Stampin Stresss Away with Carole'Anne

Recipe still no creation in my Digital Studio - day 2 of swap cards

phew IT'S FRIDAY

I cannot tell you how happy I am to get to Friday of this week

It's been certainly an extra long week!

With my own little mental pep ralley I made it yhippy

and although I have been up since 1:55am I am sadly not going to be in my craft room long

going to post this for you my friends and then getting ready to go to work

I have to make sure I am on a ladder by 1:00pm today to do two trailers on site

I love installs and they always make me feel productive and proud when I leave

so this will be a nice start to my weekend

so I want to share two more swap cards

these two are from Robbie and Cynthia

I really love that little wheel that Robbie used - and the ribbon on Cynthia cards just sets the card

let me share with you what my craft room looks like rigth now

remember we are doing the trade show on April 20 to 22nd

that sunflower will get a make over

oh don't worry I'll be sure to share what we are doing with all these goodies

sorry for no recipe today

I had all good intentions of getting it done for you honest

but my day started yesterday at 5:00am in my office and I left at 5:15pm

I was done had to make super for a clan of 8

clean up and a some downtime

that my brain and body really needed!

to be back at it today- chin up shoulders back smile - Happy thoughts

I am doing this! he he

I will no be able to post this weekend

I really hope you all understand and I look forward to catching up this Sunday

so here's to hoping for some Stampin Time in my Craft room

Stamp a Stack and Class fun

Good day to you on this FINE TUESDAY morning

my week is off to a roaring start

which is always good in my world

I love to be busy and always so thankful for the business that keeps coming my way

I am blessed to have my own business along with wonderful friends and family

let me share some photos with you today

first I want to show you what I am working on for the

STAMP A STACK

the one that the theme is

ALL OCCASIONS

DATE: April 14, 2012

Time: 1:00pm

in my Stampin Stressaway Craft room

wanta see????

took all 6 of my stamp sets out

then decided to use cardstock that I don't play with much

tempting turquoise

should be fun fun fun!

let me say that this weekend was a busy one with lot's of extra stuff going on

good stuff ofcourse

estimators came and went to get the renos done to the house (oh yes I am sure you will be seeing photos of that along the way lol)

we had an awesome meal on Saturday night

honeygarlic meat balls (I premade them on Friday morning and seasoned them put them in fridge)

they were so tasty after being in the seasoning for 36 hours (baked them in low oven for about an hour)

I also cooked the shrimp in garlic butter sauce at the same time as meatballs

I made mashed potatoes

along with brocolli and my homemade cheese sauce - also made homemade chicken noodles soup

and the morning started with dreamy homemade waffles with whipped cream - Fresh cut up strawberries and homemade strawbery syrop

we were 9 at dinner love it!

on Sunday I planned ahead cause I had class (Annettes group)

so I made homemade chilli

and sheppards pie

I also did a spinach dip and took out lot's of my yhummy baking

my mom brought some super duper stuffed sandwiches along with my favorite squares (Date Swquares)

thank you mom so good (she got to stay for dinner - although the crew was kinda in and out - so we did not really get to all sit at the same time)

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo having said all that

not exactly like the design I created

he used a few extra elements and extra stamped image

Monday catch up post

Good day y'all

it's a new week - happy Monday

hope you all had a GREAT weekend!

We had a busy one - and having said that today will be a mixed bag of a post

I have played in my craft room a BIT

and I was able to come up with a theme for

STAMP A STACK

it's

ALL OCCASIONS

We will be making 6 cards

a Mothers day card - Fathers day card - Wedding card - Baby Card - thank you Card and an any event card

so I am on card 4 - of the design process

I will share the group of cards during this week sometime

sorry that I don't have a card today

but I have  some fun stuff to share with you

oh and Wednesday i will announce the blog candy winner!

