Papaya Collage Stampin Up for Evan's Birthday Card

Good day y'all

yhahhoooo It's FRIDAY of a long weekend

oh yes that will be great

hope you will all enjoy this long weekend - the last one of the summer 

sooooooooo it's been a great week

super duper busy with all that had to ge accomplished

but we had a lot of success'

so that in itself is fabulous

even hit yoga 4 days out of 5! whooopppp whhhooooppp

today will be another day filled with getting orders accomplished

then a great yoga class with Sophie (tonight)

onto Stampin Up goodies(my trial and error birthday card lol)

so I worked on Evan's card for last three mornings now

let me say I had some major issues

and I am still not a 100% sure I like the card

but I sure like the photo I chose though to put on the front of  his

card - I cannot beleive that my son is now 22 years old yhikes!

does that make me old too???? lol

okay let me share with you how this card happened

get ready for some changes - hum? no lot's of changes lol

took out the stamp set

photos and some framelets

used the framelits

but wait till you see what happens in the end he he

then I thought I would like to do emboss resist with some real red sprintz

okay well that wasn't what I was looking for

more mind changing

ghuhr lol

see what I mean mind changing lol

I decided to created the frame for Evan's baby photo

I used the Papaya Collage stamp with Black Staz on

on the bottom it's the same emboss resist I did but darkened and I also cut it so only a quarter was used

the colours in the end

Basic Gray

Whisper White

Basic Black

Real Red

then I made some Real Red Pearls

I used our fab Stampin Up pearls

I coloured them with the real red stampin' write marker

then covered the pearl in Crystal effects

this keeps the colour on the pearl 

that is about the only part that I think is a whow a factor lol

it seems like I spent a lot of time on this card 

but it don't really reflects

sigh

annnnndddddd well there we have it Evan's 22nd birthday card

it's unique anyways right?? lol

and last photo

Blog Winner announcement and happy birthday to my son

so now I would like to take this time and wish my son a very Happy birthday

22 years ago this little baby boy was born almost 7 weeks early

weighing 5 bls 12 oz yhap pretty big for a premi!

it was a special day and we are blessed to have to wonderful children healthy and to be fabulous adults today

Son you make me proud to call you  - "my Son"

Renee and I stopped in at my mother in laws on our way to Calgary and look at her beautiful greenhouse

I got 5 large fabulous cucumbers

she also sent us with a nice care package yhummy and so sweet!

this photo is of some of the shirts that I did on Saturday morning

they are for my friends salon she had a BBQ for her staff

fun uh?

anyways I just had to share a few photos with you all since I have not posted since Monday

Good morning 

a new week has begun

it sure has for me lol been going hard since 1:45 am

it will be a busy day today 

We are heading to Calgary this afternoon for a course

so that's what I'll be doing tomorrow!

I will announce the blog candy winner tomorrow

it was a really great productive weekend 

worked Saturday part of the day

and I even got my baking done I wanted to

I also went to my Yoga workshop(off the wall yoga - 2hours yhikes)

woop woop

Sunday I make some really yhummy homemade soup

after my 90 min yoga class

did my grocery shopping - washed my Hummer

not too bad uh

oh and sorted orders too fergot about that 

the rest of the day was spent cleaning sigh he he

anyways today I do have a recipe I know it's not Wednesday sorry friends

but I had to share this recipe with you

its a copycat to the Starbucks Oatmeal squares

looks pretty the recipe uh?

let me share photos of the process

this is the base pressed into a 10 x 15 pan

you can also see the melted chocolate(with condensed milk)

and you can see some of the cookies I also made

I did about 120 cookies all together

I froze most of them

I also did a big batch of homemade spaghetti sauce which also went into the freezer

I did play for a bit in my craft room

prepping for the new groups

Kathy's group will be Sept. 30th at noon

and Annettes group will be Sept. 23rd at noon

note I have one spot left in Annettes group - are you interested in joing these wonderful ladies??

