A Quick Christmas card today with Frostwood Lodge DSP

Good day friends

it's a busy Wednesday morning I have my computer guy coming today and hopefully I will be able to do what I need to on my computer!

so perhaps tomorrow I'll have a recipe for you

it's even a Christmas card

just a quick easy card

nothing GREAT but fun

 
I started with this fabulous NEW DSP

that is now availabe in the

STAMPIN UP HOLIDAY MINI CATALOGUE

oh yes I love this mini

it's THE BEST EVER

 

I did some cardstock cutting

and lot's of thinking lol

 
a little glitter maybe??

 
yhap we will do glitter and a little tag

and some cute bells

 
final touches and I will be done with this card

but it's kinda different don't you think?

 

this is cute with the bells and snowflake and a little bling in the center

Anniversary Card - day later

hello everyone hope this Saturday finds you all really gooooddd!

I am at my home lapttop this morning to post this for you all

I am so sorry for all the missing posts this week

I still don't have my computer issues fixed :-(

okay so first let me say that yesterday was Rex and I's 22nd anniversary

I had a good day

my mom came to visit at my office and brought us a beautiful card (that she made thank you mom)

and brought a nice plant and a gift card

we had coffee together and chatter - it was nice and quiet in the office - for a Friday afternoon - had Renee installing decals on site

it was nice thank you MOM!

okay now you want to see what I made right lol

here we go friends

started with photos from 22 years ago and our journey (married life) together

 
I printed a few photos and cut them out

 
then I started to build a card

I used my Big Shot to make this

used the  Framed tulip border embossing folder

and the vintage wallpaper impression embossing folder

my card will all be Black and white

 
more layers as I was doing this I was making this card up

no idea where it was going to go

but I love the way it turned out

I had two ideas photos and layers lol

 
now I did a top flap - like a photo from 22 years ago

and then a photo of now

 
okay so the front card part is ready the front flap is ready

now I am going to work on the inside

now for matting all the photos

 
now for some stampin

I used Black Staz on for all my stampin

I stamped on scrap white pieces

I have not adhered anything yet

 
I also used a bunch of different punches to get the desired shapes for my stamped greetings

I used lot's of sticky tape and dimentionals and 3/4 of a roll of glue dots on this card

I know so many layers

did I ever mention that I love layers lol

Easter Blossom fun cards created by Stampin Stressaway

Good Monday Morning!

We are back from a wonderful 36 hour get away to Calgary

we had such a good time and we have everything for Grad now - even a dress for ME lol!

phew!

Renee and I also decided that we would make her flowers - instead of bying them

so we will be working on that in the next week

then will come the pedicure and we need our nails done lol

in between all the excitment we will have a very very busy work week

fun stuff uh?

ouh and when I got home I was blessed with a completly CLEANED house

OH MY goodness if you only knew how much that means to me

thank you Rex, Evan and Kayla!

totally the best I tell you

and Evan's floor is fabulous (he did the painting in his room then they did the most amazing hardwood floors) oh after that Rex also did hardwood floors in my bathroom

what a difference that made!

all right sorry enough blah blah

it was just a wonderful weekend - and it felt fabulous to take a REAL break

thank you Chikie for the get away and the wonderful breakfast treat!

oh and to for warn you

I did alot of mind changing on this one my friends

lol

 
I started with pretty in pink card stock and stamped the image twice

then I used bleach to colour the flowers

 
okay then I was not sure if I liked it

so I moved onto a new idea!

 
then I used my gel pen

onto the pink and cut the velum flowers

not too bad!

 
now I have to different looks

he he thinking

 
hum now trying something yet again

did I mention I changed my mind alot during these cards lol

 
I created two circles and scallop punched circles

I used one with black DSP

and one with Early Espresso DSP

 
I used my lattice die and I also embossed my white piece of cardstock

I used my Big Shot alot on this one uh?

 
I tried black satin ribbon and still not 100% happy with the flowers

hey can you see I changed the circle too lol

 
okay the black just was not cutting it

so went with pink ribbon instead

still not super happy with flowers lol

 
okay this is coming along now

I also did some cute little tags

I used the tiny tags stamp set and I used the new Bakers Twine

Big Shot beer can birthday card for Joe

 
This card was created for my husband friend out of a beer can (his kind ofcourse)

so if anyone knows me - I don't drink he he - so it was lucky that I actually got the rigth beer can to make this card out of!

so the first was to cut the can

 

 
you would never beleive what these scissors can cut thru!

they are the Kraft and Rubber Scissors

 
I used my plates on this!