ouh and today Renee and I are off to a Promotional products show for work (my regular real (full time) job at Mirror Image Decals & Signs)

it will be GREAT - Tomorrow Safety Training (if I don't post you know why)(for Rex's company Enviromulch - my second job(full time))

Wednesday I may just be in the office all day - well I hope anyways!

all right enough chattin

let me share a few projects that Renee and I have been hard at work with

First Renee designed a logo for one of my friends whos just started a new salon

here's a photo of a Mirror prior to the new logo decal was applied

this is a really big mirror in Jackie's salon

Renee created the logo and we put it on the mirror

cool uh?

we did decals (etched glass look)

on all the mirrors in the salon for each of the stylists stations

we also did decals above the doors for each of the rooms

like the manicure room and stuff (but the photos did not turn out so good)

onto another project

this is a banner that Renee created the lay out for

it's for a local company they are using the banner in a trade show next week

looks neat uh?

now how about some our fur babies photos

Charlie really loves his toys

and Goldie is just happy to hang out in the house

let me share one last photo with you

They were both sitting on Renee in the Hummer

oh and Doggie school again tonight (way busy he he never a dull moment)

Out West last masculine card from Stampin Stressaway

holly I cannot beleive that the end of March is just about upon us

April is going to be a super crazy month for us

and I hope I can manage to do it all

having said that I will not be holding our regular stamp class' for April

Mirror Image Decals & Signs will be in a trade show on April 20th

and we have Easter in there

and the end of the month I will be traveling out of the country (stay tune for them details)

so I only have one weekend left in the month of April

having said that why not hold a STAMP A STACK

haven't done that in a while

I will be holding the stamp a stack on

in the Stampin Stressaway craft room

we will start at 1:00pm

I don't have a theme yet (but I am working on it)

so as soon as it's designed I promise to give you all a sneak peak

I  used the embossed  boot for this card

did you know you can colour on cork

I know I never knew either

worked beautifully

a little sponging

colours here are

early espresso - so saffron

interesting combo uh

but hey it worked beautifully

I used the greeting from the same set called sweet treats

made like a banner idea

adding a few more details

cut out a little bit

ahw I like that brad there better

it's getting there

the satin ribbon is nice - my opinion lol

Out West Masculine card created with cork

good morning on a non recipe day lol

today is supposed to be a recipe day but I am changing it up a bit

sorry friends!

instead I bring you another card

still taking the design from the Idea book and putting a

Carole'Anne spin on it

I just got this stamp set and I also got some cork - which I had never used before

it was really fun to work with

so let's start

here's the idea

I chose 4 pieces of DSP from the well worn pack

I actually love this DSP

then I took out my stamps and layed them on the cork

the first ink I tried was Black staz on

then I thought hum?

wonder if I could emboss on this???

guess what it work!

cool uh?

I used the stampin up die to cut the circle

with Mr. Big Shot ofcourse

work beautifully

I also did two more circle

colours I used were

not quite nave and early espresso

now let's add details

since I had never adhered cork before I tried a few things and found that the tombo was the best adhesive to use here

it's coming together nicely don't you think?

a greeting from Sweet shop (I know uh?? but it was the perfect font)

I also coloured some seam binding

I like the look of the seam binding

I did not colour it solid - wanted to look a little ruff you know?

I ended up distressing the edges a little

a second look at the card

Plant hope continues with inspiration from the Stampin Up idea book

Good morning

hope your Monday was good and your Tuesday will be even better

we are crazy busy at work this week and we are tryin to get ready for a tradeshow

I know I think I am CRAZY

lol

okay so remember the inpsirational photo yesterday from the Idea book

well moving onto day 2 of the card creations with a Carole'Anne twist

I pulled out the trees out of the Plant for Hope set

I started by using the same technique as yesterday with colouring right on the stamp

I used Old Olive and Early Espresso

and I also used the same cardstock

it's the Confetti white

I used a beautiful texture to add something something

now for some details

I used tombo glue to put the buttons down

a little greeting and then I am done

what do you think of make take on this card

again a great man card

but it could pass for anyone really??

so this is my second card for the week

tomorrow I will share a recipe

I am not sure which one yet

so many choices and Ideas uh?