I'll share more details of the projects on Friday

so friends that will do it for me today

I gotta run I have my sunrise yoga class at 6:00am and I still have a few orders to key into the computer

Natures pace and last chance for blog candy

Good mornin to y'all
It's a Saturday rushing about morning for me
I am in the office multi tasking and trying to post this quick little card I created this morning
Oh yes it will be a busy day
Work
The contractors and painter coming to set schedule for renos
Errands and I gotta make cookies in there somewhere I also have a special yoga class today later this afternoon fun fun fun
I started this post earlier but something went wrong at my home computer so resorted to the iPad and went onto to work and here I am!
All right so I cheated a tad on this one friends
It's left over card stuff I had from the Christmas buffet class
But it's turned into an everyday card using the Natures Pace stamp set
Wanta see what I did?
I coulered on the velum
And cut it out
Colors: whisper white- gumball green- midnight muse and I used the gumball green ribbon for the bow
I watercoloured the grapes with aquapainter and ink pad!!!
That's my easy peasy card

Bootiful Occasions Stampin Up Halloween card & Blog Candy

Good morning y'all

It's Thursday whow nearing another end of the week

yesterday was not as I had planned 

but hey that is certainly okay

I really do love it when things pop up

I think it keeps me on my toes and I like to be surprised lol

we did not do that install yesterday it ended up raining and they could not bring it into the shop for us

so this afternoon we will be there installing decals on their crane instead

I always say

everything happens for a reason 

and it worked out perfect

the decals are ready and Renee did a beautiful design on gift certificates for Tangled Hair Design

they turned out great 

gooda job chikie

Tracey and I tried very hard to balance the statement we figured it out but it was challenging 

love that too lol

Miss Kayla you rocked out all them DACAPAS (hope you feel better today missie)

last night was a nice evening and I was able to catch up on some rest (after only sleeping like 2 hours the night before) it felt good to get 6 hours of sleep woop woop

so onto today

I got up at 2:45am to make a card and now I am ready to post it for you

I used the Mojo Monday sketch along with paper piecing challenge from paper players

 

I don't really do Halloween cards as per say

but this boot was just too cute not to use lol

so I used the stamp set called

BOOTIFUL OCCASIONS

along with the designer paper called

HOWLSTOOTH & SCARINGBONE

cut name uh?

the start to my card 

Very Vanilla Base

DSP and Basic Black

I added layers

the colours here are more mustard and I used Pumpkin Pie ribbon

I stamped the cute little boot 

on Very Vanilla - more mustard and the DSP

ready to do some paper piecing

all assembled 

I even puched some holes in the boot so the very vanilla would show thru

and voila my card

it's different but I think it's cute

Good morning to you all my friends 

hope this midweek day finds you all well!

It's been a great work week thus far

which is fabulous I'd say - celebration time he he

Today will be another super day

besides being away since 12:48am (I may have to go to bed a tad earlier tonight lol)

I get to do my 60 Hot flow yoga at 6:00am

then get into the office right after that

will help Tracey balance a statement

then Renee and I get to go to one of my favorite all time customers

This customer is one of my first's customers (oh yes I say that with great pride sigh)

Paul (my baby brother - yes still miss him every day- used to paint for his Cranes)

anyways we will get to make a big 100 ton Crane all pretty today 

love it

how blessed am I to do a job that I love and I get to work with three amazing ladies

whow thank you girls!

all right let me share a recipe with you since it is Wednesday after all right?

