a wonderful time

I get to spend time with my fabulous Sis - Sandi (yhahooooooooooooo - and Madame Vilaine and Mr. Nasty have a huge announcement to make during convention week, so you will have to come back and check it out!)

so I was looking for another challenge to do this week

and I thought

whow I have not done a Project Tuesday Challenge in forever

I just love what they have for us over there

so I went over and had a little visit and found out that the challenge was a lip balm holder!

cool uh? I have never made one of these

I had fun with it 

although I went over time GHUHR :-)

so now for our wonderful colour challenge

here is the colour challenge

soooooooooooo...................... anyways let's play!

I started with Real Red

 

and Yes Mr. Big Shot and some Texture

I was trying to decide which one I liked best!???

 I used a plate and folder!

then I rubbed Versamark all over the card stock

 
and covered it with Embossing powder

I heat embossed after

this effect give us Faux Leather!

 really cool uh?!

then I did some cool stuff to turn this into a lip gloss holder

 

now keep in mind if you would like me to do a complete tutorial I am game :-)

then I added a wonderful cordoroy button!

my measurments are not exactly like the one on the tutorial for Project Tuesday

I made changes to fit my lip gloss he he :-)

now for some ribbon

I coloured it Baja Breeze

 

I always let my ribbon dry on my lamp

which I sadly cracked the other day with my coffee cup

I don't like have those ROSA moments!

 

now I am making it look like a book

but I am sure I will run out of time

even though on a 3 D project I have 30 min

 

I am changing my mind!

ouh now for some stamp sets!

I chose to use Herb Expression and Define your life!

and I am so running out of time!

I am not sure how over I will be with this silly timer

I miss Madame Vilaine! ahw she is still not so well!

she will be better for Convention for sure! :-)

My digital Studio card

good day

it's Thursday and it's very rainy here in Alberta!

I started in my craft room at 2:40am this rainy morning and I personally think it's the best way to start a day!

I have been asked to do a simple card

okay sooooooooooo Simple for me is really hard to cause I aim to please I will try

 I decided to use one of the NEW beautiful images that I downloaded from Stampin Up's

"My Digital Studio" Computer Program!

I don't think I would just make a card with just the program without layers and everything -

but you kow after I printed the image and layered it, it's actually really nice

okay so I chose this image and I tried to cut it up to make it more 3D

and well that was not so successful take a look

okay let's not and say we did lol

then I started trying some layers

I only have one piece of the Early Expresso cause my preorder is not here yet

fingers crossed that I get it Friday so I can play with all the wonderful new stamps and colours!

OUH and I got to  soak in the catalogue last night

OH MY goodness my friends

it's magnificiant!

ouh and I am going to have a little event on

 Sunday July 4th at my home!

it's going to be a

 Rummage Sale

& New Catalogue Realese event

I will have some of my retired stamps and DSP for sale

Will also be handing out the new catalogue to all members of my stamp club

no in one of my stamp clubs

okay sorry friends I have a bad habbit of going off topic

back to my MDS card

   I used a sponge and Soft suede with some beautiful shimmer to fill in the white areas

okay more layers

then I chose a greeting

this set is called Define your life

I sure love this set it's got alot of options!

then I did the corners

then chose some Vintage brads

and I am done

what do you think of my very FIRST MDS card

I don't mind you know

it's different

and you know ME

by now! LOL I love different LOL

I did the inside with the rest of the image

these are the brads up close

and you can see how the shimmer paint came thru really nice

as this was just printed on plain photo copy paper

could you ever tell??

I really really love the image

A Little Bit of Magic Gift Card Holder

Howdy Friends!

Only two more days till the weekend ! Yhe! I have had a really busy week and I am really excited about the weekend! Especially cause I get to hold a class on Sunday! That is alway so much fun! ouh and whow I invented something really cool and I hope my class will LOVE it!??

So today I want to share a little gift card holder that I created - this is not made form a template on the internet - I created it - All by my self HE HE I am a big girl now LOL

If you like it I can do a complete tutorial on this on Saturday - if you wish!

for now let me show you What I did with this cute little stamp that is new in the

Summer Mini Stampin Up Catalogue

I stamped my image on Watercolour paper

with Black Staz on

That was my first try anyways

ouh and I failed miserably my first few attempts

but I am sure by now you know that I don't quit easily lol

and I decided that I should cut her out and put her on the mushroom

then for more little bling 

I used Crystal Effects on the wings

then I added glass beads to the center of the flower and I covered the wings with Dazzling diamonds

pretty uh?

okay let's assemble

okay so my thought

 

I did several scores!

did a bunch of layers

and inserted a ribbon very discretly (actually think I used this word in the right sentence LOL)

 

this is my first one

now for the others!

Voila my three cards that I made this morning!

phew and my post is done yhe

okay my friends tomorrow we will have our 10 min challenge with our new team!

Fifth Avenue with Sweet Pea designer paper

Good Day!

It's Sunday and I am rushed this morning! I am making a big lunch/dinner for my husband's birthday today! We should be about 16 people!

Been cooking since 2:00am! ( well I started soaking the beans and  put the ribs in a special marinate last night)

It's coming along nicely and in between cooking I finished my card!

I still have to make a card for Rex! I know I am so far behind! If I didn't have to work yesterday all would of worked better - but hey I am so thankful for the work that I am so not complaining!

okay so onto finishing my card

first I used The Mojo Monday Sketch and also the LNS Ribbon challenge

 

The colours were inspired by a new designer paper!

It is called Sweet Pea - it's new and in the Stampin Up! Occasions Mini catalogue

on page 33 - whow you get 48 pages and all double sided that is 96 pages of 12'' x 12'' DSP can you beleive it??

okay so the colours are as follows:

Chocolate chip, Old Olive, So Saffron and Pale Plum

I used my Big Shot and my Circle cutter to created both the scalloped circle and the other circles

 

some of my circles

and finishing my circles

 so I have matted alot of layers and I have done my faux stiching ribbon

I used the Fifth Avenue Rose to stamp

I did a tone on tone - 

So Saffron on So Saffron card stock

I edge my circle with So Saffron a little shimmer paint!

you didn't think I wouldn't use shimmer paint did you?? lol

I used the stamp called

"Define your life"

Stampin Up idea book page 150 for the greeting

I coloured two white ribbons

one pale plum

with the Stampin Markers

and So Saffron

I know I love to colour ribbon - so cool uh??

then I used the same rose and stamped the inside 

and Thank You greeting