That Big Shot is Fabulous!

 
at first I used this die for the oval

but I eneded changing my mind I used my punch

 
like this instead!

 
I used my large oval punch to make this area for my suspending metal piece

and lot's of sticky strip

 
I did two of these ovals and put them back to back with the silver string running between them

 
now for my top piece of cardstock to cover up this mess! lol

now that the hard part is done lol

I embossed the greeting with the Cute Curly stamp set

I am liking this greeting set

I started with a white base though

 
this was my first thought

and that did not work out so good

so another idea!

 
I decided that I wanted the Presto DSP to be bigger

 
I like this

it's so pretty

 
I cut my large scallop square on white Cardstock and sponged it

 
now for deep thinking LOL

 
then I used the Daisy die and my BIG SHOT!

and created a flower

instead of the scallop punch

would you beleive that I did not stamp anything on this card

WEIRD! HE HE

Stampin Up NEW Designer Fabric Deck The Halls

Deck the Halls NEW Designer Fabric From Stampin Up!

ouh I have been so excited to do this and I have created a new card with this fabulous fabric

it's my first!

can you tell what my theme is this week, yha'll didn't think I had fergotten the theme for a week did yha??

lol

so here is what I did to start with!

 

so I took out the beautiful fabric - ouh I love it he he

then I took the NEW

 TASTETUL TRIM  BIGZ XL DIE (Page   17 of the Stampin Up Holiday Mini)

 

I used the new adhesive sheets on the back of the fabric way way tooooo coooooool!

then I put some sticky strip on the beautiful Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding

I wanted to try and crimple as I was asked about that yesterday so take a look

 

it worked so well

 

used Lee's wonderful bow maker

 

how pretty uh?

I used the stamp from Peaceful Season Set (that we received at Convention)

then I applied my sticky flower

 

it worked perfectly 

 

hum trying to decide???

I also created a cute little tag with the stamp set called

Tags till Christmas

 

pretty uh?

 

and some bling

and I am done he he :-)

a Cute Little Christmas round scallop box - Stampaholic challenge

Stampaholics 3 D challenge with Stampin Up "A Cute Little Christmas"

Good day!

It's FRIDAY

oh my goodness I am so releived to see Friday this week! lol

sooooooooo

that means it's our Stampaholics Challenge!

OUH and Sandi created a fabulous 3D challenge for us all!

and whowzers - just you wait till you see this!!!

you'll love it!

okay so the first thing I have to share with y'all is that I have a new timer

Madame Vilaine had fallen ill before convention!

and so I have a new timer which I have not dressed up yet

I am sorry

but I have to tell you something else

the new timer is different then Madame Vilaine cause it's in hours not in minutes LOL

soooooooooo

honestly I have no clue how long this box took me

but for sure fur sure NOT 30 MIN. lol

okay let's see how things went this morning!

I took out some NEW DSP from the Holiday Mini

and my scallop large circle die!

(PS take a look at the new timer - it looks like I have 23 min plus 6:59 min right lol - well that is hours oh my goodness I am such a goof hehe)

ouh and then I did a strip of snow flakes with sticky back

oh I know I am loving this

how easy is this going to be to adhere to the surface

oh YES this is wonderful

my scallops turned out very nicely

I did this 6 times

are you wondering why??

Okay well I used a cardboard - to give it better support

so that will get standwiched in between the DSP

let's do some adhering and create that sandwich!

 

I did the cuts just like Sandi gave us on her wonderful instructions!

This is for the band that will create the walls of the round box

this band measures 2'' x 11 1/4'' 

ouh oh not very circly is it lol

okay no worries I will make this work lol

I am going to put a circle inside of it to nmake it round he he

Adhering with my Tombo Glue 

okay that is better

let's make a hinge!

I used the label punch to do this and again 

three layers on this!

now for some Sticky Strip

now for the fun fun part

let's decorate

now I have no idea how long I am at

cause I read the new timer so wrong

but let's see I got up at 3:02am

had a coffee and put my doggies out

washed my hair LOL

I was in my craft room about 3:40am

it's now 4:25am

how good am I doing LOL

now I used my new stamp set

but I did not go with this one he he

not happy with that

   ouh and then yes

my sticky snowflakes

FUN AND EASY!