I used my new MDS2Plus to create this one

I really love the new version of this Stampin Up program

great to work in and it's got way way more options

how fun hey?

isnt this recipe just so pretty

I love how I was able to fade the photo so it was not so out there!

hope you like this one friends it's easy and fast to make 

but super duper yhummy

I want to share a few more photos with you

this is the taco layered dip that I made for my class on Sunday

I made fresh quacamoli and salsa 

for these

and I served them with nachos

they were really really delicious

they presented well in these little shot glass too he he

just had to share this one with you

Max was at the spa yesterday

he is so white and smells so very very good

he loves coming in the Hummer with us!

and look at this sunrise view from yesterday morning

it was just so pretty I had to take a photo

the field across our lake is pretty

ad the lake reflection is amazing

this was the colour of the sky last night about 8:30pm

the days are getting much shorter now

sigh

anyways friends I better get going I have to wake the boys up in about 10 min as the are heading out this morning 

not for work yet but that will come I know I am positive it will be real soon 

oh yes I positive talk to myself every moment of everyday

that is how I get everything done I  need to get done he he

Everything Eleanor Past Mojo Monday and BLOG CANDY

Good day yall

yes it's me really CAROLE'ANNE he he - I know

it's been a few days since I have had a chance to post for you all

but maybe the blog candy photo will help you forgive me

I have decided to extend the entry time till Friday since I was unable to post the last three day

I am so sorry about that!

We are having an amazing week at Mirror Image Decals & Signs

ever said how very blessed and grateful I am for my business

I am equally grateful for my super duper wonderful staff!

what a team I have

to top off the business of my company 

I am in the middle of picking everything out for the RENO's happening in the house

the new sinks - the new faucets - the new shower - the new tiles

have been picked

now fixtures and mirrors

and paint colour and we will be making waves lol

I am meeting with my reno contractor tonight and the painter Saturday

just gonna over all the schedules 

then at the land the boys are bailing so it's just been really busy

ouh and yes had an amazing fun time Sunday with the ladies that came to my Card Buffet

not a huge turn out but you know what it was still a really nice Sunday

I made some fun food and one the sweet ladies came with some very yhummy cookies and tarts

so all and all crazy

back to my card sorry about that

I used a different colour then I am used to 

but really fun to step outside my comfort zone a tad hey?

so the Green

is GARDENT GREEN

along with Basic Black and Very vanilla

DSP is Newsprint

then I stamped the background with Crump Cake

I also did some sponging

then I stamped the flowers from the stamp set called

EVERYTHING ELEANOR

I stamped with the garden green as well as the crump cake

I stamped onto the newsprint DSP

cool don't you think

then I layered and played around to make it look more as though it was a real flower

verses just a flat look

a pretty I created with the beloved toulle

oh boy I love that ribbon

then a few pearls and

add the base layers and voila

I think the little flower turned out okay

what do you think?

Christmas Buffet Sunday Class ready to go Happy Friday

Happy Friday to you all

whow I am really not sure where this week has good

good week 

just busy busy busy

which I am very very grateful and appreciative for keep them jobs coming

I love the work (so very very blessed to love what I do)

now we just need them boys to be working and this world woud be near perfect lol

anyways enough of work talk

I wanted to quickly share photos of the class buffet

7 cards we will have on Sunday

and I finally found a way to make little enveloppes work for the square cards that I created

I love the new 

SIMPLY SCORED DIAGONAL PLATE

(page 181 idea book)

it works great I just needed time to figure out the measurements 

phew I did it lol

so let me show you photos

there we have it

all the cards are ready

now let me share the enveloppe

all scored

I used the newsprint DSP cause it's lighter then cardstock

and I used the DSP on the card 

so how perfect!

voila my square enveloppe made with Newsprint DSP

I am really happy with this and I know that the card will look fab in there

and so this brings me to the end of my post today

I am heading to my 6:00am hot yoga class

last night's class was a hard one whow we love that Krista!!!

this afternoon after work I get to go pick tile - countertops - fixtures and paint for the reno's starting in the house

yes I am worried and I am going to be a tad stressed while all's happening

me and no kitchen could be tuff

but I'll make it lol

Good Morning

so yesterday sort of ran away on me

Sure I was in my craft room by 2:45am 

but by the time I created sheets and a quiz for the door prize for the Christmas Buffet Class

I sort of ran out of time to post as I went to 6:00am Yoga yesterday morning

My Renee even came with me

so nice

tonight will be Yoga for Strength with Krista

That is a good hard core class!!!! (get it the core he he)
