Bride and Groom Card Cased from Monika

 
It's Monday (okay for me right now it's Saturday morning in a hotel room in Saskatoon - it's 3:02am - I know I am done sleeping lol)

anyways happy Monday to you! LOL

I worked really hard on this card on Friday morning as I had to make a wedding card

and would you beleive that I think I have only made one other wedding card EVER

weird uh?

but as my son Evan approaches 21 and my daughter Renee 18 - I am sure I will be making more

anyways this wedding card for my son's girlfriends - sister (irony has it - her name is Renee as well - no no NOT my Renee lol )

so not having a clue what I was going to do I googled wedding cards

and came across Monika Davis' card

and so I emailed her and asked her permission to CASE this card

ready to see what I created???

okay so let me share my process with this card - I'll tell you that I don't CASE much and

yha I had fun lol

 
so on the right is Monika's card

I cut out the pattern and I started to create a Carole'Anne version of this really adorable card

 
so I thought hum? Velum may look a little like lace??

so I cut a piece out

 
then I used this cute embossing folder for the velum dress

 
okay trying to visualize this

I cut out the little tuxedo as well

 
okay so now I need to create a bouquet

her colours are wine red

so thinking Cherry cobbler

but I am going to for warn you the first try at the bouquet was a flop

 
okay so I wanted to try and make FAUX flower soft

so I used some cardstock and a knive and look at this

 
applied the faux flower soft with two way glue

 
but that did not look good enought for me

so back to thinking about this lol

 
okay this is much better

I had also enquired what kind of flowers her bouquet was it was roses

he he

 
then I added pearls all over the dress

 
then I started on the inside

oh but I have to tell you

that after this everything changed

I just was not happy with the front

 
okay so I took the front apart and decided that I needed to add something more

I just love layers

no duh lol

 
okay so I think that is going to be better

layers and a greeting

perhaps I have issues with BLANK spots on my card lol

Sunday morning Bra Card

Good morning

Well I never did make it back to you yesterday I am so sorry!

By the time I got home had to make supper and clean up the kitchen and bake a cake for my class this morning and you know all the good stuff that mom's have to do!

Sooooooooooo here I am a day late

But I do hope you enjoy the post none the less!

so the reason I made this card was for my friend Michelle

You see Michelle is a breast cancer survivor, and without giving away her entire story, she asked me to make a card!

and so I thought this card would perfect!

First I want to say though, is that I CASED this card from my Late night design team partner

her name is Tiffany

She is a very talented lady

and I never case something without giving the respect and credit to the person that deserves it!

so here's where I started

so Tiffany created a black bra....... I didn't want to make it that sexy

so I got some beautiful BRIDE paper 

I know I am crazy for this DSP

So I tried 3 different colours

yoyo yellow

then I brayed Ochid Opulence

on another piece of Bride paper

then the final colour I tried was Green Galore

so on my Ochard opulence I ended over doing the

Alcohol action

soooooooooooooo..................... don't Try this at home ladies.........

it looks real bad..... take a look!

 
 Oh but have to fear I fixed it lol

all I did was brayered the DSP again!

and well VOILA all fixed he he :)

then I used this template

okay so the back in Tiffany's card is panties............

but for my card I went with the back of the bra

then I used a piece of Blush Blossom Card Stock (Stampin Up) ofcourse he he

and I cut out the template

I think this may look like a "D" Cup!

What do you think LOL

okay we got skin we got to cover that up now he he

then I free handed the bra part out of my coloured bride paper

so time for some details now

after several trial and error we ended up using stretchy type ribbon which is retired

ouh I know my bad

shush  I won't tell if you don't okay???

 
 that is my Renee helping me!

Can you  beleive she had not slepted at 3:00 am yesterday morning

so she came and hung out in my craft room and jumped right in to help me

She was nervous for Cheer!

so Renee and I tried to create the illuzion of a back clasp

so this is how the bad will look

now going to try and finish this cute little bra card

We put a litte crochet flower with a bling brad in the center and we added the straps

in the back ground you can see the green and pink one that I am also working on

it's not done yet

I will show you that one another day okay?

I have to teach a class today and do a pdf tutorial

sooooooooooo yhap I am on a big deadlines he he :)

and well there we have it the front of the bra

pretty cute uh?

The green on may even be cuter I think!

I put a little butterfly tatoo on the back just for fun

They actually had no one to compete against at this competition but they all had a great time

and the routine was flawless!