 

and voila

10 min card challenge

good day to y'all

you cannot imagine how happy I am that it's Friday

holly cow I am a happy girl today he he :-)

so this week Nancy has an inspirational challenge for us

those are fun cause they are wide open

So I started with some bridesmaid DSP and 

coloured it up!

the three colours I chose from this fabulous photo was

Melon Mambo

Soft Suede

& Tempting Turquoise

 

I am set

good that's the way I like it

I coloured my bridesmaid cardstock with soft suede

 

my goal was to create a little flower pot he he

cute uh?

 

a little texture with Mr. Big Shot

 

I inked up the background

 

then I did a fair amount of dimensionals

 

here is where I am inserting the book marks

 

now some flowers

 
I used a needle and thread and a ribbon to create the cute little flowers at the end of the large paper clip

 

added a pretty cordoroy button

then I coloured some ribbon to go with the Tempting turquoise

and did the same thing

 

pretty uh?

 

I added three little brads in the corner

and well look at the time

I suck he he

but I have to say that I had fun creating this

it's kind a like a 3D right?

let's pretend okay!

then I did it under time HE HE
I can change rules can't I?

It's a book mark and a card! lol

my clock with a Sense of Time stamp set is done

It's Sunday and I know I was suppose to post this yesterday

sorry my friends!

took a little long then I wanted to take he he

so as I had posted yesterday I made a little clock for my craft room

I really love it actually

I used up some the Presto DSP that I wasn't sure about the patterned and it worked great

colours are used

Balck

More Mustard

Really rust

and Soft Suede

 

so I used The OCC SKetch as you can see there

it's cute uh?

 

I embossed it after this 

it wasn't clear enough

oh and I made sure to to colour in the hour and minute hand

since I am putting in my own right? 

 

sorry I fergot to take photos of the sponging but you all know what that is like he he

I used more mustard

soft suede

and a little bit of really rust

 

then I used the board that the Presto DSP was packaged in

it's a really really heavy duty cardboard and I thought this would be just prefect

ofcourse I cut it down to make it size I wanted!

 

I used Really Rust to cover up the cardboard

I wrapped it up just like a gift he he

 

I used sticky strips so that it adhered reallly good

this is GREAT stuff!

 

I sponged the edges after it was adhered

I used Soft Suede

 

had a little visit with Mr. Big Shot 

 

I actually cut the pieces apart here!

cool uh?

ouh and then,

I used another piece of my Presto DSP on the face of the background

I used more mustard to and soft suede to spong this

not really run on this one

 

I also stamped the greeting I love the words on this one!

 

 
my background is now ready to adhere and then

I will assemble the clock

 

I was so happy when it started to work

he he :-)

I get excited over little things I know

he he

 

voila my clock is done yhahoooooooooo

my new created box and flower

good day

sorry that this is so late!

I just did not have any internet at home so I thought I would just do my post from work!

so here I am at work!

I am doing my post for you!

I am truly just so excited about my creation today!

I am actually going to show you the box first cause it sure won't make any sense other wise!

I used the colour challenge from

Colour Throwdown

 

they are nice colours!

oh my goodness what do you think of this box???

Aint it just so cool???

so created this template first them I scored it

  I used my cool tool that Stampin Up has

it's called The Cutter Kit it's on Page 191 of the Stampin Up idea Book

oh my I love it

it's going to be so cool

I am going to put in two gift cards in here and make a matching card

it's a thank you to our travel agent!

I created a mask to add some ink to the scored area

 

then did the reverse to get the Baja ink dabbed on

 

then I used my new stamp called 

gratuitous graffiti

its a new background stamp that I just go!

oh it's on page 134 in the Stampin Up Idea Book

too cool I just love it

(this is the bottom)

oh wait till you see how I closed it 

okay is that cool or what??

I used retired DSP

reason what that I really wanted to heavy weight of the Texture DSP

I figured I was covering it all up anyways with ink so why now right?

this is the top!

now for some BIG SHOT Action

so I changed my mind on the flower 

I decided to do something else 

more like the Dehlia flower that I did before when I did not really have time to perfect it

so I tried it with Velum

so now all my flowers are die cut and I added ink

I used melon mambo and pretty in pink

and some I did not add ink to at all

 

It's coming along nicely

I have a few more better pictures

it's actually a hard box to photograph!

I love this flower

in Velum its just that much better

what do you think?

I really wanted to try and show you how it goes in here to make it look like a flower

and you can tell that I added shimmer to my ink on this photo!

I even put an extra piece in the bottom so it would be a liltle more sturdy

so pretty don't you think

although I am multi tasking

cutting decals and creating some artwork

I actually really like working Satrudays I am so far behind that it feels good to get caught up!
