okay now I am ready to show you what I was up to in my craft room at 2:25am this morning he he :)

I started with Stacey's Colour Challenge from the

Curtain Calll

 

then I used a really neat sketch from Card Patterns

now I am ready ouh sorry wait I also used the Late night challenge #60

to use DSP

ouh yes but you know what I used????
OH YHA

The BRIDE DSP

take a look!

my first attempt to stamp and emboss was not a success

so I restarted with a new White DSP

BRIDE

I started by dabbing ink mixed with 

SHIMMER Paint

no really I did lol

  after I had enough ink I used a damp NOT wet baby wipe

and wiped off my Bride Paper

now for some layers to match the colour challenge

weird you know cause I would of never thought of putting bashful blue with Razlebbery

but I love it he he :)

now for some ribbons hum??

then I thought I would add a couple of flowers

but I didn't want them both white

oh yes mam I dabbed ink and shimmer paint lol

 
that's coming along nicely

now for stampin

I decided to use two stamp sets

I used Vintage Vogue and Tiny Tags

I mixed both colours 

Bashful Blue and the Razzleberry

I stamped on shimmery white card stock

now for the focal point

I used the F for friends from the Vintage Vogue 

I used Craft ink in Pretty in pink and embossed with clear embossing powder

then I cut it out

 
I also stamped some cute little words from the Tiny Tags Stamp set

I also used this new little tag punch

Adorable!

inserting some eyelets

then I was looking for something to tie my little tags and I had nothing that would work that was current soooooooooo

I used our Thread (Stampin Up)

and I dabbed Razzleberry on it the thread and look at that

cool beans uh?(that is what Liane always says LOL )

there we have it!

Vintage Vogue turns into Mojo Monday on Sunday

Good day to you all my blogging friends

Before I start to share my card today, I want to share something very important to me.

on this day 8 years ago, my dad, passed away.....

My dad' s name was Rosaire S. Méthot (everyone in the english community called him "Bob")

He was born on Oct. 27, 1937 and passed away on Dec. 13, 2001.

the day he left us, was bitter sweet.  You see my dad had suffored a great deal, and the journey with his disease was so sad, both for us, and for him.  A man like my dad, certainly did not deserve to spend his retirement years in a hospital that is for sure!

so a little bit about my dad!

First he always called me "La Fouine", it was his nick name for me (his pride and joy, I was his little girl)! My dad was the most patient person ever, I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! Uouh and what a sense 0f humour, that man had.  I believeruns in the Méthot family, cause, honestly  I do not remember a Christmas party at the Méthot's without a food fight! My dad was a prankster!!! The best story ever is this one:

okay so picture this: I am about 12 years old and really wanting my chest to grow! (HE HE) We are in our back yard in the dead of nice hot Québec summer day.  My dad says to me:

" Well you know if you pick the dandilions and you use the white stuff from the stems, and rub that on your chest, it will make you have BIG ONES"  oh my goodness I thought. How fabulous.  I am running around the back yard to pick as many dandilions as I can, and then I proceed to go to the bathroom.  Oh yes you guessed it, oh yha I did.  My dad, I am sure was killing himself laughing outside.  So then after I am done smearing the WHITE stuff on my chest, I go back outside, and I ask my dad, how long before it works.

OH MY he started to laugh, and laugh, he had such contagious laugh.  Needless to say, it was a good prank!!!! ouh I have lot's of stories but I just had to share this one.

So I have a couple of photos to share with you, this  photo taken at our engagement party and then a photo from our wedding..... Yhap almost 21 years ago. But he got sick shortly after, and I don't like to look remember him sick  So instead I thought I would share some happy day photos of him!

 

I love this photo of him, he truly looks so happy! That was my dad!

This was taken at our engament party that my mom organized for Rex and I. It was held in early December of 1988!

now for an old family photo - check out my `80`s hair LOL :)

from left to right - my dad, my mom, moi, and my baby brother Paul! This photo was taken before our wedding, this is the last photo of the 4 of us, all being "Méthot's" a few hours later, I became Carole'Anne Marie Méthot Sluchinski! Photo taken on June 24th, 1989

sooooooooo I just couldn't go by the day, without sharing with you, what this day bring for me.

okay so I worked on Mojo Monday sketch today!  I know I know it's Sunday right??? LOL
anyways here is the sketch!

I am not going to do a long drawn out post today............. so I am just going to condense it!!!

I started with some real red, chocolate chip, bridesmaid paper and ivory card stock.

Then I decided to use my die!

 
I wasn't like over the top with the flowers............

sooooooooooo went with the butterfly dies

aint these the prettiest little butterflies you ever did see???

 
 this is going to be pretty - so I used my stamp set called Vintage Vogue

ouh I wanted to correct my wording from yesterday - so I got an email last night from someone who corrected me - I called them Clear Stamps yesterday - okay  - so please forgive me, I made an error - as she explained in her email to me that they are unmounted red rubber - as she explains "Stampin Up is sleeing clear MOUNT stamps" so I thought I would try to clarify my post from yesterday: So I thought I would insert the exact wording that STAMPIN UP! have used in their introduction of the CLEAR MOUNT Stamps

having said this, the `Vintage Vogue`` Stamp set that I used are CLEAR MOUNT STAMPS!

the pearls and  the embossed butterflies up close

and the pretties broch with pretty `F`embossed and raised.

La Fille a Rosaire

(that would be me his first born)

As I close my eyes I can see you!

I see your kindness, your patience, your generosity, but

most of all I see how much love you had for me!

As I close my eyes I can see you!

I see your hand me a  Cresent Wrench &  

explaining what I do with this Crescent Wrench.

As I close my eyes I can see you!

I see you put the biggest box of tampons that you got for me,

 on the  kitchen table, as a prank

with several visitors sitting at the table!

As I close my eyes I can see you!

I can hear your laugh, and your broken english

I can hear your loud foot steps

 and I hear you choking on your morning coffee !

As I close my eyes I picture you here dad!

I really do miss you, I will always be

"La Fille a Rosaire".

As I close my eyes I can see you,

I see you, AT PEACE

& I pray that you are nothing but proud of me!

I love you dad and miss you so much
