I am in Saskatoon and getting my Renee ready for another competition today!

I watercoloured the truck and I added several layers for the frame

Countryside continued Stampin Up!

Good day friends - it's Thursday I want to share the second card I created with the Counrtyside Stamp set

I did turned the little corners and added hemp

I think I like it better then my first

Countryside workshop in a box cards

good day my friends it's Tuesday morning and I can say I feel more alive - not 100% but more me today!

which is always good right!

I want to thank you all for your wonderful warm comments yesterday

I rested - yes I did

and I guess it was just needed (as much as it angers me - don't like being on idle and not moving he he )

anyways today is a new day and I will be posting a card today

this is a 3 part post

I am not really happy with this card to tell you the truth

maybe it's the way I am feeling

but hopefully you all won't be too dissapointed

I have another workshop in a box for my mom and thought I would do

man cards!

 
I took out the stamp set called

countryside from Stampin Up!

this has to be one of my all time fav sets

I also grabbed some newsprint DSP for these

 
then I reached for a colour I don't use much

Wild Wasabi

I know uh?

 
then I stamped all my images and chose a couple greetings from the stamp set called

So Happy For You

it's a Sale-A-Bration stamp set

 
all coloured 

now what??

 
well since I have felt yhuky thought I could distress this card

I am not sure if that was a good choice

but oh well

I am not really liking it

I used some Crystal effects to add a bit more dimention

Recipe day not he he

I have missed blogging and making cards to show you - so today not recipe but a man card

I know you all love man cards cause they are sooooooooooooo hard

soooooooooooooooooooooo YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS we have a man card

I am not really good at these so bear with me my friends!

 
so I started with just add ink challenge and countryside stamp

 
I stamped with Black Staz On

on watercolouring carstock

 
starting to colour - I used the pencils to colour the truck

now for the background because I want it softer I will use the ink pads

 
now the sky and grass are done

let's make this card happen he he

 
made a frame for my truck - you can see on the left how I stamped on a piece of window sheet

with black staz on - I tried to take a photo but you could not tell there was a window sheet there sorry

 
you can see the overlay that I created better here in this photo

 
now to add a few details

hum how about some leaves

 
I coloured them the same was as my truck and cut them out

these leaves are from the classic stamp set that Stampin Up has called

Lovely as a tree

 
coming together nicely

lets do a little ribbon treatment

 

I used real red taffeta ribbon - by applying a sticky strip and just pleatting my ribbon

what do you think?

it actually looks nicer in real life he he

do you think it's manly enough - I am not sure if the ribbon put it on the feminine side???

but tomorrow is Rememberance day here in Canada and we have the day off

and I closed the office Friday so that way we all have 4 days off what a nice long weekend uh?

Stampin Up Countryside card

IT'S A COUNTRYSIDE BIRTHDAY CARD!

Good Morning y'all!

Sorry I am so far behind this morning

certainly cause I wasn't up early he he 2:45am!

but I was trying to get ready for my FIRST ever downline meeting (wish me luck he he)

anyways got a few card ready for my girls and worked my swap cards for the month!

then I started on my nephews birthday card!

I hope you like it!

so I took out the Crountryside Stamp set cause I had not had a chance to ink it up yet

FUN!

I always used Black Staz on when I am going to watercolour

I also used Watercolour paper

started colouring 

I love love love to colour

I used a tad of shimmer just in the highlight areas!

now for some layers

thought the new Stampin Up "NEWSPRINT" DSP would work well??

now for more layers

the base is Pacific Blue 

then a layer of Basic Black

Then my DSP

and some wripping

then I wanted to add Very Vanilla on top of the DSP

but it look BLAH

so I used one of my new stamps that I had not used!

now for a little tag