I guess it will be a surprise lol

so for now I will leave you with well wishes for the fine Tuesday

Plant hope masculine card - reproduced from the stampin up idea book

Hello friends

it's a new week

it's going to be a good week I can feel it!

We had a successful week last week and Friday was wonderful Renee and I learned so much from a new supplier

I'll share some of that a little more in the weeks to come okay?

ouh and Saturday brought a wonderful (kinda like a Sunday dinner)

all my kiddlets were home

We had Evan and Kayla

Renee and Woody

Tyler and Shawna

and Rexy of course

dinner for 8 was served

I made yhummy Slow cooked Pull Beef (in a smoked beer sauce that I made)

I also made creamed potatoes

broiled broccolie

and I had made cream of broccolie soup for lunch

so that was dinner Saturday night

oh yes sorry you are not hear to read about my blah blah right lol

all right let's move onto my theme for this week

I have taken a card from the Idea book and I reacreated it to make it a

Carole'Anne card he he

ready??

so I decided to pay with

Plant hope stamp set and reproduce these two cards

stamps ready

choosing a bit of different cut out shape

now for some colours

hum thinking thinking thinking

Time to stamp
I used the stampin write markers to colour right on my stamp

after it was stamped took out my pencils and coloured the little pot

and blended it

I used Confetti white for the cardstock here

then I cut out this cute little tree

it's looking good

all rigth we are getting there right?

greeting and then I am good to go

ready to see the final look of the

Carole'Anne Card inspired by the Idea book card

voila my first card of the week

In Wilderness Card is complete and finishing the masculine week

Good day

whow it's Saturday holly - whered the week go?

today is also my Uncle Marce's birthday

so Uncle Marce here's to you having a super fabulous day!

all right where'd we leave off on this card????

oh right okay so I punched out the image that we played with

you know the one we used the stamp-a-ma-jig on

I also create a nice frame

colour here is Marine Mist

then I punche a black oval

and cut it

looking nice uh?

now doing some layers

looking good

details needed now

I love using satin ribbon

created a beautiful bow and chose a greeting from petite pair

after I stamped the greeting I used

the oval punch

size: 3/4'' x 15/16''

I punched the greeting - one piece of the marine mist and one basic black

cut them apart

the layers are nice uh?

now to assemble

when I have framed image like this

I like to pop it up with dimentionals

now for a few last little details

here is the final look to my card

sooooooooooo the news is

I will continue with the masculine cards

next week though I will do simple masculine cards

by taking a card from the Idea Book or mini catalogue and

making it Carole'Anne Style

In the Wilderness masculine week continues

Hope you did not mind my family share from yesterday!

yes I am a little proud of my family and always feel so blessed when we get to have dinner together

so today I have one more card to share with you

this one is still on the masculine theme

It's a card I created with the set called In Wilderness

ready

same technique used as I did on Monday's card

now this image is very detailed so I used the stamp-a-ma-jig

Janet this is for you

step one

line up the tool the the left of the imaging sheet

Step two

hug the edge of the Stamp-a-ma-jig with your stamp

and stamp on the imaging sheet

Step Three

line up your imaging shee over the stamped and coloured image

Step Four

gently align the stamp-a-ma-jig

just like in step one

(try to not move your imaging sheet - if does reposition it to make sure it's aligned correctly over your coloured image)

Step Five

hold the Stamp-A-ma-jig firmly

and remove the imaging sheet

almost ready to stamp

load your stamp with ink (I used black staz on)

still holding the Stamp-A-ma-jig

bring your stamp to the edge of tool(huging it well) and firmly stamp

voila you have used the Stamp-A-ma-jig successfully

I like to use it for overstampin like in this image

that way the image becomes a little brighter
