Good day!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know our southern friends got to have a bit of snow party! How beautiful! :)
Monday morning brings us a couple of events
The first is the Late nigth stampers challenge!
This week, we get to feature Butterflies!
The second is the Stampin Connect Monday Sketch # SSCS2
I am finally going to share my tutorial on the Bride DSP polished stone effect!
soooooooooooooo are you ready??
Okay so I started with the sketch
Then I got out some of my BEAUTIFUL bride DSP
This designer paper is so awesome!
It's in The Stampin Up Idea book on page 158
now we are going to gather some re inkers
Bashful Blue
Night of Navy
So Saffron
and don't forget you will be needing the all purpose Shimmer ink
and some cotton balls along with Rubbing Alcohol
and talking about Rubbing alcohol!
how do you like my Rosa move!
I am good uh? LOL
so what you are suppose to do is put rubbing alcohol on the cotton ball
not all over the table LOL
then add some drops of re-inkers
you kinda will have to do some trial errors to get it to where you like it
you will then dab dab dab on the bride DSP
it's going to look something like this
okay we are not done
now take a CLEAN cotton ball and put some alcohol on it
and you will put some shimmer all purpose ink
I used the Frost White shimmer ink
for this one, then I added just one dab of my lightest colour ink
and now we will dab dab and then rub rub he he :)
and you will see how it shimmers and the bride deisgn will pop back out!
ouh how I wish I could show you the shimmer!
okay let's make a card with this beautiful background!
now for the sketch I punched the edge with new
Pinking Hearts Border Punch (it's on page 11 of the Stampin Up Occasions mini catalogue)
then I worked on my greeting I used my oval scallop punch to create the matt
now for our beautiful Butterfly dies
Ran it thru my Big Shot
boy I would be a sad girl without that toy uh?? LOL
and I used all colours included the bride inked DSP to make these fabulous Butterflies
so I used the Whimsical Words Clear mount stamp set for this card
I stamped in on my Bashful blue and then punched it out with the small oval punch
now it's time assemble this card
and for some bashful blue ribbon
oh yes this brings me to the next topic
How would you like to be part of a Ribbon Swap???
You would get 3 yards of each colour
there is 9 different colours of the NEW 5/8'' Satin Ribbon
beautiful I just love these new ribbons!
Soooooooo all those colours for only $29.00 Canadian (includes shipping and GST)
Can't beat that!
Email me if you would like to have in on the ribbon Swap!
okay sorry had to offer that before I forgot he he
------
all right where were we now??
oh right ribbon - so I tie a bow and finished up my card
and voila there we have it my card
I used the flower brads on here cause you know flowers and butteflies go together right??
the ribbon is perfect for this card
don't you think??
the textured card stock is so pretty and look at that butterfly in the inked bride paper
aint it just darlin!
up close of the Bride DSP sadly you can't get the shimmer out of the photo as well
I wish you could really see it!!!
