oh and tomorrow leaving for Calgary for a sign show

so kinda feels like a Friday he he

anyways back to what I am working on this week friends

this set I am sad to see leave

I love colouring

DUH I know sorry

but I will miss this one truly

 
so I started with concord crush

and the scallop circle

last one promise he he

ready to stamp with black staz on

 
 coloured and cut out a layer

 
all right the colours are good now let's add a little lattice die cut and it will almost be ready

 
I coloured another seem binding this time with a stamp and write marker

 
there we have it my last card of this set

let me show you all three cards

you will see how using the same elements does not give you a same card at all

It's Friday - did I mention it's Friday

whow what a week

phew I think I will be take a little time away from the office this weekend

We have Graduation for Woody this weekend

so it's going to be another busy weekend of getting Renee ready for the boyfriends big day!

before I go to work on Sunday

so let me show you what I did this morning for the stampaholics challenge

 
so I started with the inpsirational photo

cherry cobbler and the new stamp set called flower fest

 
okay so I used the BIG SHOT

for this he he

then I stamped and cut

 
then I created a little flower and made a quilt like idea from the DSP called newsprint

 
then added layers

oh and some shimmer spray as well

 
almost done added some ribbon

and seam binding

 
and voil I am done

I added a little greeting using Because I care stamp set

 
so the theme was vintage and to use the photo as inspiration

so this is what I came up with

I only had 15 min to make this and I wish I could of spent more time on the flower

good day y'all - sorry that I did not get a chance to post yesterday - it was a crazy busy day and ended up having to go to work for a few hours!

I found two fun challenges yesterday

yes I did start this yesterday lol

mind you I did not finish it till this morning he he

remember I said I would do colours that I don't do usually - okay well this is good one!

then I found this challenge

I did my flower different then the tutorial but hey that is what makes me

ME lol

so I started with Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon

Thread and knittle

 
I did little stitch along the bottom of my ribbon

 
cute uh?

 
then I punch a circle out of razzleberry

and ou sticky sheets

then this is what I did

 
I adhered the ribbon flower to my circle

then I used the pumpkin pie colour in the center with a BEAUTIFUL

Stampin Up Brad from the Holiday Mini Catalogue

LOVE these!

 
then I took a piece of Presto DSP

I used all of the colours from the challenge other then the white he eh

 
and so this is what I did with some sponging

I also created some leaves and a stem with a little ribbon!

 
then I added 3 little brads

 
and voila my fabric colour challenge card

what do you think??
I know it's very different uh?

What sort theme should we have next week

the greeting I used is from Stampin Up "Because I care" stamp set

I stamped in razzleberry on white

 
here are the three brads and you see all the layers that I used here as well as the little leaves that I made

 
and here is my flower with the brad in the center

kinda a cool uh?

Because I care with The top Note theme

Good day

it's Monday! I cannot beleive that in a week it's convention!

holly cow were we busy this weekend

having said that I think all my thinking powers are gone

soooooooooooooo I hope you still like my card to day

it was hard going this morning as I was at work at 4:30am

okay here's my theme for the week

it's The Top Note

I will be posting only Wed. and Friday again this week

I promise to post all sorts of wonderful photos of Convention!

okay so I started with the top note die

and some textured card stock

then I used an embossing folder

then I did a little cutting

like this

I used black staz on to stamp the Because I care

flower

I stamped on shimmery white card stock

I coloured (with my pencils) it and blended

I used en francais for the background stamp here

almost done 

I put crystal effects in the center of the flowers

once that was try I added white shimmer

I made a few cute little tags as well!

aren't they just too cute!

voila here is my card

what do you think??

it's not the greatest card I have ever made in my life he he

oh well I still really like this stamp and enjoyed my time in my craft room

even if it was short lived :-)

Presto DSP with Because I care greeting

good morning to y'all

hope you have a wonderful restful weekend!

soooooooooooo this week will be a lot different!

first I have some very special company visiting from Terrace BC! so we will try to get as much visiting in as we can although of course I have to work (boy my job gets in the way uh? wish my boss would give me time off LOL oh wait thats me he he )

having said that I will not blogging on Wed or Thursday!

I hope you all understand!

okay so down to business here!

this weeks theme is going to be

Simple Cards (I know this is a stretch me lol)

but I thought since I don't have alot of time this week it would be a good week to have this theme

I also really have to work on swaps!

so this will get me thinking

SIMPLE

wish me luck I may need it

so it was my turn to create a sketch for Stampin connect

so this is what I did

 

for my background DSP I used Presto

 

and I took out my tag punch

 

did some sponging with Marine Mist and Tempting Turquoise then I darkened the edges with Not Quite Navy

 

then I punched my tag

I used another piece of the same DSP and 

I also scalloped my edge

I used not quite navy

 

I coloured the ribbon and then I debossed a ribbon as well

 

greeting and would you beleive I am almost done

 

after I assembled my tag I put some pretty little beeds on!

 

and there we go 

my first simple card for the week

Boring uh?

I know it's hard for me to do simple

but as you know by tnow I like a good challenge

and trust me that will be the entire week

first with my blog challenge

and for work

our office staff have Thursday And Friday off

so that leaves Renee and I!

We will have a busy week

althougth I will be taking Thursday off to spend with our visitors!

yhahooooooooooo I have not taken a day off since May 30th (do you think I can stay away from my office for entire day??)

good day

it's a beautiful Monday Morning!

I wondering when the weekend starts he he :-) Don't feel like I had one this past weekend! he he :-)

oh well there's always the next one right that maybe I can take off and not work - yha think???

sooooooooooooooooo I did get up really really early Sunday morning - how early you ask?? try 2:15am!

I know crazy - but I really needed to ink up those new stamp sets and I had to go to work so...........

yhap I got to play a little

want to see what I did?????

I had alot of fun and decided that this week I would have theme and I may just do these on a regular bases??? What do you think of that - have an entire week dedicated to a technique or a style or theme?

anyways......... Just a thougth - would love to hear what you think?

I decided to try some Collage Stampin - my first card is not as collage as I wanted but you will see the other cards that I will share this week I did get better he he :-)

all right so I started with Because I care it's a new stamp set!

 

do I researched the look of this beautiful flower

cause I kinda suck at flowers he he

the background I created I used Francais

and Wheeled the other half with The Very Vintage Wheel

I also did alot ink

the very very background I also used another wheel, it's called

So Swirly which I think is retired now

I used Black Staz On to stamp the image from the Stamp Called

Because I care

 

so here is the background I created 

I used my Very Vanilla trick that I showed you the other day

 

I Water coloured - I don't have my stamp pad for this beautiful New colour Called

Concord Crush yet - I do have the marker thouhg so that Is what I used

the center I used the new Daffohil Delight

and the leaves I did in the new Pear Pizzaz

can you tell I had fun playing with the colours he he

 

had a little visit with Mr. Big Shot

I used  both The oval Scallop die

and the Ovals die

 

after the ovals were cut I distressed them 

 

then I cut out all the layers 

  I used Glue dots to layer

 

I even distressed the ribbon he h
